I have to thank you the fact that you DO take the time to explain even the simplest and basic concepts so even debutants can understand you. It is a HUGE added value to your videos, something missing in other TH-camrs that are maybe for more experienced audience with the same high quality content but hard for some of us to follow. Please keep it like that, cheers!
Don’t plan on doing my first ever build until around January. Have been watching everything for almost a year. Hoping by then things cool down and maybe AMD will have their GPUs out by then too. Your videos are the best explaining at bang for buck hardware.

I ordered the Gigabyte X670 Aorus Elite AX with the 7600X 😃 Edit: Speccing out my first build since 2016. The current rig is an FX6300 CPU with an r9 270X GPU... Well over due for an upgrade me thinks.
Yo watched this like 5 times and am a bit torn What's ur opinion on Asus Pro Art X670e vs the Asus Strix Gaming x670e-e? I'm building a new workhorse pc that is literally all purpose from 4k editing to high end VR gameplay and recording, streaming etc. I'm really torn between the 2. I don't need the 10gb lan but the usb 4 seems nice to have, the 16+2 power phase concerns me but I only plan on using the automatic overclocking features of the 7950x would this be enough? Full build should be 4090, 1300w psu, 32gb 6000 ddr5 and a 7950x. Only reason I passed on the asrock x670e tachi was the lack of the lower pcie lane but if you feel that would be a better option i'm still considering it! Any guidance would be appreciated!
Awesome video PC Builder! I bought yesterday the ASRock X670E Steel Legend with ryzen 9 7950x and the sweet spot ddr5 g.skill tridentZ5 neo RGB 6000mh 16gb x2 cl30! Glad to see this motherboard in your recommended section. I was a bit worried about audio but I will see later how it sounds. The only thing I don't like in this motherboard is the second pcie x16 slot with only 4x connected. Kinda dissapointed in that but overall this motherboard looks fantastic!
Bonus content from Jason. That always makes a day better. I currently am very happy with my 5600x paired with a 6700xt so I doubt I will upgrade to a 7000 anytime soon. I would probably go with a 670 if I did upgrade
@Shorts Kittu Cats All the Jason in one thread! lol You can edit 4k on a 6700xt, it'll just take a long time compared with its' nVidia counterparts. AMD GPUs are a solid choice for gaming, but for productivity and multitasking, nVidia still has a significant advantage, apples to apples. Given nVidia's recent behavior, I don't blame anyone wanting to avoid them, but time is money after all.
Price vs benefit..you have a 5900x variant cheaper than 5800x3d anytime time you want, which is also a gaming perspective ugrade...so, a value only for 350 to 450$ more vs 1000+$ cpu,mb,ram of 7000 series to last more than 3 years..Even for a new built...
First time watching your videos I’ve primarily watched GN as I only like actual nerds with real informative information and statistics rather than “for the views” kinda people. Liked and subbed! I’ll be following along as I plan my upgrade from x570 gen 3/3080
I'm really glad I watched this video, seems like I was about to over spend like $200 more because there were a few things I didn't understand and I was ignorant. But yes I agree with you, after the $335~ price point, the cost of these boards soar way high and there are significant diminishing returns for the money spent. Great job on the video! I'm grateful for the explanation.
@@PCBuilderChannel btw quick question, for boards that don't have SPDF port, do I have to buy an S/PDIF mini board separately and use motherboard's built in S/PDIF connector or is there a work around??
It's ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS especially with these x670e motherboards where the price is around $500 just for the motherboard and then $300 for the cheapest cpu. You can almost build a pretty decent PC ( as long as you're willing to buy a used gpu) for the same cost as the mobo and cpu. IT'S FU@KING RIDICULOUS
You're the goat man. One thing I'll say about motherboards, I'll overspend as much as it takes for a dr debug lol. It's crazy that the motherboard manufacturers make you pay $300+ for a couple of seven segment displays
Honestly none of the gen5 nvme I've seen specs for even max out gen4 bandwidth. We saw the same thing with the first gen4 nvme not being able to saturate gen3 bandwidth. There's probably a measurable difference if you set up ur benchmark just right, but nothing anyone would ever be able to tell. Congrats on getting this video out so early. Ur a machine lol
I have just purchased the ASROCK 670XE PRO RS for my Ryzen 7900x be at home with. Never spent a great deal on a motherboard in the past so this was quite expensive for my liking (£350 gbp). The audio codec isn't really a issue for me as if i want to improve that you can by other means. But all the other stuff is very nice and it does look great.
