I was looking at the RedMagic as well but you can`t get that in the EU, I think because of the power consumption in regards to EU laws.

What I don't understand is how Apple got 10,000 dimming zones on their 13" iPads a couple years ago. Yet, no mini-led tv manufacturer has been able to even match that count on much bigger displays?
@@Deffine the zones are the easy part, the hard part is writing a local dimming algorithm that can properly manage the zones to give the least amount of blooming. apple is apple, they have the best and brightest engineers who create the best solutions for these kinds of things. companies like Sony or Samsung or Asus cant hold a candle to Apple Engineering quality.
Any company can make bad tvs and I dont think the cheapest or most expensive brands are much better or worse. Go on samsung or LG and find countless horror stories of broken and failing TVs. Inspect your TV well out of the box, use as much as possible in the return window, and make sure your kids dont throw a ball into it. You should be good. For what its worth, I've used vizio and hisense alongside my 2 samsung "main" TVs and never had a problem with any of them. I gave my parents my old vizio and they're still using it to this day, at least 6 years of daily use now.
@@CrunchyTire i know every has the chance to brake. But, for example, in Brazil we have two brands thatbrake a lot more(philco and multilaser). Hisense is new here, so im asking. But thank you for answering.
There are 2 OLEDs I want and could buy but they're just so thin and reports of being fragile and bending and all this stuff, I just cant spent that kind of money for something that I feel like I know is a bad idea. I think they're making a mistake being so thin. My 65 inch LED is easy to wall mount, transport in a car, take down and put on stand, etc, with only myself/1 person. I dont want the headache of a thin oled and it really bums me out because I want OLED for my next purchase.
"40,000:1 contrast ratio" i do believe that your testing method isn't very accurate, because with local dimming enabled rtings got 282,400:1, and without they got 9,449:1, and rtings is the absolute GOAT when it comes to tv testing
i really dont get where you coming from here. you say pretty often in this video this and that is a minor issue. for example subpixel layout. zone count, VA panel (WTF!) and so on. the price is pretty reasonbale and the size is also cool. but i would still get the oled in pretty much every situation. in my opinion there is a weird thing that people who are experts tend to overthink things. i would suggest thats the case here. even if the brigthness would be DOUBLE then any other TV. i would still not be convinced and the brightness isnt even so spectacular.
A question. Hisense just arrived here in Brazil and im thinking about taking the 85" u8n, but i know it has less dimming zones comparing to 65". Does it make a huge differencr? They are going to release just thr 75" and 85" here. I know 75" is ads pro panel that makes picture a little worse. So i want the 85" but dimming zones is making me think. Im an oled guy, i have a s90d and a lg a1 65" that i want to trade for this u8n.
ADS Pro should have better viewing angles and motion performance. Personally I’d buy the 75”, but if you have an S90D that has a much better picture overall.

I had to laugh so hard with the statement that you might go down to a mini led ftom an oled I watched a video from this same channel that made a computer simulation on local dimming zones that need 20000 local dimming zones. Yeah, ok, sure, right, you want a mini led tv that only has 1296 local dimming zones. Yeah I believe that anything under 5000 LDZ dimming zones was never going to cut it because of a lack of detail from the computer generated back lighting. Still laughing.😂😂😂 I can't buy it you want a miniled TV over an oled TV. I know LG W-oleds have black crush too. So there is that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sorry the longer I watch this video I can't believe you want a U8 N over an oled with it's own self lighting pixels.
Meh they trade blows and are virtually neck and neck in just about every respect. RTINGS actually prefers the U8n vs QM8 and it is on sale more often than the TCL
@@thedisplayguy Do you actually know the zone count of the 85" QM851G? Seeing how every other 85" Mini LED has less zones than their 75" counterpart there's no way I'm going to assume TCL put more zones in the 85" QM8 than the 75" QM8.
7:22 Stutter you mean ? I don't get why they call their motion interpolation stuff judder, it's stutter The TV is 120hz so it can't judder on 24hz content since it will to a 5:5 pulldown The response time being really low mean that each frame will stay on screen longer and that's what cause stutter, but it's not judder
Absolutely not, this is a legitimate review. Most gave this a 9/10 from what I saw, which is baffling. My score was much lower. Not sure how that makes this a commercial.

