@@ariffin128 Back in 2015, two-year contracts were still a thing at ATT :) The 6s was offered for $199, the 6 for $99 and the 5s for "Free," so long as you stuck with your carrier for 2 years.

I think the iPhone 5s was the first truly modern iPhone (or phone in general) that still looks really sleek and modern to this day.

I still have my mother's first iphone 5s she purchased back in 2013 until now. It is still running smoothly with social media applications. and the camera is still impressive as well.

😁 I'm still using 5s mobile with iOS 12.4 version. And normally all social media apps works fine with small slowness. I stopped updating iOS because it reduced significant battery capacity comparing to bought time. 😇 Overall still it’s working fine. Who else using iPhone 5s 🙌

I am using iphone 5s its my moms old phone
My stepdad still uses the 5s but has to upgrade before the end of the year, as Verizon is phasing it out by the end of the year, so it will become obsolete.

Iphone 5s was my first iphone and I still have it with me. The best phone of all time!
My first iphone and touch phone. Then it was the iphone 8. I've since moved on to android, but it's nice coming back to my 5s every now and then just feel how premium it was and get a little bit of nostalgia.
I flippin love the design of them honestly, like it's so compact!

Watching this on my 13 Pro Max but the 5s is still my alltime favorite iPhone of all time!
I've still got a 5S and SE 2016 in my collection and both could still be used today for most everyday stuff.

I feel deeply nostalgic and (also) sad to see my first iPhone (5s) being called a classic; it was latest and the flagship when I got it in March 2014. It is not just that, my literary soul misses all the things related to those times😉♥️
I just bought a refurbished unlocked phone to replace new bottom tier Samsung phone. Loving it. I don’t see any sense in Upgrading

I had this in 16GB,gold colour and my first iPhone ever and had this from 2015-18.It had an amazing camera and very handy!!

The 5 is my wife and my favorite iPhone. We've stuck out with the 6 and 7 until now and we're going with the 13 mini literally because it feels like you're holding the 5 which has such a wonderful form factor.
the 5s was my first and so far, last iPhone daily driver. I'm using a 6s now as a secondary phone, but the feel of the 5s still hits different. Shame it only lasted until ios12.

It would be interesting to see it's more usable on the newest ios version, since this is how you would use the phone today.
My iPhone 5 was my first phone and I got it when it came out back in 2012. After the 5 I went to a 6, then a 7 plus, then an 11, and now just yesterday, a 13. Out of all of the phones before the 13, the 5 was my favorite because of how it was shaped. Having the 13 now really makes it feel like an iPhone 5 which I’ve been longing for ever since 2014 when I traded it for the iPhone 6.

As an iPhone 6 Plus user I can relate to this video. (It’s still on iOS 10) it’s fast, responsive and has good battery life. But app support
I love using my 5s as a music device coz of form factor. I was so hung up on it’s form factor that I ended up getting 12 mini for similarity.
This was definitely my favorite design of the iPhone.

some apps like Twitter, Garageband, etc. are now on the last compatible version for some time but that's expected. Spotify just recently dumped iOS 12. phone is still surprisingly usable.
As of 24 Mar 2022, the latest versions of Facebook, Messenger, YT, Spotify, and Insta are still supported. Most casual games can be downloaded. Add more if I missed something.
the model was released in 2013 and continued to receive security patches as recent as late 2021. for me, that's the most impressive thing about this device.

Iphone 5s was my first ever IOS device and I never regretted getting one.
Btw, I think iphone 5s is still usable now, especially for those who just do calls and texting. I mean I know a lot of elderly who still uses the 4s up to these days. 😊
3G is getting shut down and this phone does not support VoLTE so you won't be able to use anything older than a 6 after the shut down.
i have one with about maybe 200hrs of run time on it total........its way too slow for me. the ram simply is not enough. just scrolling thru fb lags aloooooooooooot

5s was my first phone back in 2013-2017. And it's actually worth it.
I bought 5s yesterday for nostalgia haha the size was so compact so its very comfort to use for daily act, even the battery coudn’t stay for a long time it’s still fun and easy to use even it stucks on ios 12.5.5

Planning to get this phone some day even though I already have a high end huawei phone. I just love the aesthetics of this model
I just bought all 5 colours iPhone 5c on eBay, all pristine in what looks like apple repair boxes, and they’re running iOS 7 and they honestly feel so snappy and great! Even with a 6th one (yellow best colour obviously) I bought running iOS 10 it’s definitely liveable, plus with them being brand new their battery life is surprisingly good. I’m planning on framing them in the order they appear in apple marketing material from 2013.

Hey im also using all the colors of the 5c for an art project! Theyre so nice looking!
This was always the phone I wanted when I was younger but I got a 5c but I liked it that much more seeing it was like the one I wanted. Over time I kinda lost interest with the newer flatter designs so seeing them make a return with the newer phones is pretty nice. I’ve gone from 5c to the 7 to the x and now 13, it’s pretty odd how much has changed yet stayed the same.
For me, SE1 is still working very well both works and games with the latest ios, it's a legend...