HECK YES!! finally showing the steel legend series some love lol.... i still absolutely love my b550matx steel legend mobo.. the finish is just super clean and gives me everything i need. and has no issues running the 5800x
Picked up a 7700x with the free 32 gig ram promo from microcenter but waiting on boards. Getting a cheaper board with no PCIe5 or only 1 just does not seem to make much sense unless you plan on ripping out the board to replace it in the future. Features wise, as a content creator, I REALLY like the idea of the Asus Pro Art.... dual PCI-e 5 if I want to run dual gpus, more importantly for some fast NVMEs to work off of locally and transfers.... (each video I do is easily 100 to 200 gigs). And of course the idea of thunderbolt sounds great for color grading monitors and transferring files to either a DAS... OR 10 gig ethernet if transfering to a NAS... oh.... and it does not look like the neon/RGB fairy spit up all over it. lol. Yes, it's $500... but seems more like a "buy once, cry once" proposition for at least the next 5 years or so. with the cheaper boards... its like might as well have stayed on Ryzen 5000 and X570. =) And I am guessing the new Radeon cards coming out in November will be PCI-e 5.0.
Thank you for another great video! 😸 Waiting to see the b series lineup too! (Still looking at the 5000 series for my first build, but damn! Can't help but being excited about the new shiny tech! 😸)
I'd like to post some clarification surrounding USB4, USB-C and Thunderbolt, which is important for those creators depending on Thunderbolt devices. USB-C by itself is just a connector; it doesn't specify anything about what it should be capable of (well mostly). The comparison is actually between USB4 and USB3 (and all of its substandards, like 3.1, 3.2 gen1, 3.2 gen2, 3.2 gen2x2, 10gbps, 20gbps, 40gbps, DP, PD, etc.). One thing to mention is that the extra connectivity, like higher power delivery and displayport, are constrained to be possible only through USB-C. The dangerous thing is that USB4 is not Thunderbolt 4, despite them using the same connector type. While a Thunderbolt 4 port is backwards compatible as a USB4 port, it is not the same the other way around. Thunderbolt 4 by itself uses an entirely different protocol, but when you plug in an USB device, it basically functions as a USB4 port but with all substandards/connectivity included. A Thunderbolt port will need to have that lightning bolt symbol next to the port to indicate it being a Thunderbolt-capable port. At the moment of writing, only the ASRock X670E Taichi offers USB4+TB4 connectivity, and the Gigabyte Aero D that is not released yet (which will have USB4+TB3). The other X670(E) boards that have USB4 (which right now are from ASUS) do NOT support the Thunderbolt protocol. Most remaining ASUS, Gigabyte and ASRock boards have a thunderbolt pin-header, for which you must buy a brand specific add-in card (AiC) that will slot into a PCIe slot (which will probably need x8 PCIe4.0 lanes?) used to add USB4+TB4 connectivity. None of these AiCs have been released yet. However, that ASUS ProArt Creator motherboard recommended for creators in the video does not have a TB4 header, and will therefore never support Thunderbolt. So if you need Thunderbolt support (to connect devices using a Thunderbolt controller), get the ASRock X670E Taichi, wait for the Gigabyte Aero D, or get a motherboard that will have a USB4+TB4 AiC.
Problem is that all the X670 and X670E boards are about the same price. A B650 board might be more valued though for most people. I opted for the X670-E because this is a new platform and I want to make sure it is future proofed for a little while.
Imagine all those prices, but 55% higher, that's what we have to pay in Canada. Absolutely unbelievable motherboard prices! At least processors only have the regular ~30% exchange rate price increase.
@@PCBuilderChannel Canada: ... 55% higher than these, absolutely unbelievable ... EU: Only 55% higher? Hold my beer, my wallet, my left kidney... and that's only for the first installment for buying a budget AM5 mobo as for now... These 0-day launch prices... I'm sure I'm not the only one that stands in awe of this all Glad I went AMD all the way 2021, now I feel settled for couple of years. Let's hope AM5 will age like the AM4 did.
