If your in the USA you wont be able to activate it at all anymore. Sprint is getting shut down next summer and T-Mobile isnt allowing any activations. Even if you moved it to another carrier, they wont let you activate it cause all US carriers are working hard and fast to shut down 2g & 3g networks at various points next year. Even though this phone had LTE, it made all its calls over 2G and did not support Voice over LTE. As a result, all carriers are no longer activating any legacy 2G devices and iphones which do not support voice over LTE, which include any iphone under the iphone 6 (first iphone to support VoLTE). If they were to activate any new ones it would slow down the progress to get legacy network frequencies transferred for the 5G buildout. Sad to say but it can only be used as a wifi device from here on out.

I had my 5c for years and I honestly think the plastic casing was an improvement over the metal they were using at the time. The iPhones of that time had cheap glass and the rigid metal casings had practically no shock protection. If a metal iPhone fell on its edge it might shatter the screen, but the 5c would just bounce around. Plus since the color was mixed into the plastic, rather than applied to the surface, scuffs were less noticeable afterwards

We all knew that the aluminium they used never screamed premium anyway, besides that annoying polished "premium chamfer" that scratched after a day if normal use. Plus the 5c was just nicer to hold, but the cases were kinda dumb, I do agree.

If you're wondering about unlocking, I haven't had any luck unlocking any Sprint phone, iPhone or Android unfortunately

As far as I know, you need to get the network of the previous sim to unlock it. There is probably other ways of doing this though

You have to unlock the phone to use it with any carrier. You can call the original carrier to do that.

There are websites that can unlock your iphone!!But you typically have to pay them to unlock your iphone and if that iphone model is listed on their website they can long as you know where to find the system information like such as imei numbers in the phone settings and the fee is sometimes cheap depending which site that you find can do it!!But they will also check if the phone has been blacklisted by checking the identifier number which in most cases will be the imei number and also it happens if the original owner/purchaser who had originally purchased it from the carrier did not pay it off in full therefore resulting in a carrier lock as well like you mentioned in your video that it is carrier locked to Sprint!! Although there are alternatives to unlocking it for free but it is above my knowledge in this concept!!!!!!But yeah that is my comments for this video of yours!!!!

i don't know man, this was apple's most recognizable phone imho. You could spot one easily from 100 feet away because of the colors. There was no confusing this thing with any other phone. Anyone older than 5 in 2014 remembers this thing.

I actually had one as a replacement when I broke my iPhone 5s' screen. I liked how light it was but it didn't appeal to everyone obviously

This was my first brand new smart phone. My mom got an iPhone 5 and gave me her old HTC Droid incredible but then when the 5c amd 5s came out I wanted the 5s but got a green 5c instead. Great phone and I still have it. FYI I'm currently using a Samsung galaxy s8+

All of these phones are no longer able fo be activated right? Because most 3g networks are shutting down early January? So no network wants to add any new phones that use 3g, as far as I know most of these older iPhones (pre 6) will never be able to be activated again.

I had a 5C at one point. It was quite nice. It was very comfortable to hold and had a very fun feel to it. It should’ve had more than 8GB of storage and Touch ID . I’d love Apple to bring it back with that same plastic back but maybe with the iPhone 13 screen.
