if I cheap out on a budget motherboard will I be kicking my own ass 4-5 years from now when it's time to upgrade my GPU and my mobo lacks PCIE 5.0? How important is PCIE 5 to the future RTX 5080/5090?
I built a PC with the A620i AX by Gigabyte. It's nothing fancy. I've had to troubleshoot some problems, but otherwise it works fine. I mostly use it for gaming, media, & regular internet scrolling. I don't have any RGB & only use the stock fans in my NZXT H1 v2 case, so I don't know much about the functionality of that stuff, just that my cooler & fans work fine.
I am from Brazil and here motherbords am5 are too expensive, I just bought a 4070 super and want to combine with a ryzen 5 7600x or 7600, in our market we have a gigabyte A620 M-ATX for 1099 of brazilian money or biostar B650 MP-E-PRO for 899 the diference is kind of 80 dollars, which want do you prefer? Or you think its better to upgrade the combo with an ASUS TUF gamong b650 - 1500 reais?
What's the best budget option for a 7500F while having a good amount of features and good temps for a black pc build? (Pricing here sucks, for example the 7800 XT is 550$ MINIMUM)
brother should i buy ryzen 5 7500f with asus prime a620m-e is this motherboard gives full performance to 5 7500f without any issue sorry my english is not that good
Great video, thanks! Please make another one about b650e. I’m going crazy choosing the board for 7700 for now but one that will serve for 3-4 years with possible need for PCI.E 5. Thinking about the asrock b650e riptide for now
Great video ! Useful with clear explanations. I own the asus A620M-PLUS TUF GAMING WIFI. I was hesitating with the Asrock A620M PRO WIFI. What i can tell, is that the VRM's seems different fron the very bad ones on Asus entry leves B650 (PRIME models most of all). Different for sure with part numbers, verified. It could potentially have pci-e 5.0 activated for the main NVME, that's rumored., i will test once pci-e 5.0 nvme's will be cheaper and useful for DirectStorage tech or equivalent. I have a 7800x3d running on it, and it's seems fine. 2x24 Gb ddr5 with micron or Spectek memory dimms. (Don't buy those dimms as the primary timing is a bait. the other ones are weak......really) The board boost fast and fine with them and you can tweak them. I also can activate "light"-overclocking features, such as PBO Advanced, frequency per core, tdp, ppt,etc....only missing curve optimizer or i didn't find it in bios. but still, you can set max cpu temperature target lower, and it does pretty much the same. If you up the speed while lowering the desired "temperature" or power target, that means curve optimizing to me. As the feature for 5800x3d boards, the Kombo Strike feature. Wi-fi is not as equivalent as other Wi-Fi 6.0, i'm missing 20 meagabytes of download speed 55 vs 75 MB. same network. I hesitated with b650 boards, but i needed Wi-Fi. Pay attention to the fact that the A620M TUF is different from the A620 PRO, with potentially stronger VRM's. But 200€ or dollars for this. buy a B650 instead. To me, if you plan to install from a 7500F, to an 7800x3d, A620 could be sufficient if well priced. Could be very good with future APU from AMD, efficient and not pricy system. I don't kind of regret this as i have a cheap AM5 platform, just for pure gaming. my only regrets being the price of the 7800x3d. I don't understand how manufacturers don't understand that a good ajusted price would mean more buys..........so overall more money for them at the end. fast cpu, 48 Gb of fast-ish RAM for 150€, not so bad motherboard for 150€.........not disappointed, but could be better. And you can overclock the 7800x3d but with specific BCLK overclocking boards, and a true curve optimizer, of course...... For those who would want that combo, i would not understand why, lol, the 7800x3d is a HOT chip, and you need a good air cooler, with active cooling. Low power consumption but the heat is.........wow, even tweaked to lower targets in power/temps......
hi, i got the gigabyte a620m gaming x ax, i wanted to know if it was enough for the r5 7600 and 32gig 6000mhz? how long do u think i could keep this motherboard?
idk but to me 280 is ceap for a motherboard so i just wish they put more ram slots even if price goes up. I dont want to have to buy a WS to get 8 slots and all the pcie slots i want.
DDR5 runs horrible if all 4 slots are used. The best practice is 1 dimm per channel. You need to go Xeon or Threadripper for a lot of ram with decent speed. Check out my W790 video.
@@ArtyomExplainsEng im using ddr4 now all slots and seems to run fine for me didnt notice any speed change feom 2 sticks to 4 sticks in responsiveness. Perhaps because indont use low mhrz ram like most consumers
Dude, you have onlu Gigabytes. Whats about MSI X670E Carbon? Probably is the among the best. What can you say about BIOS boot time (POST time) - is it very slow (20-30-40+ sec) or just 10 sec as B450/B550 mboards have?
What motherboard do you recommend for up to 350 euros? I would like to buy an AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3d processor and an RX 7800 XT graphics card. The motherboard must be equipped with WIFI
Unfortunately in your build ram is the problem. 8 gig ddr5 sticks are 5-10% slower than 16+ sticks. And they overclock not as high. Any a620 can handle 7500f, but if you have not bought the ram yet please reconsider, a 2x16 6000 cl30 is the best for Ryzen.
Can but it's always in x670e. Don't forget how much nicer it is to have many full speed m.2 slots. 2tb m.2 nvme 80$ 5500mbps each. 1 8tb nvme 1000$ 5500mbps toatal. I thought no way would I ever need more than 2tb of storage but quickly find out photos are not 1080p anymore and 4k is not 4x the size but 16x the size. Games are not 20-65gb anymore but 300-400gb.
@@jforce06 I have x670e pro on hands, review coming soon. It is decent, tho probably going to be stupid expensive like 450+ usd. So not exactly a budget friendly option.
Just buy the x670e at this time. AMD uses the socket longer. Meaning gen 5 was uses when it launched but gen 6 will probably be out before you need to upgrade. Also 4 2gb nvme is much cheaper than a 8gn nvme when you only have 1 nvme slot.
Video sounds best at 1.25 speed.
Feel free to ask any motherboards related questions.

AMD loves its shareholders more than its customers nowadays. Where are the times of my ASRock B450 HDV Rel 4.0 motherboard for $59.99 from Newegg?

Great breakdown. Subbed.
For MSI X670E. carbon wifi the battery is hidden somewhere.
If it not clearly visible, then it is under the vrm heatsink.

B650e riptide is great, affordable b650e. It has some downsides, but they are not that bad.
Check out hardware unboxed, he did a review of 35 b650e motherboards about 4 months ago.
Does chipset matters on itx boards? Couldn't they just connect every pcie lanes directly to the cpu
It matters a lot less on an itx.
Is there curve optimizer in bios of a620 motherboards?
All PBO features are present, but being ignored.