@todotecnoarg Personally I have not had any issues whatsoever. I'm not sure what reviews have been left by other people, but I can confirm that it is a beast of a motherboard. I haven't touched much except fan speeds and EXPO profiles being that it supports DDR5 Ram. If I were to upgrade any component such as Mthrbrd, CPU, or GPU it would be the Mthrbrd last. There are Gen 5 PCIE slots included that future proof the need for a Mthrbrd when GPU (or other hardware) is eventually made for PCIE 5. Almost forgot, but the built in graphics ALMOST gives no need to a GPU it seems, and the audio/wifi/bluetooth drivers explain themselves in their quality. Am running a RX 7800 XT and R9 7900 X. Solidworks (CAD program) and any AAA game at highest settings are absolutely no problem.
It's great. I like so many TH-cam tech people in this space. I like LTT, GN, Paul, PC Builder, Gamers Meld, etc, all for different reasons. You all do a different style video, deliver different levels of entertainment, and some deliver information more quickly than others. Some are more detailed, some are more summarized. But I like it all. So cheers. Even though I've already seen two other AM5 motherboard videos, I'm still watching you.
I'm waiting for 650 boards to release to see if the 670 chipsets come down a bit. Historically that happens, but I'm not super hopeful this time around.
THANK YOU! You have the best videos and they have made me so confident in building my PC. I've learned so much from you and I just subscribed to your channel yesterday. Been studying PC build for about a month and soon I will build my own hopefully in a couple of months or less. I am buying parts with pride and knowledge thanks to you! Keep up the great work and blessing to our community!
I only just watched this having made my purchase 2 weeks ago (ASUS TUF Gaming plus WiFi) and pleased that you liked it. I went for this because I needed a decent motherboard to go with the 7900 that so impressed me at low power. If you're spending this much, I reckon the lower midrange is best and I don't mind paying an extra 10% for a fuller set of capability (even if I don't need it now), a nice look + I like ASUS boards. Glad you covered it and keep up the good stuff.
@@x8jason8x Agree! If the pilot product for v-cache, 5800x3d, is anything to form a baseline from it runs crazy hot. When I overclocked my not great bin of a 5800x to 4.7 ghz all core, liquid metal was needed to pull as much heat from the CPU as possible. Its really alarming that zen 4 was designed to run at 95 degrees C.
Thanks really informative video just want to know, can I buy any of the cheap motherboards from start of the video for 7950x? there wont be any power issue right?
Idk if this is just me but I prefer how teh 400 series boards looked, Z490 B450 X470-X570 looked great to me. Teh new ones are trying to look too sleek and futuristic.
The Ryzen 9 7950X3D cache is rumoured to not be release until CES 2023 (Jan 5th-8th 2023). Having seen the HUGE boost in performance that the 3D cache gave to the 5800X3D, to the point where that last generation chip holds its own against the just released 7950X and the not yet released intel 13th gen flag ship, there is no way I would get a CPU before the 3D cache version, so I am praying the Ryzen 9 7950X3D is released sooner, just after intel 13th gen, so they crush it, and I don't have to wait even more months before building a brand new from scratch rig. Fingers crossed AMD have the sense to release the Ryzen 9 7950X3D straight after intel 13th gen so that AMD can corner the market before the Christmas purchasing rush!
Amd is shooting on own legs..looking at the 5800x3d price difference, not justified even for gaming, the cost of any 7000x3d will be monstruos loosing all 5000 series benefits in value..and waiting for stupid buyers..
You are such a fontain of knowledge, that I can understand. Can I ask you, if you conecting your audio, such as headphone, microphone, by USB does the system uses the audio codec 1220 or or the 4080, in these motherboards? Or we have to connect to the rear pannel with the input jack?Does it matter?
Honestly gr8 work u r doing. U made the explanation so much easy, I was getting more n more focussed in what u were saying. Keep it up. Btw, want to get ur opinion on a PC build that I wana do. I was originally planning to do a DDR4 build with 5900x for main use of running VMs, which would make it more affordable. But since Ryzen 7000 launched, which shows a lot of performace uplift, like crossing 5+ GHz, I literally got excited. But then I learned the bitter truth, that is, Expensive CPU + Expensive MOBO + Expensive RAM + Expensive SSD PCIe5. And since AMD mentioned only for it to be there till like late 2025, should I go with Ryzen 7000 or going with 5900x/64GB RAM DDR4/1TB SSD Gen 3, will have me covered for like next 10 years for mostly running VMs?