I really like the 5s videos as it was the coolest phone at the time. Touch ID, Apple A7 and all those goodies made this phone so great and legendary. The iPhone 6 was trash because of Bendgate and curved design and the screen died and we replaced it but the repairman took the battery, sim tray, home button cable and did not repair the screen, so I was forced to buy a new device. It was on iOS 7 and I never updated it, I really didn't like iOS 9 and I was happy with iOS 7, lets just say it was the best phone I ever owned
It's the 6 Plus that suffers from bedgate, not the regular Iphone 6. Shows how much you know

I would like more videos like this, please. I used a 5S on iOS 10.3.2 as my daily driver between August 2019-March 2020, and it was okay, except for battery life.
Thats rare. Also ONE VERSION CLOSE to a version thats not rare at all (since you can downgade to it)
I was using the 5S as my only powerful phone for 1 full month, and it’s 2x slower than the SE on iOS 14 but it’s still pretty usable
Even my iPad mini 5 on 14.8 is sometimes slow... Apple devices nowadays are slower and less stable than androids with equal hardware

@@alekseyromanov9593 What are you talking about, the less capable iPhone nowadays are the 6S and SE and they are still crazily fluid ! Using a 7 years old iPhone never had been this easy.
@@Homme_De_Kro-mignon they are far from being fast... they're just "usable", no more. Maybe they can be fast just "out of the box", but with installed software etc. they won't be
@@alekseyromanov9593 I mean, they aren't as capable as newer iPhone, but I never experienced a slow-down on the SE using social media. Maybe with heavy games they won't be that fluid, okay. But they really don't struggle to run iOS 15.

It's an iPhone that was really hard to get rid of. It felt just--- perfect. But given every major upgrade until iOS 12, it started overheating and the battery was just not enough. So by 2019, the iPhone 5s was dead.
Same thing with SE1 :)

As a guy that is watching this on my iPhone 5s, I can say it had stayed strong for 8 years since the first time I bought it. And it’s still alive since then.
UPDATE: Currently have to change the 5s' badly torn-off screen and dead battery myself. It's been dead since last year and that's when I changed to Android.
Also rocking a 5s, I love mine mostly because it truly feels well engineered and almost hand crafted with all the intricate details, the later iPhones don’t feel like jewellery.
Also it’s crazy to think I’m writing this comment and watching this video on a phone released in 2013. Android devices don’t even come close in regards to software support, my 2014 Samsung S5 has LineageOS with no Google Apps to make it usable in 2022.

I always wanted a 5s when I was younger and looking back at it it's still as gorgeous as I thought it was back then. A little over a year and a half ago I bought my first iPhone (11 pro) and I love it but I wish I would've waited just a little longer for the 12 pro because it has those iPhone 5-like edges.
iphone 12 pro has battery issues and is a minimal upgrade over the 11 pro.
@@beksimir6369 yes I heard about the battery issues from 12 mini & pro users. Mine still works perfectly fine so I think I made the right decision but any line (X, 11, 12, 13, whatever) would’ve been a major upgrade for me because my last device was a 2016 Sony 😁

I used to be an Andoid user (LG) back in the days. When my sister upgraded to an Iphone X, I inherited her 5s. I still use it as my main phone everyday. Apart from some apps being not compatible with IOS 12.5.5, I can't complain. It still covers most of my needs and has all the apps that are essential to me. However, by the end of this year, I think it will finally be time to say goodbye and upgrade to a newer phone. That'll be my one of my Christmas 2022 wishes haha

I used a 5c for a few days as a backup in 2021 5s can't be to bad overall.
Using SE (1 version) since 2018. Still satisfied, only changing battery time to time

hahah this is me... although my friends laugh at it because i'm still use this cellphone :D, but I always like the design.. it's small and fits in my hand and easy to carry anywhere (Perfect desain ever for cellphone) and this is my 1st apple phone .. and i still like it until now almost 5 year 1 month since i bought it, everything is still working fine.. even though the battery might be getting weak
I used to have one as a work phone, it had a habit of going off at 50% (or any percent) battery and not coming back on until it was plugged into a charger, yet the battery capacity was fine and the phone was never dead once it came back on. I hated it and didn't touch an iPhone again until the 12 I was that put-off. Then the iPhone 12 was a great phone hardware-wise, but damn it's boring.
Same here, mine would die randomly even at 30 or 40% even after battery replacement. Also the battery life overall was not good, I was afraid to travel anywhere further without a powerbank. Switched to cheap android, great battery life… Supposedly new iPhones work very well but the 5S has tainted my view and I am scared to go for an iPhone now.
The speaker sound output on the 5s is awesome among others!

Still have two 5S working in my family. Little slow but does all they need. Simply amazing them still working ok after all these years. Yes we have had to replace the batteries but other then that still going.

I used this phone as my main phone in 2020, on ios 12. Then all the applications were installed to the latest version, but it lagged like hell, quickly discharged and overheated very much. Now the applications are already being installed with older versions and he has become more laggy

@@alexkolesnikov7331 it is the data used by our software it is between 5 to 6 Gb in my phone mine is 16 mob variant I didn’t take much photos or videos moreover I didn’t use much storage so I manage with 16gb

you can replace it, its not that hard but you are going to need some tools

My once phone is an iPhone 5s and it is still perfectly fine, although the 3g shutdown will be a problem
Your 5S may be usable still but if you have T-Mobile, it will be bogged down to 2G when the 3G towers get dismantled.

My second iPhone was iPhone 5s and I was very happy with it. It was the best iPhone ever.
I still use the 5s till date can't get over it . 5s is my primary device because it's more convenient for daily use an handy
