This is a perfect setup for a quick character model, for when I want a generic person in a scene. Thank you! This seems waaaaay easier than a full person sculpt for a beginner/hobbiest like me.
Great video! I’ve been struggling to get more organic looking objects in my projects and I think that this method might work great for that on top of helping me with character design!
Hi Ryan , love your videos and really appreciate the time and detail you put into explaining things properly, would love to see how you make clothes for the character meshes. :)
loving these tutorials what I'd really like to know is how do you know all this stuff?? I've only been using blender via tuts for only a few months and still wouldn't be able to make anything more than a simple abstract thing lol cant wait til Im good like this thank god for people like you spending time sharing your skills thank you
Hello! Im really sorry to bother you. Please I am new to blender and while following this tutorial, after I merged all vertices to the centre and added the 3 modifiers in the order of your arrangement, when I try to extrude it only moves up or down I.e along the z axis alone. I'm unable to extrude or grab sideways. Please what am I doing wrong?
I'm stuck. Also, this might be good for the beginner animators. I really want a tutorial regarding how to image editing and most importantly how to composit an animation. :'(

THANK YOU FKR THIS I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO START MAKING A CHARACTER MODELFO SO LONG
glad it helped
This would be terrible to export to games right?
You probably need some retopo work before that
Yeah, as Ronaldo Pereira said, it would be best to retopologize it if you want to use it in a game, or just keep the subsurf modifier really low.
how we should starting blender ? for those who didn't know anything about sculpting and modeling ?
I have a beginner tutorial series you could check out. Also Blender Guru's beginner Donut tutorial series is great.
Ok
Thanks for watching.
