I picked up my 2023 P530 SE 2 weeks ago and agree with your assessment 100%. I’ve had a lot of cars over the years and it’s my favorite daily driver. Absolutely serene driving experience. Got a Huracan Evo and Ducati Panigale V4S for the weekends when I need excitement.
I like the designs and looks of the Range Rover´s very much but unfortunately they have to much electronic issues over the years and the repair cost´s are very high for this brand but for people with enough money i think that is not a problem to buy one because they look good and they drive really good.
My grandfather has been using range rovers since I was born, he has a 2021 Range rover sport and it hasn't caused him any issues, he used to have 2018 SVR before this no issues, he had told me the most problematic he had was a 2016 it had some sort of coolant issue. I genuinely think it depends on the person using the car aswell my grandfather didn't even know he had an SVR until I told him
Reliability is, fairly, a concern. However, each of the German luxury competitors run into reliability issues at a certain stage. All vehicles in this class are great for the first owner, but become a greater risk for each consecutive owner out of warranty.

Excellent review! I know RR very well, I had 6 of them in a row starting with the first good looking RR, the 1995 model, prior models looked strange, like volvo's on stilts. My RR's had different engines, incl the BMW and Jaguar 8 cylinders. I used to drive 45k miles annually during those years between Northern and Southern CA, and while I also had a MBZ S 600, a twin turbo 12 cylinder, which is more of an executive jet, awesome and lovely to drive, the RR was still my fav long distance car. The newer models started to become RR Suburbans, too big and lacking sporty handling. I now drive my 2nd BMW X6M, the sharpest SAV on the market, eats Cayenne Turbos for breakfast (my wife has one I find the car boring). I still find the RR an awesome car, but too bulky, while the smaller RR Sport cant come close to the X6M. Incidentally, that is the BMW engine RR now uses in the car reviewed here. If I had to drive mucho long distance miles again, I would get my 7th RR in a heart beat! I always had a love affair with the RR starting with the 1995 models. And for the folks on the fence, I say 'go for it', and no, I never had a single problem with any of my RR, despite the huge miles I logged.
I enjoy your enthusiasm for the RR. Fav part when you are pushing her on the road and really getting a feel for her performance. You are the first person to comment on the door only having a notch at fully extended; I wonder if this is because of the optional self closing doors?
Re: self closing doors, in Harry’s Garage review of a Belgravia green new rr he mentions that there will be an option of powered self-closing doors like the Cullinan. In the RR I believe you press the brake pedal to power close the door without having to pull it closed. I wonder if RR avoided a half open door hold position because of the optional powered self close doors. Do you know if the Phantom and Cullinan have half open door positions? The L405 rear doors on the LWB SV I have seen with power closing doors too actually. I am not referencing the standard self close on all full size RRs for the final 1/4” of self close.
I have a previous gen Range Rover with self closing doors, and it has several notches. However, because it’s a relatively heavy door, the notches sometimes aren’t enough to stop it. I wonder if that’s what’s happening here with this RR?
As for the interior, the facelifted last gen was definitely more luxurious. There was incredible british luxurious design and now it’s very minimalistic like a Tesla. When you’re putting down that kind of money for a luxury suv you’re not paying for minimalism, but luxury and extravagance. Compare this with it’s direct competitors the Bentayga or the Cullinan and you’ll see what I mean.
It's not like the engineers don't have more room to move the entire rear seating section back 1/2 foot. That's one thing I look for is ample leg room in the rear especially for the longer road trips comfortability
Nice review! I was considering the G63, but I heard the 2023 model will have the new MB infotainment system. Plus they are going up on the price again. The R R wins for me.
Love these its my dream to own one of these and I really don't understand why people say these are unreliable, it comes down to the driver as land rovers and range rovers are reliable ss long as you care for and service them, but people just don't care for their car. Anyway this is my dream great vid and 0-60 in 4.8 sec... thats insanely quick, especially considering its over 2.5tons.
@@user-kd9vj6dq5l no you're right people don't lie both my friends have range rovers one is over £30000 this one is very reliable no problems in fact the other is under £30,000 and its had alot of problems they still both love their cars when his dad turns 50 hes getting an SVR, you just need to service and maintain them, they are the best cars in the world high peak autos speaks the truth about them

The new Range Rover really is something special. The interior quality is amazing! And the power train is phenomenal. Just some minor complaints I kinda have: the middle center arm rest is automatically controlled and it takes forever for the thing to go down. Yes, it’s luxurious that it’s automatic, but it can sometimes be tedious, especially when you press a wrong button and accidentally make it go back up again. That would take another 15 seconds. 🤣 And second, it’s a Range Rover, and Land Rover/Jag cars have scored the worst reliability out of any car. So hoping the new ones would be more improved and not break down as much as old gen Range Rovers. But overall, an absolute amazing episode of an absolutely amazing SUV! 👍🏼
I do agree that some things are power operated unnecessarily. Re: reliability, yes, JLR doesn't score well, historically, but neither, frankly, do the German luxury competitors. All vehicles in this class are great for the first owner, but become a greater risk for each consecutive owner out of warranty.
Yes definitely. It just comes down to true love of the SUV and if they really like it or not to withstand the expensive repair costs that come their way. But thank you for your input Miles 👍🏼 Also: My dream SUV is a BMW X7. But I really show a lot of respect towards the new Range Rover!
Thank you. I am in China and Iam considering the range rover. However the new model is much more expensive than old model ,Chinese sellers said this is due to global product shortage and oversea markets are adding additional price in addition to MSRP. I wonder it. Is there any body can tell me do you need to add money for a available (prepared to sell) range rover in US? And the delivery period if ordering a self-configured one?
Dealers are asking more for the ones already on the lots and the waiting for a factory order is in months, closer to a year depending on the specific config
This is more comparable to the GLS because SUVs usually have more body roll than sedans, so the sedan may feel a bit better, but if your taller, the Range Rover may be the better option
Not a LR fan per se. That said I have respect in abundance for the Big Body RR. Elegant design and timeless. Will still have a Lexus LX600 or Escalade for myself. Great 👍🏻 review as always Miles.

This is more comparable to the GLS because SUVs usually have more body roll than sedans, so the sedan may feel a bit better, but if your taller, the Range Rover may be the better option
