    Lol $1300 which doesn't make it run faster.

    That was well explained and helped me understand the different boards. It would of helped if you expanded the size of the initial table so we could see it. It would also help to have text on screen to say what type of board you're explaining and it's key features. I'd also start with the price as that's the primary factory for most people.

    So expensive now... these things have gone up more than GPUs over the last decade. Good thing it's easy to find features like Thunderbolt 4 and WiFi included in these boards. Want those PCIe 5 GPU sllots (for the cards that won't exist for a year) or the PCIe 5 NVMes that barely make and real world difference? Got them! Ugh...

    Does this guys realize you cant use PCIe 5.0 yet anyway - and when you can - you proberly wanna change the motherboard anyway xD

    I got the Strix B650- A Gaming Wifi for my 4080/ 7700x combo and its all i need tbh.
    GPUs can barely handle PCiE 4.0, so 5.0 is a money waster for the next 2-3 GPU generations and there is noway i upgrade in the next 2 years (if i get a new system in 2-3 yrs i get all new parts anyway).
    On top this MoBo has 5.0 for a SSD which is basicly the only relevante part for it atm.
    If you are looking for a new MoBo then there are only 2 options basicly: hyper high end with super overclocking > x670E, the rest can basicly pick whatever is on sale or has the desired amount of features. The differences are more with the manifacturer than the different versions, since you find different amount of ports etc on the boards. Example: a good B650 is as good or better than a B650E (- the 5.0 money waster slot for GPUs ofc)

      How's the boot time? I've read that especially the ASUS boards take their time to boot.

      @@kulter20 pretty decent tbh, if something holds me back its fkn windows itself.
      But i dont have a direct comparison with other brands atm. Its not slow or anything, but maybe other brands are even faster ... could be.

    Maybe I dont listen well or all the technology confuses me. All i want is to build a high end rig but also save money where possible. How does this transfer to FPS? All i want is to game and nothing else. I know want a 4090 and i know i want either a Ryzen 9 7900x or 7950x3d. I dont care for overclocking (is it even important, why do people even do it?) Should i get a B650e or x670e?

    What would you recommend as an upgrade from a Crosshair VIII dark hero to an AM5 platform motherboard?

    • @zenon3021
      @zenon3021 ปีที่แล้ว

      you're aware that upgrading from AM4 to AM5 will give you roughly 0% improvement in FPS right? While 7800X3D is 20% faster than 5800X3D, the speed of the CPU doesn't matter since you're GPU-bound (at 1440p and 4k resolution)

  • @wayneosman8971
    @wayneosman8971 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Lets Compare AMD X570 VS B650 and or B650E AM5 Motherboards - explain some major differences included on their IO back plate such as how many USB 3 / 3.1 / 3.2 type A or C, WiFi, - leaving processors and DDR4 along with DDR5 out of it because their simply isn't a massive difference between the two variations at this time that make massive differences at this early stage to DDR5. Also we barely touched the surface on PCIe Gen 5 related too NVME M.2 gen 5 so set that aside too. And doubt we will see any Gen 5 GPU's for 3 years. It also doesn't matter using SATA3 Solid State Drives or NVME M.2 third gen or fourth gen because the speeds are all still quite comparable at present, other then M.2's take up less space and clutter. And the final reason I chose to ask these questions are, 4K is very popular and soon will dominate the market leaving processors irrelivent because even an AMD Ryzen 5600 or Intel 12100 or 12400 paired with an AMD RX6750 and up or NVidia 3080 thru to a 4090 will handle bottleneck problems. So while sponsors push us to buy "NEW" you should share some of this knowledge I shared. Buying new undeveloped products will inevitably leave us at a loss as we continue to see on both Intel and AMD struggle for dominance over one another at our cost.
