- Hey guys my motherboard crashed late last year and to save money I decided to bake it!!
The motherboard issue I was having is when I pressed the power button all lights came on but the screen would not. I took it to a technician and they verified it was the motherboard being the problem.

never mind.. it actually worked. was not expecting it to. this 20 yearold mobo hs new life!
Awesome! Glad to help.
The thermal pad was for the gpu.
man I did the same thing and the damn thing worked. I was about to toss my laptop lol!! I had just updated the wifi card and cpu...
Lol the graphics failure from overheating was so common with HP laptops, especially the DV series
The previous laptop ran well. One friend dropped 2 times tea on his laptop and does not work. I will see if this time I can bake the motherboard at home and run :)
Wash with isopropyl first
Worked for my girlfriends Lenovo! Thanks!
It works!!! Kept 10 minutes on 185 Celsius and after baking amber light indicate on power supply problem and no sound at all. After baking, the problem with blank screen removed. Now I can be sure to dispose motherboard because it is finally useless.
Amazing
I dropped water on my laptop and stops working. I change the mother board and was working fine and the old one I baked. The CPU was attached to the motherboard this is the motherboard type for lenovo x200. So after the bake I tried and it works so I sold it 20 euros :) and now is still works after 1 year
the plastic around the big electrolytic capacitors shrank around the caps. should i be worried?
mine explodet
When it works, ain’t it grand?
That’s badass
thanks man
use foil paper to cover plastic components i have done this before it works but you have to cover plastic with foil paper
That pad was for graphics card,
385 degrees???? But now Celsius I suppose..........what happened after the baking to the plastic components on-board??? Like the tampon battery connector, ram connectors and so on, I would like to do the same but I'm worried about this detail.
Thank you in advance.
+Gianluca L. This is in Fahrenheit. Everything worked fine for me, just take out any plastic coverings. Some things will not come off though.
Gianluca L. 350 ten minutes it’ll be fine
That's 200 Celsius.... 196 exactly but just put 200
Wow its harley its rarrzi ! not spoke in a long time!!!!
Hey!
hey man ! lol you still play xbox ?
Deceh-HQ Some not much though
Oh.
THANK U
I notice you bake the CPU too. >.> You should had removed it.
Didn't really matter.
Um. What? What is this even accomplishing? What problem is this even solving???
I believe the high heat slightly melts the solder to "reflow" it in the gaps?
You said you took off the cpu off but its on the motherboard
ian stephenson some have removable CPU’s. Like his
It worked?!
Sure did lol
Can you use the oven against for normal cooking because I saw that it releases harmful gases
Gas goes away...have good ventilation and don't inhale it and your good
385 what???
fahrenheit. it is equals to 200celcius