That's a great question. I think that 5900X build will be an absolutely beast. But you might want to wait a bit and see how the Ryzen 7000 performance numbers change when the next gen gpus become available next month. For more on that see the 7900X build we did on the channel. The launch of the new Intel CPUs and Black Friday will also likely affect Ryzen 5000 and Ryzen 7000 pricing so it might not hurt to give it a few weeks and see what happens.
Hey! Great video, but Im asking if u could do some type of video when the B series launches with some kinda of build with the new 7600x... it would be cool cuz im trying to build my first pc and idk if I should wait for this new series of cpu/mb/ram... so yeah thanks anyways for the great video ;D
Hey jason your videos are great thanks for putting in the work for us. I have an MSI b450 gaming plus atx mobo. Can you tell me if it has bios flashback or how I can find out. Thanks in advance.
What motherboard would you recommend for a ryzen 7 7700x with a 3080 and I would like to be able to upgrade these in the future so what mother board would be slightly over kill but after some upgrades would be perfect.
Thank you! We do have more up to date Ryzen Motherboard guides on the channel you can check out too. In particular see our Best Ryzen Motherboard 2024 video

Hey, when are you going to revisit this clip? Willing to build for AM5, and your video was really helpful. Was wondering if the Asus ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI or Asus TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI are still the ways to go and if you still recommend those. Thanks!
Currently we only have 6 x AM5 mother boards available and all of them seem higher priced than the US 😵💫 MSI Pro X670-P Wifi - $375 ROG Strix X670E A Gaming - $468 ROG Strix X670E F Gaming - $495 Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master - $649 Asus ROG Hero X670E - $765 Asus ROG Crosshair X670E - $990 Guess we waiting for B650 🙈
Great video, thank you, but I'd like to hear/learn more about "audio codecs" on motherboard... How to know which ones are high quality and which ones are not, and what exactly is the purpose of "audio codec", what's that thing exactly, how can you use it, is it for headphones, speakers or what, etc... :)
On x670 it is pretty binary because there are no boards with "middle step" codecs like the ALC1100, ALC1200, etc. They are either entry level ones ALC897, or they immediately jump up to the best available (ALC1220 & ALC4080). I do expect we'll see some more of the middle step ones in B650 as board makers look to trim costs down a bit more. When we do the best motherboard for Ryzen 7000, we will do an audio section and go into codecs a little more in detail - just waiting for B650 to launch.
Hello, you videos are always very helpful and i appreciate them. Is it possible if you can make a video explaining power stages and what motherboards to avoid when it comes to this and in general when it comes to certain features being lacking or features that increases the price but are not for everyone?
@1:19 @PC Builder Now when we have 870/870E and they are the same like 670/670E (only ubs4 support is different between) what You think for future CPUs suppoet of 670/670E? They will fully suport the zen 6 or?
What would you recommend between AS Rock X670E Steel legend and ASUS Strix B650E-E. With current Newegg offers they’re both in the same range. I’m a novice overclocker and I would like to keep the board I get for the next 5 or so years. Mostly for gaming and side tasks. I also heard the Asus boards might have memory issues with EXPO?
If you are into overclock, buy X670E steel legend because it has better VRAM. B650 is for mainstream, it can only overclock 7600X and 7700x, I won't recommend you to overclock using 7800x and above using this board
I wanted to upgrade my 2700x system to a 7700x/7800x system..but now I'm hesitant. at the moment the entrylevel x670/x670e on amazon are going for $650+....wtf? so ddr5+7700x+M
@@PCBuilderChannel I've decided to go with a 5700x. I've updated the bios of my mobo and the 5700x works in my old mobo... it costs me $250 and I dont have to buy new cooler, ram, mobo etc.So the 10%-15% performance aren't worth ~$1000+ extra, I will rather spend this money on the new GPUs.
Only reason I can think of for pcie gen 5 is having a few VMs running on the same drive?? But haven’t seem this benchmarked so it would be a shot in the dark.
