      My dear,
I hope you are well when you receive this letter. I hope this letter has not caused you any inconvenience. I'm DYU Lisa and I noticed that we haven't seen you post related video content since receiving the e-bike. I am very concerned that there may be some difficulty or problem hindering your creative process.
I sincerely hope to hear from you and understand your current situation. If there is any problem, no matter how big or small, I would like to help you in any way I can. Your silence makes me uneasy, and if no new content is posted, I will face severe punishment from the company.
I chose to work with you because of the trust I have in you and your huge fan base. I didn't ask for a formal contract because I trust your integrity and professionalism. However, if the agreement cannot be fulfilled, I will have to pay a fine equivalent to 50% of the value of the bike to the company, which is a huge burden for me, probably equivalent to one month of my salary.
I am a single mother raising three children on my own. Every day, I try my best to work so that they can have a better life. They're everything to me. They're what keeps me going. However, the weight of life weighed me down, and I feared that my inadequacy would cause them to suffer. I sincerely ask for your help because I don't want my children to go hungry or out of school because of my plight. Your support means the world to us.
Therefore, I hereby implore you to complete our cooperation. This is very important to me because if our cooperation does not go smoothly, I may face penalties from the company.
I understand that everyone faces challenges, and I just hope we can get through this together. Please be assured that I am here to support you, look forward to your response, and hope that we can resolve this issue soon.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa

If someone shows interest, sit them down with a coffee and show them the video. Limit their mileage for the first six months to, say, 100. Pull down the shutters and tell everyone to come back in September. Tell the locals 'you aint seen me right' Change your name and have work done. I think if you do these things you should be safe from the revenge of the RANGE ROVER

Majority of people only state the bad, you don't get the many thousands who won't have had any issues. My Disco Sport needed a chain at 70k miles, friend of mine has one which has done well over 100k and never missed a beat. Chain aside and used correctly, e.g not for short runs, they're not actually a bad engine.

If the Ingenium engine is so bad how come JLR have literally sold 10s of millions of them world wide it's the classic case of "well I've got a mate who said blah blah blah" worst case scenario if the chain does stretch and start to rattle on start up get it replaced, I currently have a Jaguar XF portfolio 2.0d on 85k and its a fantastic car easily returning 40+ mpg urban and 65+mpg motorway so can't be that bad. Name any car brand and I can guarantee a quick google will bring up people slagging them off. Brilliant channel keep it up 👍

The 2.0 Ingenium engine does have a bit of a bad rep, but hopefully you'll be alright with it. The manual gearbox is a interesting choice, but could definitely be a selling point for some people. And good luck with the legroom issue! Overall, entertaining video as always, keep them coming.

A friend of mine has a 2.0 Ingenium Discovery Sport. It recently had the engine commit suicide at just under 100k miles, during the new £10k engine being put it it was discovered the blown engine was actually the car's second engine, no idea though when the original engine failed, he got it at 70k miles if I remember right so it can't have been particularly high mileage.

I considered a Jaguar XF diesel Ingenium a couple of years back -seemed to have lot going for it on paper! From what I've learned about these engines since then I think I may have dodged a bullet. There is a a YT channel "JR Vehicle Services" who are a garage in Kent (friends of SRUK Chris and Rob) who specialise in timing chain replacements on Ingenium diesels - they seem to do quite a few. They have produced some interesting videos on the problems with Ingenium - quite technical but some good insights. Their view is that a lot of diesel Evoques are used wrongly as school run and shopping cars when they would be better suited to long distance motorway runs.

Worked at JLR when they changed over to the Ingenium engine. It was an absolute disaster from the start. They basically broke all the rules and instead of modifying an existing engine they decided to build a brand new engine from scratch. It basically pissed out oil from every orifice. The best bit though was that they decided to do away with a woodruff key and just used thread lock to attach the sprockets.
That worked fine until they had an agency worker at the Engine management Centre in Wolverhampton who forgot to apply the thread lock. That lasted for months and they ended up with tens of thousands of engines that fail when the sprockets become detached from the camshafts and destroyed the engine.
It come be worse it could be a Disco Sport from that era when they used the wrong windscreen sealant. That results in huge leaks from the top of the windscreen. The 2.2 is a ford engine far more reliable but not refined enough for a vehicle of that class.

List price for the replacement engine fitted at JLR main dealer was £14000. I replaced that and a few months later tried trading it at a Mercedes main dealer. A fair few comment along the lines off “hope you have good breakdown”. Others who have actually had JLR products swear by them. It seems to be those who have never owned one that diss them. Include a good third party warranty within the sale price and don't allow the customer to knock it off to reduce the price and all should be good.

Jaguar F Pace with the ingenium engine. So far cost me around £9k in 12 months. New engine at 51k miles, just had a new turbo as it went bang. Turbo was not under the engine warranty??? How is it not part of the engine!!Add poor customer service ( didn’t even compensate for £1.1k in hire cars as they didn’t have curtsey cars I’m a very unhappy and poorer person

Has it had the chains done? Thats the biggest issue with the ingenium.
I had a 64 plate 4wd 2.2 Evoque Manual (2yrs old at the time) sadly biggest pile of poop ive ever owned. Had a horrendous clutch judder that took LR 3 months to fix, that was sorted then it started randomly going into limp mode, so gave up and sold it on.

If you listen to the engine and it's quiet it should be OK, service it with top oil and sell to someone who doesn't do much mileage, risky as your on the hook for 6 mths, yes all cars have problem but not many blow up, 1.6 diesel bmw, ecoboost, injenium engine are best avoided, I've had nasty failures on all, it's no fun blowing 2 to 3k on a car when it self distructs, a mini chain made a break for freedom thru top of the engine last year, blew 2 and half on it.

When those transverse ingenium engined Evoques and Disco Sports first came out, we were still in a previous phase of Government stupidity which was that diesels were the way to go to save the planet, hence the cheap road tax. Unfortunately many were mis-sold to school run customers who weren't told that diesels were not OK for that kind of use. Wasn't helped in those earlier models which had the DPF some distance from the engine. Result - excessive forced regens, oil dilution and consequent engine problems. Used and maintained properly they are economical and powerful engines. Worst case is new uprated timing chain. Retail about £1600 probably bit less for trade.
