Hi. If i could i would like to ask for a bit of help! Ive had my quaker for around 2 months now. For the first 1 ½ months she wouldnt come out of the cage. I have fed and given her water daily all that time no one else doing it. She is now comfortable coming out of the cage by her self. But each time i try get close to her whether inside or outside of the cage she runs away. So i cannot get close enough to offer her a treat because she panics. Its like i can see the terror in her eyes. I dont know how to help her. 😢 thanks. Xx
@@debitopia before you get on your high horse, the cage door has been open every day since I got her and let her decide when she was comfortable enough to come out on her own rather than forcing her out. I sit and talk with her daily I have not left her locked up in her cage so judging before you know all the details about my situation is uncalled for. I have lots experience with birds I just am having trouble with my girl trusting humans. I have been in contact with the people who owned her previously and she was just left to her own devices all day. Which is probably why she is so skittish around humans. Your probably perfect in everything you do and don't need to ask for help occasionally, right? ffs. If you have nothing nice or constructive to say, then say nothing and just move along like a nice little girl.
@@debitopia your uncalled for comments have really upset me. I suffer with my mental health daily and am doing my very best for my birds. They have enrichment toys, fruit and veg, daily human interaction and free roam of my room. So for you to say I'm absusing my animals, knowing nothing about me is disgusting. I hope the next person you attack for asking for help is stronger than I am. So thanks to you I won't be asking for advice or help from anyone on here again. I guess I'll just sit in my ignorance for the rest of my little life..
Hi,
I think She needs more time to get used to everything and to learn that she will be safe and comfortable in his new home. It can take weeks or even months for a parrot to become completely comfortable in a new home. The best approach is to let your Quaker parrot set the pace and not try to force her to physically interact with you.i hope I answerd your question Jessica 😊.
@@BirdsTV4U Yes you have, Thank you. X
@@jessicahanvey179 no problem at all xx :)

El Lorito Mimoso parece un Rey comiendo en la mesa con todos sus platitos con buena comida.
Yes he is a little king of the house 🏠
Hi, My Chubby (Quaker Parrot) 6 months old, eats seeds and vegetables sitting on my palm, however after finishing starts biting my palm, fingers and nails very hard. He also starts growling a bit but gets normal within minutes and again starts climbing on my shirt etc. What should I do ?
I think its normal he wants to play with you I guess and wants your attention 😍🤩
@@BirdsTV4U Thanks for your response. I was wondering if he is hating me.
@npcclimited8140 no I don't think so 🤔..because he ate with your hand and climbed on your shirt that means he likes you 😏
@@BirdsTV4U Oh WoW ! that's a good news for me. He has also started imitating some sounds.......I talk to him and even take him out of the cage for at least an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening when I am back from my work. By doing this what I have observed is he does less of screaming, he however does chattering on low pitch and makes different unique sounds. I really enjoy all this.
Wonderful finches 🥰
Thank you ☺️
How do you deal with pin feathers on head have conure pairs never had to deal with pin feathers there like half open
It is quite normal. When a bird has a lot of feather regrowth following a molt, his head can be covered with small growths called pin feathers. A pin feather is quite simply a new feather at the beginning stages of growth.
Misting regularly will soften the hard sheath that forms around the pin feathers, which will make them easier to remove once the new feathers have grown in. Misting or spraying your bird replicates rainfall for the bird. You should do this 2-3 times a week even when your bird isn't molting.
@@BirdsTV4U he takes an wants daily baths lol plus insist on sitting on shower door steam probably good for them lol it's his first molt so to me looking perfect to kinda Mohawk spots missing lol looks weird like I said conure pairs help each other first time I might have to help lol he looks kinda like yours he is a turquoise opaline quaker
Hello Ive had my quacker parrot for about a month now and I’m struggling to hand tame him as everytime I try to get him on my fingers he walks away and bites. Any tips? Thanks
Be patient 😍and give him time and care.
InnshaAllah, he will be tame .
What is the best seeds for my Quaker parrot. I need your help. She doesn't want the sunflower seeds.
You can try pumpkin seeds and melon seeds.
Give her chilli 🌶
My Quaker parrot is 10 months old. She refuses to eat sunsflower seeds. She still having her handreding porridge
I think you should stop hand feeding her because she will be lazy and reduce slowly slowly.
Try fresh fruits, vegetables, and pallets and try mix seeds mix not only sunflower seeds. Check online for seeds mix.
How do i make my quacer get used to my hand and not flaying away when i get him out of his cage 😢
Give him time and care ☺️
There's a mirror in the enclosure, can't trust the channel!
Think positive ✨️
I mean the mirror is actually bad for the parrot’s mental health.
@@EagleEye-oe4xe 😊👍
I brought him a companion.
Mirrors have mixed responses depending on bird to bird. Some birds get aggressive, some birds see it as a mate (bad) and some birds love mirrors. I wouldn't completely write them off as bad, even though in many cases they can be.
@@a_literal_crow 💯 agreed with you
Paradise for a parrot! It's good that you have him🥹
I'm lucky to have him 💓
❤❤❤❤ much love ❤
Thank you ☺️
