Good hook set from the weak side!
The Spro floater 8” and a Hudd 8” ROF 0 are great on the surface. They can just sit there, be paused and fished very slow.
The Hudd rigged the BB way hides the hook and when they power suck it in, the hook finds their mouth surprisingly well.
The Spro you can add another joint for a 12” bait but the sinking versions are no good.

Start with proven baits for sure, Hudds, slammers, swavers, bull shad, etc, those are just a couple to get started with to get confidence in bigger baits
