Scotty, I own the exact same car. It's a 2019 2.0T with 80K on the clock. Not a single issue with the car whatsoever. The only thing that I have done is oil changes every 6K and I had the transmission fluid changed at 60K with genuine Honda fluid. I also own a 2004 Mach1 and may I say that the Mach1 is faster, this 2.0T gives it a run for the money! It's a very reliable car. I did have the option of buying it without the low profile tires and I took it. It still has the original tires with plenty of tread left.

Honda solve the problem with software update, I do have on my 1.5 accord a catch can oil, I haven't see any gas on the catch can only very little of oil that not even reach to 1 once at every oil change . just went to Florida from NY back in forward with 2.700 k miles in total and not a single drop of gas in the catch can. The miles for Gallon is amazing on 1.5 L. in highway 40.7 to Florida and 39.8 driving back in NY.

Just a fyi let the gas tank go empty and throw in one of those fuel injection cleaners and fill it up with premium gas and do not keep putting 87 octane in it. your si will eventually start feeling like its losing power over time even though its a 4 cylinder it requires 91 octane or better specialy if you have a turbo. Please dont kill your engine faster than normal just because you want to save a couple dollars on gas. I have a 07 si and I didn’t know it required premium gas i was using 87 and slowly started noticing a difference specially because Si stand for sport injection which means direct fuel injection so you need to keep those fuel injectors clean with premium gas otherwise you will loose power and will have premature problems

Due to the crankcase breather design of the 1.5 they can't get rid of the extra fuel vapors attributed with turbo charging. So over time fuel builds up in the oil, which lowers it's effectiveness at lubricating the engine. Long drives help reduce the vapor build up and ive heard people recommend changing the oil sooner than the intervals recommend by Honda. The NA 1.5l engines are fine though. :)

I’ll be honest when I first heard about the oil dilution issues I was a little concerned. But after taking a look at the situation it’s a nothing burger that’s been blown out of proportion by lazy or clueless owners. People having these issues are primarily the clueless crowd that tries to get 10K-12K-15K+ miles on one oil change. With a TDGI car? These people are nuts. The other problem is they use 0W20 oil, while other markets Honda recommends the use of 0W30 or 5W30. The use of 0W20 oil in the states is for CAFE fuel economy reasons, not for optimal engine protection. If you have a Honda 1.5 Turbo earth dreams engine, switch to 0W30 (in really cold climates) or 5W30, and change your oil every 3K-5K max, you’ll have no oil dilution issues. Also helps if you don’t take off as soon as you start the car, give it 30sec to a minute to warm up first.