@@PCBuilderChannel Thank youuu!! I have a query, I'm Kind of ready to build a new machine with Ryzen 7000 series and a RTX 4000 series, but I was wondering, what's your recomendation about it. When could it be a good time to buy these items?? Greetings from South America!!
To celebrate getting a permanent job, I just ordered an upgrade kit with the asrock x670e with a 7700x and 32gb corsair ram, really looking forward to it! Do I still need to use Realtek for my audio driver though? Or has that finally changed with the codec on this board? RealTek can be such a pain to get to work and is updated very infrequently. I can't even download the app from the microsoft store lol. EDIT: after watching the full video I changed my order to buy all parts separately and go with the asrock x670e steel legend. That sounds way better for just a few euro's more. Very sad that overall everything is more expensive in the EU. The 7700x costs 470 eu and the mobo is 380 eu... That's an insane difference. The lighting variant is 330eu so might as well get a better board.
Probably a little too in-depth for what we do, but here is a great article to get you started: www.hardwaretimes.com/how-does-a-vrm-work-phases-doublers-inductors-and-capacitors/#:~:text=They%20function%20by%20distributing%20the,portion%20of%20the%20required%20amount.
Its really scary shopping for all these boards. The reviews are pretty terrible across the board. Even for the $500 versions which are still somehow not dropping in price months later.
Hey there! I really enjoy watching your videos and I really overthink everything! I really want to build my 2nd rig (I sold mine a few months ago, it was created on 2017). I love playing games in 4k. I really care about how it looks and stuff like that. I really needed help to see what build should I make right now, it doesn't matter the cost, but I only want to play amazing AAA videogames and never miss a detail with amazing fps. What would you recommend me? (Yes, I have checked all of your videos but I am still figuring out what I really need). Thanks a lot and would appreciate your answer!
Honestly, right now I'd go Ryzen 5800X3D if building a high budget AAA title gaming build and reserve most of my money for an RTX 4090 or RX 7900 XT (when it launches). See our Ryzen 5800X3D best build video on the main channel page under the "Builds and Parts Lists" playlist.
@@PCBuilderChannel Hey! you know I watched your video and buyed my rig based on ur recommendations with 5800x3D! now when it arrives I wonder how should I place the 240mm AIO cooler and the fans (with Corsair Airflow 4000x), I mean, which ones should do the exhaust and which ones the intake! thank you!
Hey could you help me pick some equipment for a gaming pc build. I was thinking of a price around 2200$ for the pc and a monitor. I would choose to go for an Intel core i9 11700k with a gtx 3070 or 2080ti. Additionally I would choose 1 or 2 tb ssd with a liquid cooler (not custom made) but I dont know what mainboard to get etc.
Have you tried installing Win 10 onto a gigabyte board? It seems to lack the driver necessary for the NVME M.2 drive and their website doesn’t have a driver for it either.
My god this video was exactly what i was searching for, greatly structured, exactly what i was asking myself with all questions covered. Thank you so much for the great content! Looking out for your video on the B650 Series :)
Thank you sooo much for this. I was looking at MB's last night to price and what features to look for. I have always gone with Asus. I work on my PC and occasionally game on it. I was looking at the Asus x670E.... Would going for more features like PCIE5 future proof and yes I know that doesn't really work buuut I did it with my old machine and I am still working with it to this day but now after +6-10 years it's showing it's age. Would love your insight. Thanks!
So glad this was helpful! I found the current Asus options pretty overpriced (we do go through them in the recommendation section) but they are beautiful boards.
@@PCBuilderChannel Yup Asus has always been overpriced but I have loved their build quality. I wonder if and when the prices are going down. I might have to wait until next year.
pcie gen 5 graphics cards would be a game changer. Even if it wouldn't saturate a gen 4 16x lanes bc i would then have no qualms about running it at gen 5 8x lanes. This would then save me 8 lanes which i could use for a whole lot of different things

First time watching your videos I’ve primarily watched GN as I only like actual nerds with real informative information and statistics rather than “for the views” kinda people. Liked and subbed! I’ll be following along as I plan my upgrade from x570 gen 3/3080
Building a new Pc after 10 years. This was a great catch-up video on all the latest tech
So glad it was helpful!!
Really glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching
@@PCBuilderChannel btw quick question, for boards that don't have SPDF port, do I have to buy an S/PDIF mini board separately and use motherboard's built in S/PDIF connector or is there a work around??
