If people knew in the 80’s what we know about the rampant abuse and other sick stuff that happens in the entertainment industry there may have been a different result/ verdict in the Brother’s Trial. Also at that time abuse was still often swept under the rug, not talked about, and things like grooming and narcissistic control were not understood or discussed as they are now. At first, i wondered why there was a second trial and why the abuse was ommited in the second trial. Someone with money must have been behind that. And so the next juicy story, the mother was committing incest with Lyle & That's why he had got a shotgun too, one Mossad each, for each parent, who'd been plotting for 3 days to kill both sons & so, the imperfect self-defence case, was in place.

If people knew in the 80’s what we know about the rampant abuse and other sick stuff that happens in the entertainment industry there may have been a different result/ verdict in the Brother’s Trial. Also at that time abuse was still often swept under the rug, not talked about, and things like grooming and narcissistic control were not understood or discussed as they are now. Also there was a preconception back then that abuse usually happened to females. They shouldn’t have got ist degree murder but manslaughter with parole or no jail time. . After 30 years in jail it is more than time to release them. At first, i wondered why there was a second trial and why the abuse was ommited in the second trial. Someone with money must have been behind that. So, bis father had accomplices that didn't want this stuff to come out.
If you look up "the father of j-pop" (j stands for Japanese, for those who dont know), this guy also abused many young boys and they were not believed for a long time. Even shamed for trying to ruin someone's reputation. Also happened in the 80s, if i remember correctly. So sad to think how common this is and how long it's been going on. The judge had stipulated the condition that abuse evidence will be admissible only if Lyle testifies. But Lyle was exposed by then in the Venolli tapes, so he knew he will be torn apart in cross examination. And didn't testify even if it meant that abuse evidence will not be admitted then. He still has no substantial reason why he didn't he just says, 'Oh I was done with the trial by then'. Really your brothers life mean nothing to you? Anyway, it funny to see people defending these cold blooded murderers so passionately. They must be sitting in their jail cell and laughing at all the idiots that are rooting for them.

The "abuse excuse" even if true, does not justify pre-meditated murder. There was no imminent danger as they had to return to the house to commit the murders. They concocted a story in advance and then set about spending their parents money. There is also no proof that their mother had anything to do with their "abuse excuse" so at best they committed first degree murder on their mother. They would be and should be on Death Row in any other state.

5 days before the murders Lyle was told that he would have to remain living in the house while attending UCLA. Lyle told Kyle that he was being assaulted and didn’t want to live there anymore. There was an argument that occurred and Kitty asked what was going on. Kyle told the mother and she said she knew. That drove the Menendez brothers to snap. Kyle had his own condo and was attending Princeton. As a big brother he did what he had to do to protect his brother. During trial their defense attorney pulled out an envelope. On it, written by Kitty, said Kyles birthday 1994. Inside was photos of the boys completely naked.
Back then the boys felt they had to, simply because abuse was swept under the rug. They would have been ridiculed & not believed.
