The thing that annoys me is when flying on a sunny day facing away from the sun there is a white spot in the video. Nobby I have noticed it on your video too.
I would wait on this update for a while. I've been flying in the same area for two years and now I'm getting signal loss in places it has never happened.
I'm having the same problem with my mini 3 pro. I have been flying the same set of lakes for 3 years and now I'm losing signal at 1600 ft where I used to get close to 5,000 ft. I don't know what's going on. DJI but the mini 3 pro needs an update
nice one mate updating as we speak only problem i get with my mini 4 is uneven flight speed almost akin to humping lol intermittently on full throttle with a slight head wind.fingers crossed this helps will let you know when i get a flight
Nobby, thanks for the update on the firmware update. We can always depend on you for the latest update information. Will update my M4P tomorrow.😅 Regards Lou
Just currious if you have your RTH set to "OPTIMAL" rather than "PRESET". I noticed that your drone failed to rise to the 82 feet you had preset for the RTH altitude but remained at 71 feet. If set to "optimal" the drone will use its own logic. I think its an easy setting to miss.
I haven't done this update yet Nobby but noticed just a few days ago when i went to plan a waypoint flight without being connected to the drone as I've done in past the feature was no longer there, not sure when it disappeared but would say sometime after the last two previous updates. Maybe this update has fixed that but don't really want to do it just yet unless it has fixed that ability to plan a waypoint flight without being connected to the drone while sat at home 😊
@Tony_33 I’ve tested this today and it still works. Make sure you are in the map view and once selecting waypoints icon you tap on the screen to set them. Obviously you can’t use the C1 button that’s for inflight only 👍 hope this helps
Im not sure if it was this update or the last one, but allegedly, the active tracking has been having issues recognizing people to be tracked at a distance
@@johnkeo358 not had a problem with focus track. It won’t recognise people from a distance. According to the Manual the optimum distance is 4-15m away. And also 1.15.4 has been out for a while now so the fly app hasn’t changed only the aircraft firmware 👍 thanks
Your Area51 is well selected. If anything goes wrong, You step into the large boots and get out there. Joking, but I did the same, test flying the Mavic 3 pro in really hard wind, having farmers land under the drone. One function told to make trouble is waypoints, drone mysteriously descending or worse. You don't test that very often...... One possible issue is the low battery margin set by DJI. Hysteria starts even when being close to H P already at 6 minutes left..... When flying using the last power of the battery I bring the drone just above the home point, just playing with turning it around, until RTH is signalled. Aborting it and landing manually works well, except for "critical" mode when the joysticks are completely disregarded. Landing with 6 minutes left... Anyway, watching Your update reports is mandatory here.
@@Stefan_Boerjesson yes I remember you stating the problem with waypoints and other issues. The battery levels are a guide I generally don’t fly below 20% and always bring it back before 👍
@@nobby-green My use is like brininging the drone close to home point, right above it at, when the prognosed time to RTH gets low, say 20%. Then filming, sometimes during descending from 120 meter. Having a safe sized area of asfalt to land on, cancelling RTH and going straight down has worked well. Critical level has never been reached during those flights. Once, being too far away, likely unfavourable wind, made "critical" kick in at the end. Climbing a pile of rubbish, grabbing the drone, saved the situation.
Thnx for the vid. i did notice when you done the RTH your compass seemed off? it looked like you wasnt pointing directly at the drone on screen with the arrow pointing to the right and was blue although it seemed you was facing the drone? I get this problem with my mini 4 pro, i point directly at the drone but the compass is always off. Thnx again for the video much appreciated
@@martinh5516 there’s a couple of reasons for this. It happens sometimes when flying inside the car and the compass is not very reliable with the RC2. If you fly with the RCN2 with the phone it’s perfect every time 👍 thanks 🙏