Its unfathomable. All i hear is yield is a problem, but how tf is it a problem at big sizes but not on small size? Makes no sense whatsoever.
Should have reviewed the 100 inch model has 1600 dimming zones and its like 100 inch. How many 100 inch oleds are there?
There is no 100” U8N only the U8K which is a carry over, they instead made a 100” U76N this year.
@TechWithKG it's the same model as u8k.
Is that near Namba station in the video?
And what durability hisense tvs? Hisense just got here, we dont know this brand very much. They have durable tvs or it breaks after a short time?
Just pay an extra $100 for a professional to mount it?
hey here a question is the samsung odyssey oled g6 g60sd a good oled ?
"40,000:1 contrast ratio"
i do believe that your testing method isn't very accurate, because with local dimming enabled rtings got 282,400:1, and without they got 9,449:1, and rtings is the absolute GOAT when it comes to tv testing
i really dont get where you coming from here. you say pretty often in this video this and that is a minor issue. for example subpixel layout. zone count, VA panel (WTF!) and so on. the price is pretty reasonbale and the size is also cool. but i would still get the oled in pretty much every situation. in my opinion there is a weird thing that people who are experts tend to overthink things. i would suggest thats the case here. even if the brigthness would be DOUBLE then any other TV. i would still not be convinced and the brightness isnt even so spectacular.
@@thedisplayguy viewing angles is not important for me once i always watch in front of the tv with my wife. But you have a great point. I alreay have an s90d maybe the 75" u8n is more than enough for me. Thank you, man. And once again you are great reviewer. Ill definitelly keep my eyes on your tv reviews.
You got your wish on the price 1799 now
The title is funny😂
Who says that?
Got the U7N 65 for $550 open box after my 120Hz Samsung TV died unexpectedly. Not as bright, but excellent nonetheless
I just watched another video where they said it had the best sound from a tv they have ever heard, and it wasn't saying much cause the majority of tvs have bad speakers!???!!!!😂
for that sizeyuh will always need a excellent 4k quality movies or show .at that size 1080 , 720 and 480p al going to suck big time
miniled input latency hdr on and local dimming on 8msec to 16msec, oled 0.2 msec.
You are mixing input latency and response time. Oleds input latency around 4-5 msec
@@EvertonSouza0 lollolol nice lie men i have mini led Monitor and OLED.... My oled input latency is 0.2msec wile VA Miniled 8msec.. With out response times.
@@MakeSh00t yeah. You are right of course
Love ❤d video !
So this is strange for anyone to hear . But our university professor - spent Entire 2 hr lecture explain tv watching ! Saying LED AS -- higher end technology than Plasma/OLED. Plasma/Oled is myth -- Marketing trick to get ppl to pay 2X 😊.
Human eyes only capture Image/ Brain does d processing ! We see what our -- Brain tells us , not what TV make it to be !
Thats when we meet ppl “guess where I am from ? “ ppl will make wild guess (I am always being call all sorts like Asian / Spanish / or Asian white mix , or South East Asian . Lmao )
Ppl perception of color is based on a GUESS . D first thing we see is how bright /black . Then the 2nd thing we see is color .
Any visual we see for longest time were reflection : sun 🔅 send light to object : deflect to eyes 👀. Any time we see something , means it’s lit with light .💡 then our brain 🧠 decided that deep grey is called black .
As long as The over all image is bright-- n dense color Volume , our eyes see it as SOLD 3D (it’s d Color makes it 3D)
The issue with bright parking lot we don’t see much , cuz low Color . Th issue with projection tv is low Color . In fact LG G3 G4 -- (Rtings ) only has 30% Color volume . At bright anything WOLED is dead flat .

🎉U8N is absolutely 💯 best :) MOST ppl would want that they don’t know they need it :):) 😊
Trying to support your Chanel . N in case yr buddies mock your U8N .
I went to school in Canada 🇨🇦, our scientist professor made clear - best tv R( LEDs that with high brightness 🔆, color densiry ) when we watch soccer ⚽️, NBA basketball 🏀, we all looking at color for the skin tone n jerseys, very little movement’s. Same as ppl hunt animal 🐂.
LEDs r better than OLED . Better LEDs out there all this time , sony LG made their LEDs more blooming low Color , so they could sell OLED 2-3X price . cash cow 🐮:) becusee once creat hype, ppl will funnel toward it throwing money 💰 at what everyone else is doing .
"this ain't no flat stanley, it's a chonkster"
GOOD, thin tv's fucking suck, less reliable, and if you wall mount, harder to get at the inputs unless you use a full motion mount
Yes. Ditch oled. Any product designed to fail like an Oled is a total failure. I look for quality and reliability. Oled is neither.
oled just way too expensive, 1k more in Canada accross the board
I had to laugh so hard with the statement that you might go down to a mini led ftom an oled
I watched a video from this same channel that made a computer simulation on local dimming zones that need 20000 local dimming zones. Yeah, ok, sure, right, you want a mini led tv that only has 1296 local dimming zones. Yeah I believe that anything under 5000 LDZ dimming zones was never going to cut it because of a lack of detail from the computer generated back lighting. Still laughing.😂😂😂
I can't buy it you want a miniled TV over an oled TV. I know LG W-oleds have black crush too. So there is that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sorry the longer I watch this video I can't believe you want a U8 N over an oled with it's own self lighting pixels.
Literally never showed a sideview of the TV but called it thick. SMH good review otherwise.
Pass, TCL QM8 85QM851G 85 Inches.
Meh, u8n is just as good of a set vs a qm8
@@theripper121qm8 has better motion
@@theripper121they took a shortcut on the amount of local dimming zones in the 85” model. It has way less than even the 65”.
75 inch U8N has ADS pro pnl 👌🏼👌🏼and 2000 dimming zones . Awesome set👍👍
These Hisense are getting better reviews than tcl for the 2024 models
TCL QM8 is better, and the sale prices I've seen put TCL and Hisense at the same price.
TCL prices are definitely very good right now! The QM8 has nearly 4X more zones, but it did have poor HDR EOTF tracking out of the box.
@@thedisplayguy Yes it is kind of crazy how much of a difference firmware can make in TVs now.
The upscaling sucks so everything that's not 4k looks like trash....
getting sick of click baits
7:22 Stutter you mean ? I don't get why they call their motion interpolation stuff judder, it's stutter
The TV is 120hz so it can't judder on 24hz content since it will to a 5:5 pulldown
The response time being really low mean that each frame will stay on screen longer and that's what cause stutter, but it's not judder
Great hype and garbage. Most will wish they don’t buy this tcl Hisense shirt
Bad choice to buy over OLED.... 😥👎😞
burn in is the deal killer
This is a commercial.... This dude sold out.
Absolutely not, this is a legitimate review. Most gave this a 9/10 from what I saw, which is baffling. My score was much lower.
Not sure how that makes this a commercial.
@@thedisplayguy Exactly, which is odd that you gave it only 6. Most review the 65 inch though...so mabye it is better.
