    About the colour match:
    You could takt the car back to the Painstshop and paint the Wheel arch flare as it is prolonged into the door. As you´ve done it with the QuarterPanel. Have the edge of the flate as your paint line and blend it over to the bottom of the door in the area of the side impact strip.
    This will accentualte the flare a bit more, but no one will see the paint difference any more.

    Tonic Blue is one of those "there's how many variants!" Colours, you can get a perfect paint match for one car and if you use it on another tonic blue ford it'll be way off. It's not the UV damage or aging that causes the problem it's poor cleaning of the paint equipment in the factory between colour changes, so if a run of black cars was done prior it'll be quite different to one painted after a run of silver cars 👍 Go ask any painter how many variants of Mazda Soul red there are and see how long it takes them to stop swearing 🤣

    You have done a wonderful job in restoring this little car. Such a pity about the mismatched paintwork! 9/10 (would have been a 10/10 if the paintwork was properly finished!) Keep up the good work.

    • @JohnnyGetsCash
      @JohnnyGetsCash  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The tonal difference isn’t as obvious in person, but you will see in the next episode that after the whole car has been compounded and polished, the tonal difference is even less obvious! Not perfect I’ll agree, but on a car if this value and nature, I can let it slide! Thanks for watching!

    Hey Johnny, just a quick question. Do you mix paint yourself or do you get a mixed paint ready from a paint trader? I usually buy aerosol spraycans still but moving on to a professional system but still a bit of doubt around the paint im going to buy

    • @JohnnyGetsCash

    • @JohnnyGetsCash
      @JohnnyGetsCash  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You’re quite right, there is a bit of rust staining there as there was a small amount of rust on the inside of the door panel (which has been treated), however that little bit of staining is still present on the bottom edge, but rest assured this will be getting removed at the detailing stage!
