I bought a Hisense U8H for like $650 at 55 inches. Hits as hard as displays twice the price for the same size. It's cured my desire for an expensive OLED. Can't recommend these Hisense miniLED displays more highly!

I have the 75" U8N in my living room and managed to pick it up while it was $600 off during the Black Friday in July sales. This TV will undoubtedly serve me well for years to come. And for what it's worth, I also purchased the U7N 55" for my bedroom, which is very impressive in its own right.

@@thedisplayguy I’ve heard both sides of this. Everyone says ads pro is better but it comes down to preference. I like that my 85u8n with the VA has darker blacks and noticeably better contrast than my 75” with the ads pro. Modern VA panels have come a long way since the old days that’s for sure!

I've had my heart set on this TV since last year (the 8K model was 2023, but was planning on my home theater for 2024, so decided I would just wait for the 2024 model, the 8N).
If I can somehow get my hands on a 77" C3 or C4 for $2k or less (highly unlikely) come this holiday season, definitely going for the 75U8N.

and that's fine, but for those of us who struggle to tell the difference when they aren't side by side, mini-led is GREAT and gets us most of the way there, and best of all, burn-in isn't an issue (which is honestly my biggest hurdle with going OLED on a tv or pc monitor, i like my desktop background, i like being to just pause my show or movies and walk away without having to turn off the display also, i don't like hiding my taskbar in windows, and i can't do any of that with an OLED display due to burn-in worries)

Absolutely Hisense U8. WOLED is Dated at least 2-3 yrs ago, they just - SEEN as “better” by d stash of bribalism ppl for the “ part of club” . Very soon they do NOT looking outside, thoes ppl r seen as backward thinking, stubborn “L” (not yet, understanding they are Brain washed to Believe its better due to confirmation bias , n ppl buy it will enjoy in placebo n echo chamber). But the informations, videos are OUT there .
U8 has 4X Color Denisty of LG C3 C4 Sony A80L, Bravia8. N 3X color density of LG G3 G4. D brighter the tv the Denser color casted on the Bright object otherwise it will look pale/blinding. So the LG G3 G4 are going to look CHEAPER once reach 83” because d LARGER d TV the MORE critical the --Color density/volume it is to look 3D. Otherwise it run into the same issue as projection tv--thin color. 2D. Flat. Most imags do not have entire tv as black, most just black trim here n there. Face, apple, nose, T shirt. Pockets of images are all made by Color n same shade of color. But transition/ density of it.
Especially like trees, white ppl with light brown. Hair, pale nude hoody, n stuff like that most images day time looks pale out door, those WOLED looks screwed. Cuz once bright content it looks FLAT.

Do you know anything about the Cepter Pro USB-C 27" Mini-LED QHD gaming monitor? It is sold exclusively by a Norwegian company named Power ( at just under 900 US Dollars ). I haven´t been able to find who actually makes them but I think it might be Innocn?
It has 240 hz refresh rate, 2560 x 1440p QHD, 2304 local dimming zones and 1ms response time. I haven´t been able to find what exact panel they use though and what the input lag/ghosting/blooming is like. I do like that it only uses 30 kWh/1000h when in full HD though.
I was looking at the RedMagic as well but you can`t get that in the EU, I think because of the power consumption in regards to EU laws.

Oh the point of mentioning the below earlier was big TV better than small TV. Even if you have to go with an inferior technology compared to OLED to get there. Basically I'm agreeing with this video.
I love this OLED I'm typing this on. However, my main TV is an Ultra Short Throw projector. Picture is either 120" on its screen or even larger against the wall directly. (I don't have black out curtains or such so it really only shines at night. Though for me that's no biggie.)

It does NOT crush Black or Blow out Bright AREAs.
It has 290000:1 contrast Ratio. It has enough contrast to dissect the dark/bright images to small parts :)

What happens is that EYES--Cones that captures Color instead of EYE’s Rods(captures Bright white /black) so u will NOT be bothered by brightness at all (yes u have to set it up to your eye liking in the room.

So this is strange for anyone to hear . But our university professor - spent Entire 2 hr lecture explain tv watching ! Saying LED AS -- higher end technology than Plasma/OLED. Plasma/Oled is myth -- Marketing trick to get ppl to pay 2X 😊.
Human eyes only capture Image/ Brain does d processing ! We see what our -- Brain tells us , not what TV make it to be !
Thats when we meet ppl “guess where I am from ? “ ppl will make wild guess (I am always being call all sorts like Asian / Spanish / or Asian white mix , or South East Asian . Lmao )
Ppl perception of color is based on a GUESS . D first thing we see is how bright /black . Then the 2nd thing we see is color .
Any visual we see for longest time were reflection : sun 🔅 send light to object : deflect to eyes 👀. Any time we see something , means it’s lit with light .💡 then our brain 🧠 decided that deep grey is called black .
As long as The over all image is bright-- n dense color Volume , our eyes see it as SOLD 3D (it’s d Color makes it 3D)
The issue with bright parking lot we don’t see much , cuz low Color . Th issue with projection tv is low Color . In fact LG G3 G4 -- (Rtings ) only has 30% Color volume . At bright anything WOLED is dead flat .

🎉U8N is absolutely 💯 best :) MOST ppl would want that they don’t know they need it :):) 😊
Trying to support your Chanel . N in case yr buddies mock your U8N .
I went to school in Canada 🇨🇦, our scientist professor made clear - best tv R( LEDs that with high brightness 🔆, color densiry ) when we watch soccer ⚽️, NBA basketball 🏀, we all looking at color for the skin tone n jerseys, very little movement’s. Same as ppl hunt animal 🐂.
LEDs r better than OLED . Better LEDs out there all this time , sony LG made their LEDs more blooming low Color , so they could sell OLED 2-3X price . cash cow 🐮:) becusee once creat hype, ppl will funnel toward it throwing money 💰 at what everyone else is doing .

GOOD, thin tv's fucking suck, less reliable, and if you wall mount, harder to get at the inputs unless you use a full motion mount

Yes. Ditch oled. Any product designed to fail like an Oled is a total failure. I look for quality and reliability. Oled is neither.

I had to laugh so hard with the statement that you might go down to a mini led ftom an oled
I watched a video from this same channel that made a computer simulation on local dimming zones that need 20000 local dimming zones. Yeah, ok, sure, right, you want a mini led tv that only has 1296 local dimming zones. Yeah I believe that anything under 5000 LDZ dimming zones was never going to cut it because of a lack of detail from the computer generated back lighting. Still laughing.😂😂😂
I can't buy it you want a miniled TV over an oled TV. I know LG W-oleds have black crush too. So there is that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sorry the longer I watch this video I can't believe you want a U8 N over an oled with it's own self lighting pixels.

TCL QM8 is better, and the sale prices I've seen put TCL and Hisense at the same price.

TCL prices are definitely very good right now! The QM8 has nearly 4X more zones, but it did have poor HDR EOTF tracking out of the box.

@@thedisplayguy Do you actually know the zone count of the 85" QM851G?
Seeing how every other 85" Mini LED has less zones than their 75" counterpart there's no way I'm going to assume TCL put more zones in the 85" QM8 than the 75" QM8.

7:22 Stutter you mean ? I don't get why they call their motion interpolation stuff judder, it's stutter
The TV is 120hz so it can't judder on 24hz content since it will to a 5:5 pulldown
The response time being really low mean that each frame will stay on screen longer and that's what cause stutter, but it's not judder