Great video. Thank you! I do hope the cost of ddr5 falls further. The entry cost outlay required to use the new AMD cpus is a little high.
Agreed! Ryzen 7000 value is going to be all about the platform costs. And thank you!
Haha thanks Christopher! Not going to lie our two cat two person team is exhausted lol
My journey with stationary PC after 30 years is coming to an end... Madness of price, pace of upgrade and performance per watt...
See the video we just launched on the channel (15 mins ago) it's actually a great time for budget building if you know where to look!
Glad you got what you need! Let us know how you like it
This video will help me a lot. Right now I have gtx1080 with intel i5 6600k. The cpu is driving me crazy with it's bottlenecks.
Thank you a lot. 👍
So glad its helpful!
HECK YES!! finally showing the steel legend series some love lol.... i still absolutely love my b550matx steel legend mobo.. the finish is just super clean and gives me everything i need. and has no issues running the 5800x
Nice! Glad you got what you needed
Looking forward to receive my Taichi X670E. This board is a beast of motherboard, and with decent price compared to other brands.
Let us know how you like it if you can!
Thank you for another great video! 😸
Waiting to see the b series lineup too!
(Still looking at the 5000 series for my first build, but damn! Can't help but being excited about the new shiny tech! 😸)
Thanks Valentina! Gotta love shiny new tech (;
Jason hits us midweek !? What a great surprise🤩
It's a crazy week! (;
Not going to lie our two cat two person team is exhausted, but happy to get this content out for those who need it!
Is there a well supported tool for detecting what speeds are supported by a usb-c cable and/or port? Seems useful for the future.
Imagine all those prices, but 55% higher, that's what we have to pay in Canada. Absolutely unbelievable motherboard prices! At least processors only have the regular ~30% exchange rate price increase.
Ugh that's frustrating!
@@PCBuilderChannel
Canada: ... 55% higher than these, absolutely unbelievable ...
EU: Only 55% higher? Hold my beer, my wallet, my left kidney... and that's only for the first installment for buying a budget AM5 mobo as for now...
These 0-day launch prices... I'm sure I'm not the only one that stands in awe of this all
Glad I went AMD all the way 2021, now I feel settled for couple of years. Let's hope AM5 will age like the AM4 did.
came here for the first time and to see the MSI PRO X670P, and am happy I did!
Welcome to the channel! Glad it worked out :)
@todotecnoarg Just realized that the "E", and not the "P", is the next-gen PCIe tuned board. So don't mind that part.
Ambrosius had beautiful green eyes today.
Also, you're right, we should wait for B650.
He's a handsome house panther and he knows it! (;
Yes really looking forward to what they bring to the table
Thank you for watching! :)
LTT ? Really? Or did you just feel like you had to include them?
@@hautedaug I listed channels that I watch. I'm not sure why you felt the need to single out LTT.
Graphically Challenged is pretty good too.
Hello! I'm from Brazil and I love your analyses!
Thank you very much and please keep up the amazing work!!
Hello Brazil! Thank you for watching (:
I'm waiting for 650 boards to release to see if the 670 chipsets come down a bit. Historically that happens, but I'm not super hopeful this time around.
Fingers crossed for sure!
Good work as always Jason!
Thank you so much for the amazing feedback! Thank you for the sub and best wishes on your build!
Glad you got what you needed! Thanks for sharing (:
Now this is what I was waiting for.
Fantastic workstation platform! Can't wait for the zen4 x3d reviews for us gamers.
Don't expect a Zen4 vcache myself for at least a year. The heat these things are throwing isn't promising in that regard.
Rumor is that they will be announced at CES in January. We will be attending in person for the first time so I'm hyped!
@@PCBuilderChannel Oh really? Might be going to Vegas myself around then, the better half has never been as an adult, so she's overdue. lol

I really do appreciate and love your informative videos!
So glad its helpful! Thanks for watching! And we do have a much more recent Best Ryzen Motherboard 2024 video for you if you want to check that out
which is the best board for 7800x3d also do u have a budget build for 7800x3d and 7900xtx.
Those components are not budget build parts.
Your cat knows where it's at dude. When you covered him with the video recommendation he causally moved so he would still be in the shot.
