The one thing I really liked about the old youtube app was you could play audio from a video while the screen was locked. I remember I refused to update my iOS for over a year because I didn't want to lose that feature
@@callmedhinteyorwhateveruwa907 yeah but being able to do that for free and it being locked behind a paywall is a difference, and actually on the android side you had youtube vanced which basically gave you all the features of premium for free but the developers were forced to shut down development by google this week (the app still works but it won't be getting any more updates, i'll keep using it until it doesn't work and then start figuring something out)

Does anyone else remember when music videos weren’t viewable on mobile? It annoyed the heck out of me lol, I think it started when Vevo started taking over the music side of TH-cam and music videos would only show up on the search results on a computer

If nobody kept an iPhone like you did, with all the Original Functionality still Intact then people would forget (the way Big Tech seem to want people to)! If only Apple back then included a ‘Battery Health’ feature, it would have been interesting to see the state of the battery in that iPhone after 10 or so years! Thanks for doing this!

I really really miss downloading an app that let me download and store TH-cam videos for offline use. I had one up to a few days ago when my iPod broke and was stolen from my car immediately afterwards. needless to say when I set up my new iPod it didn't follow me on icloud. I'm in mourning!
I used to have and iphone 5 32gb because of the beautiful asthetic of it and because i was able to someday re install ios 6. Sadly is not working anymore and i regret now not having it working.

I love the old TH-cam UI overall. It just feels right (and, of course, nostalgic :D).

I remember that version. My first smartphone was the 3Gs. It was my first actual cell phone with an plan too (that wasn't a tracfone).
I never saw this. At least I don't think. When I was six in 2010 I barely knew how to use Google on my iPod touch, let alone what the youtube app did
