Hi there, should I change my i9 14900K to an another, "smaller" CPU? or is there any way I can avoid heat problems?

I bought the asrock a620 with 2x16gb patriot 6000mhz and a r5 8600g, but im having problems to use the expo profile, when i set it to 6000mhz it wont even boot and when i set it to 5600mhz it does boot but when i check the frecuencys of the ram theill still be at 4800mhz, its there something i can do to fix this or i just need amother kits of rams or another motherboard?

It's strange how free of thinking some users are. It's obvious that the RX 6500XT is on par with the RTX 3050 6GB in many games. Basically, the 6500XT is the stronger / technically further card, because it achieves such a good result with modest technical specifications. Yes, the card is quite a faulty design for 200 euros - but the performance shown here is great for it. You should stay objective with regard to the 6500XT.

İ bought the asrock version with the 7600 CPU and 7900xt gpu. Hope it will be all fine

Wow, that thing about the PCI lanes was an eye-opener for me... with the box of this same motherboard right behind me at the moment :( OK... 3 SSDs to get in that motherboard, should I return this Gigabyte and try an Asus Prime P or TUF Gaming board? They *seem* to share M2 lanes with SATA connectivity, only one M2 port sharing with PCIx16 4.0 as far as I understand. I feel cheated... Thank you A LOT for your clarifying video. In 2024, to need a blueprint of the motherboard in order to realize how to install simple M2 storage feels like these brands want to avenge something or whatever.

Taking into account the prices I can get, do you advise me for that configuration? MSI MPG Z790 Edge TI MAX WiFi (253 €) or Gigabyte Z790 AORUS Elite X WIFI7 Motherboard (252 €) or MSI Z790 GAMING PLUS WIFI (200 €), which one would you recommend? I bought and experimented with one of these quite a few months ago... your video pretty much sums up exactly what I found. Tested it in a MSI MEG Z690i Unify (one of the best DDR5 boards, as far as memory clocks). Pretty much hit a hard wall at 6000MT C34; possibly could squeeze it to 6200MT if I wanted to loosen the timings and fiddle with it a lot longer. In contrast, 12900KS and 13900K can do 7200MT C34 with the same memory modules/motherboard (ie. the limit of this 6000MT C40 kit). As far as "all-core" clocks... it can more or less do what a standard 12900K can do - it was happy enough to do 5.2 boost (ie. 1-2 cores), and 4.8-4.9g all-core frequency for the p-cores, and about 3.7g all-core frequency for the e-cores. E-cores really didn't like going above 3.7g. Oh, but if you try this with the factory IHS and PTM7950 material, it definitely throttles. I then de-lidded it and installed the customised contact frame (sold separately)... using a Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet (graphene sheet), CPU ran quite a bit cooler - enough that it can maintain the 4.8-4.9g p-core and 3.7g e-core boost clocks during CB R23 for 10 minutes without throttling. This was all done with a 240mm AIO. All in all, they're not bad CPUs for the money - but people need to temper their expectations on the achievable memory speeds and overclocks. You can basically view them as a "stock" 12900K in terms of OC potential, with a worse-than-average IMC.

Thank you for the review. Great video, to bad I didn't saw it earlier... I have the B650 eagle ax since Oct 15 2024... All was well. Until the day (Oct. 26) I connected the External HDD's... When I boot the computer, it takes up to 4 minutes before the welcome screen opens. This problem is a pain in the a.. The computer first read the USB ports (with the ext. hdd's) and in total that's 15TB to read. And after searching for solutions, and tried them without luck (I even asked the Gigabyte support, but they didn't answered my cry of help) I'm out of options.... I've disconnected the USB hub cable with the HDD's and the boot takes 30/40 seconds. I went into the BIOS, tried some offered solutions, but unfortunately the problem stays.

Got my 13850HX ES, but what I ordered and expected, first time Aliexpress customer, was a 13950HX. Chose the direct die with custom frame and Kapton tape. Having the recommended Asus Z690-I but occupied by a 13900K, I chose the Asrock Phantom Gaming Z690 ITX/TB4. Worked out of the box with 32GB, XMP enabled 6000MHz RAM. Funny thing, XMP no longer worked for the BIOS update with the latest microcode. Another weird one, during the video driver installation, one of my Displayport connected monitors began to cycle red, green, blue, black, and white! It persisted even at the turn on of the computer. How could a driver affect anything before the OS?! Swapping cables fixed it; although, some even advertised and shorter higher quality cables did not work. HDMI was unaffected. Anyway, I'd like the get XMP working on the latest BIOS update and microcode, OCD. Anyway, I plan to use it as the processor for a very small all NVME NAS using bifurcation to add 10GB ethernet and a total of six additional NVME drives in a 5L Midori case on the way as of this posting. I have new and sealed i9 Extreme Dragon Canyon that this will hopefully be replacing. Anyway, limited to 55W PL1 and PL2, it still curb stomps my 11900KF in R23 at such low clock speeds. Planning to set the BIOS profiles for NAS and standard desktop and maybe another or two scenarios, this could be my ultimate SFF computational toolkit with say a just received XProto Mini and another cooling soulution. Coming from EVGA Dark/Kingpin and Asus Gaming motherboards in Z590 and Z690 chipset genres, the intricacies of the ASrock motherboard present somewhat of a learning curve and frustration (just started my pc overclocking and tuning experience). Just at 9:31, I plan to gain insight. Out of the box with an air cooler after a seat of the pants trial, I attained greater than 26000 on R23. Having changed back to a previous BIOS, I have got to try it all over. I will have learned to at least download or note the previous BIOS version and set profiles, as I am making an educated guess into the previous BIOS version which worked extremely well. Thanks in advance for the info and testing. Now, onto the rest of the video.

Hello, i boight this cpu and paired it with a z790 asus strix a gaming wifi motherboard. Problem, I cant unlock the 55w TDP. Already changed Long duration package power limit to 125w in bios, but IT DIDNT WORK... please HELP 😢😢😢

This is the first time I've heard that you get better OC results by using only 2 sticks of RAM, and now I'm glad I got 2x 24GB DDR5; that should work well in my new build with this board.
