That judge should never have been allowed to preside over the second case. He stated publicly that he would reach a verdict and then made sure the sexual abuse and violence could not be used in the second trial. No mention. It was a slam dunk for the DA. Absolute corruption in a room for so-called justice. The judge and lawyers should be in jail.
May Cousin Andy RIP. This abuse destroyed the whole family. The fact that both sides of the family support the boy's says enough. They tried to do what they could to stop Josè but with a mother like Kitty... those boys didn't stand a chance.

The fact that the entire adults knew the kids were being abused also makes you question if Andy was also a victim of child abuse and other then-child victims involved but it's only been the Menendez Brothers bravely speaking up, but it's most likely he might be, but we'll never know more of his side of the story because he died young...and yes, if the entire adults knew it I'm going to suspect that they're guilty of the same thing too, no question and doubt about it.

These brothers feared for their lives and could see no way out. It is so tragic.
Would anyone in the police have believed them at the time if they had gone to the police?
Now knowing anything about trial at the time, seeing the witnesses' and the boys' statements now, which are utterly compelling evidence, I am at a loss to comprehend how they were found guilty.
May they be released soon and may they live happily for the rest of their lives.

You can see the look on Andy's face at trial that that was eating him up. I feel like the gravity of the outcome of the situation and possibly the guilt he felt that he could have done something different. But what could a 10 year old child do to stop a rich, powerful pedophile? Then after the aftermath of abuse boiled over, you see the ADULTS who suspected or knew something and said nothing. That poor man also fell victim to this terrible tragedy. RIP Andy 🙏🏽❤🕊

It doesn't surprise me that the Menendez brothers wanted Andy to keep it a secret. Even at a young age they feared retaliation from their parents. This is why it is so so important for adults to pay attention to the things children may not be saying, and to check in with them and establish trust. I don't blame the other adults in their lives for inaction, but Jose clearly dominated that whole family with an iron fist. It's absolutely tragic all around. Their cousin Diane testified that she even went to Kitty and that she brushed off the accusations of molestation. I guess either the others were not fully aware or they also were afraid to speak out. Very sad situation.

He was nervous and did not want his cousin to tell anyone, because he knew his father was a monster and somebody would get hurt badly if he found out that his son told someone. The son was in fear. Sad situation for anyone to be in especially a child! Afraid of the abuse and afraid of telling. Those boys were in a perv*rted prison long before they unfortunately landed in the institution. I remember thinking to myself way back then, though I did not follow the case closely but heard enough, "what did those parents do to those boys that they felt there was no way out except to....." This is an epidemic worldwide and especially in our country.