A true professional (;
Running a 5800x rn. I might go for a 7950X with the Asus Tuf board. Seems nice for the "price"
Ryzen 7 7800x3d will be releaded even if ryzen 9 7950X3d released it would be mininum 850$
As always, great details! Looking forward to your boost your build series on some upcoming Zen 4 builds for people.
Thank you! Me too! We will start those up again soon
Hey which cpus are better tha new intel ones or the 7000 amd series?
currently building my 7700 on an asrock steel legend, was sweating when you didnt mention it in the first round of asrock boards lmfao
Hey! Great video, but Im asking if u could do some type of video when the B series launches with some kinda of build with the new 7600x... it would be cool cuz im trying to build my first pc and idk if I should wait for this new series of cpu/mb/ram... so yeah thanks anyways for the great video ;D

What motherboard would you recommend for a ryzen 7 7700x with a 3080 and I would like to be able to upgrade these in the future so what mother board would be slightly over kill but after some upgrades would be perfect.
I am aiming for the ASUS Proart. Thanks for reaffirming my choices :D.

Asus ROG Hero X670E - $765
Asus ROG Crosshair X670E - $990
Guess we waiting for B650 🙈
what combo do you recommend . Ryzen mobo combo. im building my 1st pc
Keep on growing sir!
Thank you we are working on it! :)
amazing Jason as usual
So glad it was helpful!
oh... and the Asus Prime Pro Wifi for $350 seems like a really solid deal too.
Hello, you videos are always very helpful and i appreciate them. Is it possible if you can make a video explaining power stages and what motherboards to avoid when it comes to this and in general when it comes to certain features being lacking or features that increases the price but are not for everyone?
I always enjoy your content. Good work
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed!
@1:19 @PC Builder Now when we have 870/870E and they are the same like 670/670E (only ubs4 support is different between) what You think for future CPUs suppoet of 670/670E? They will fully suport the zen 6 or?
Hi Jason, like your videos. AT 8.34m you say B560, but I think you meant B650. Correct me if i am wrong. Keep up the good work!!
Doh! Yep reversed some numbers there. Thanks!
Any of these more expensive options would bring an advantage for people looking into building high end VR systems?
how are these x670e boards same price or cheaper than a regular x670? might as well just go for the 670e
again you are a voice of reason - thank you 😊
We try! (:
What would you recommend between AS Rock X670E Steel legend and ASUS Strix B650E-E. With current Newegg offers they’re both in the same range. I’m a novice overclocker and I would like to keep the board I get for the next 5 or so years. Mostly for gaming and side tasks. I also heard the Asus boards might have memory issues with EXPO?
If you are into overclock, buy X670E steel legend because it has better VRAM.
B650 is for mainstream, it can only overclock 7600X and 7700x, I won't recommend you to overclock using 7800x and above using this board
Thanks for not jumping on the hype train for PCIe Gen 5.0 support.
That hype train is a train to nowhere right now!
I wanted to upgrade my 2700x system to a 7700x/7800x system..but now I'm hesitant. at the moment the entrylevel x670/x670e on amazon are going for $650+....wtf? so ddr5+7700x+M
I'd wait and see what the B650 prices are like next week

The lighting variant is 330eu so might as well get a better board.
is the x670e/670 will support all the upcoming cpus on am5 ? like x370 supporting 5800x3d
can youu make a dedicated video on VRM?
what all to lookout and difference between doublers and all?
Probably a little too in-depth for what we do, but here is a great article to get you started: www.hardwaretimes.com/how-does-a-vrm-work-phases-doublers-inductors-and-capacitors/#:~:text=They%20function%20by%20distributing%20the,portion%20of%20the%20required%20amount.
Its really scary shopping for all these boards. The reviews are pretty terrible across the board. Even for the $500 versions which are still somehow not dropping in price months later.
The pricing is still crazy on these boards for sure
I ask because I tend to think that if I spend $3k it would run better, but I don't want to do content creation. I just want to play games

Hey could you help me pick some equipment for a gaming pc build.
I was thinking of a price around 2200$ for the pc and a monitor.

Have you tried installing Win 10 onto a gigabyte board? It seems to lack the driver necessary for the NVME M.2 drive and their website doesn’t have a driver for it either.
