      Hahahaha. We have a lot more in common than I thought, man. Brothers separated at birth a few years apart in different parts of the world. Just to verify, did your dad work as a traveling salesman in the late 70s traveling by gondola in the shallows of the Ohio River by any chance? Hahaha. Oh and Kristi and 2 of our 3 boys are left handed, too. We’re gonna overtake the world one day I can feel it.

      lol you may be right about me and Dwight. That’s weird. Hahaha. Sucks to hear about your mini 4 being destroyed. There’s just no pride in workmanship anymore. Used to be these delivery people would physically hand people packages and talk for a second and maybe even shake hands. Now they drive into your yard so they don’t have to walk more than 20 feet and they toss the package onto the porch if you’re lucky. Most times with us they leave them out by the gate at the end of the driveway for all the world to steal. I’m glad you’re getting your refund though. At least there’s that, eh? Once you get it in hand and fly it you’ll say it was worth the wait. Haha. God bless and thanks for watching!!!

    Kevin, I have the new fly app version 1.15.0. I noticed in the bottom left where the map is located there are three little lines. If touch the map, I get a compass, and if I touch the compass I get a new flight path, I really don't know how to describe it. It looks like you are looking out of the drone as it is in flight from the obstacle avoidance sensors. You can see the Drone as it is flying, forward, backwards, using those sensors. And of course if you tap on the little screen it becomes larger. I hope you will see what you think and it is pretty interesting. A new view from the Mini 4 Pro for sure. God Bless!

    Intelligent batteries are designed to check storage amount. It does this by using voltage pulses, which may be why you have a wattage amount that changes.

    Do you need that module for the Mini 3 Pro in the US

    • @WeretheRoberts
      @WeretheRoberts  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Awesome question and I’m sorry for my delay in replying. It’s been one of those weeks. lol. Anyway, the mini 3 pro weighs less than 250 grams so if you’re flying recreationally you won’t need the module. I don’t have a mini 3 but I remember someone mentioning a while back it has the built in remote ID like the Mini 4 that is activated with the plus batteries. I may be wrong on that so look into that to verify before taking my word. Haha. Anyway, in the US, the only drones that need remote ID are drones that are required to be registered with the FAA. So, if they’re bigger than 250 grams or if the pilot is flying under the part 107 certification, the drones needs to be registered and remote id compliant. Hope this helps, buddy!

    Considering getting the Air3s ? Are you considering it to test? I saw a guy fly from inside a high rise apartment out down the road around building and press the home button. Guy had big balls. It flew and the drone figured out the best route back inside the apartment. All without GPS lock

      Man, I’d love to get the Air 3S but I can’t even seem to get the required permissions to get the Neo. Hahaha. Kristi says I have too many drones already. I don’t think there’s such a thing so in still working on her. lol. That video you saw sounds pretty cool. If you can find a link will you add it?

    Hey Kevin......I just bought a Mini 4 Pro. One of the reasons is that all of a sudden my Mini 2 App won't work (android) ! Tried reinstalling it, multiple times with no luck. Just crashes immediately. There's no new app for that. Have you had any issues ? Also, I found your video from a year ago with that aftermarket app, but it won't work for Android. Thanks.......on the other hand, excited with the Mini 4 Pro. Just arrived and the weather isn't going to let me fly it for a few days. On a positive note, now I can go back and watch your videos of the Mini 4 pro (was moot for me before) ! Thanks if you have any insight with the Mini 2 😞

    • @WeretheRoberts
      @WeretheRoberts  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Heck yea, man! The Mini 4 pro is gonna be a lot of fun and you’ll come to find all those people who say, “no pilot should rely on obstacle avoidance,” is full of crap. Hahaha. I love that part. I still love the Mini 2 more but the 4 is really cool and as dependable as they come. Regarding the app problem, I’ve heard a bunch of guys complaining about the same issue with their android devices crashing and not working with the Fly App anymore. My only suggestion is try to find an iPhone and maybe try that out. It’s weird they are screwing with androids because the RC controllers are androids. I hope they work that out but you’re gonna enjoy the mini 4 in the meantime. :) God bless!

      @@WeretheRoberts Hey Kevin, so yesterday I got an email from DJI. It was a 'get to know your Mini 4 Pro generalized email, but it also had a link to the phone app (the same version as what's on their site that kept failing (multiple times) for my Mini 2........anyway, I downloaded the one from the email onto my Android phone and guess what? YES ! that one WORKS !!! So, I'm guessing that the one on their website is BAD ! Now my Mini 2 connects and works !! And that phone app works!!! Just wanted to pass this on in case anyone else went through this like I did (thinking my Mini 2 was going to be worthless to me) Test flew it and yeah, all good too! Flew my Mini 4 Pro for the first time this afternoon to just test it out (in the short window of weather window here in the NW) and psyched! So, hmm, now I have two drones......I'm all good with that! Love this new controller too so I don't need my phone (with the Mini4 Pro) Thanks for your response too!

      @celticmandoplayer oh wow, man! I never wouldn’t thought that was the problem. How come they don’t correct that on the site? I’m sure they’ve gotten complaints about it, eh? I bet you were walking in air when you figured that out. lol. Having 2 drones is a rarity now a days by the way. I mean, it’s like having 2 tv sets back in the 80s. Hahahaha. You’ll be the envy of the town now. I still remember that guy in high school who had a tv in his room. Man, they were rich!!! lol. Congrats again on figuring out the problem, man.
