HVAC Basics: Electrical - Project 3 Contactor, Fan, Thermostat & Transformer

This video shows the third electrical project for level one HVAC students. It's a little shaky& blurry in the beginning but smooths out after a few minutes. Students will wire a single pole switch to a fan motor through a double pole contactor. The contactor coil will be controlled with a line voltage thermostat stepped down to 24 volts with a transformer.

I wish this went through it step by step like the other commenters said, but overall, I wish you had lectures for more of the electrical in general. Youre such a great teacher, You cover Ohms Law and AC/DC current etc., but wish I had a teacher like you for teaching the rest of the HVAC components (rest of unit 12, unit 13, 14, in the hvac book you were teaching from for your epa certification videos). Im heading into Intermediate Refrigeration next week and dont know what I will do without you :( you saved me in beginning refrigeration and got me an A (unit 1-11)

I need something like this for my HVAC which, due to a circuit problem, stopped controlling the blower. To avoid replacing the whole unit, the blower was connected skipping the control unit, therefore it is ALWAYS on.

I've seen u its with two transformers one inside and one outside I don't understand the reason most troubleshooter install these can u make a video on that ?

Should do project wire to magnetized a screwdriver.

A 845 pony relay is easy way to do it.
But I do used a rib in a box is nice 2

It's a good video but you need to slow down and show people more of the connections instead of going through it so fast we know you know what you're doing but we don't know what we're doing so slow down
