Sweet build! Hey man you need to gear down, not up. Slap a 60 tooth rear on there. Check your RPM with a cheap tachometer. You’re already bogging at speed because it’s geared too high. Torque converters topped out are geared really high. Maybe even stick a 9tooth on the front as well.

Before you change sprockets,mount the go pro so as to view the pulleys on the torque converter while riding. Lighter arm weights on the engine pulley internal arms will let it rev higher before shifting the rear pulley.

I am new to this channel but Mini Bike Mondays is awesome
I put the same tank on my trailmaster last year,pretty mFuch the same way except I notched the little piece of conduit before welding it so it sits a little lower and farther back...I also welded a longer bolt to the frame to lift the rear of the tank. I also rubber mounted every where it touched. First thing I noticed is a reduction in engine noise, a good thing.

That is a cool addition. You should make/buy a set of saddlebags for the rear racks, so you guys can do an overnight camping trip on the bikes. How about a headlight? You should suggest to Go Power Sports, to make a billet fly wheel that can be set up for electric start and charging coils.

I really look forward to and enjoy your videos, I think it would be cool if you would build a adult size doddle bug mini bike (a up scaled version). From the ground up, build your own frame and all. with the cool bender and welding table it would just be cool to watch.

15:29 save some major head ache... stuff a clean shop rag down the oil drain in the head, so parts don't fall in.

love the show a lot. I feel bad being critical and I understand the bars hit but that petcock is not going to work out. The tank has to come up in the front or you have to move the petcock forward. You'll have 3/4 of a tank and be dry at the motor the way it is now.
Check out the Dixie Choppers bike. OCC built. It's a lawnmower V twin with a transmission.
Have you thought about making a rack for your mini bikes. That way you could get more mini bikes in your garage, more to choose from later on!

Those rockers effectively give the bike a much hotter cam. Recheck the carb jetting after doing this.

How about a 2wd mini bike. Kinda like the Rokon motorcycles.
Those are not only complicated but extremely maintenance intensive. If you look at a typical rokon video about a third of those videos deal with troubleshooting the fwd part of the 2wd system.
The simplest way to make a 2wd minibike might be some sort of an electric in hub motor in front or some sort of hydraulic motor. Either way that's very complicated engineering to get the 2wd system turning on when you want it and at what ratio. If you have like a rokon it adversely affects steering so goodbye turning and handling. I agree it would be cool if they Redbeard would try it but this is a project you could not underestimate in its complexity.
How about some mild to wild builds on Tillotson's Ducar 212E engine? I'd still like to see someone just change to 22-26 lb. springs, add billet rod and flywheel (or less expensive PVL) with the existing Tillotson cam and Tillotson TCT carb, upgraded intake/air filter, header, mild clean up porting and 28 degrees advance to keep the torque on the bottom end and mid range. It's my understanding that the Tilly cam is basically a CL3? ( advertised "Target max rpm 6400-6900 w/gains in the 6200 area w 32 degrees advance.") I'd like to see what that engine's potential is with a billet and upgraded valve springs reinforced stock form. Maybe a comparison with an equally prepared Hemi Predator with a blueprinted stock carb? Seems like not a lot is being said or done with the Ducar Hemi engines on You Tube. Predators have been done, and done again, and done some more, and done, and done, and so done.....different is GOOD.
Paint the tank Blue to match the color scheme.

I said the same thing in a text earlier to Greg...V-twin, big cam big tube headers, deep rumbling mufflers and maybe a dual carb setup...and last but not least I'd like to see some custom aluminum rims and a set of huge tires to to give it a taller stance! I'm dreaming I guess but if no one else wants to take it on I'm gonna give it a shot myself because if I build a mini trail bike it's gonna have to have a decent seats height, 32" legs need more room off the ground than a standard mini LoL! That being said RBG is doing a great job.. keep it coming y'all and God bless!

The cvt is limiting it. We are going to do different weights in the drive pulley to let it rev higher in the next video

Red, I could not figure out what you were talking about when you said "ratio rockers" in the title.
They are actually called "Roller Rocker Arms" or just "Roller Rockers" and they can come in several different ratios of which these are 1.2 Ratio.
Where did you get the diamond plate tank that you had on the MB200. Before you swapped to the black tank?

On your bike I could just cut the frame and make it a single bar frame that way you can but a nicer gastank on it

You've done a lot to mini bikes! What can you do to motorized bicycles? The 66cc 2 strokes ehh. 4 stroke engines even the 49cc what can you do with these small power plants - bet you could do a lot?!

What is your Mikuni jetted right now? I have stage 3 212 non hemi with 27mm intake 25mm exhaust valves with a 24mm flatslide and i have a huge flat spot when chopping the throttle of idle. It has a 130 main and 15 pilot. The needle is a 5N13 and I have moved it up and down the full adjustment and nothing is helping, have been told a 140 main and 20 pilot would possibly help. What are your thoughts? Thank you for any help!!!
I know I’m a little late to the party but, I’m listening to the engine and I feel like I can hear the valve train. Is that normal because I put the blue ultra light 1.3 ratio rockers on my tillotson and I can hear what I believe is valve chatter and I’m not sure how to fix it or if it’s normal I can just forget about it. I did a ton of work on the engine by simply watching yours and cars and cameras videos. Do you have any input for me?

What about the MM-212 Mega Max I don’t believe the tank will fit on mine with the double top rail without big mods and the fact there isn’t that much room from triple tree to seat. Any ideas and still keep a teardrop style tank functional?

That's a sick bike wish I had one what cc is the engine?
I would keep the gearing the same and a 2 inch taller rear tire.
I forget the math on this but check it out online.
For each inch taller tire you about 7mph if the engine has the power to pull the taller tire which it seems to have.
2 inch would add 14mph once again if the engine has the power.
Check the figures online.
When you change tire size on cars and trucks the speedometer is no linger correct.
So I say tires are less money and a talker tire may get you out of a deeper mud hole.
"If the engine has the power?" That's just it, the engine doesn't have the power with the gearing they are using. Those speed calculators take things for granted. Namely load and HP available at a given RPM. A taller tire would make it worse. They need to modify the torque convertor, change gearing, or both for higher RPM and top speed.
Will a 420cc or 459 cc predator fit on the MB200 ?
If you have to use that much shorter pushrods, are you actually getting any more lift? I wonder if the benefit is really just less friction in the valvetrain rather than more lift? It would be cool to see a measured lift difference.
The additional lift is because of the increased ratio of the rockers. Duration will remain the same. For example if the cam has .233 lift ,the .1 increase in ratio, from a stock 1.1 to a 1.2 will Give it a .0233 lift increase. New lift , with the same cam= .2563.
@@Splungers I understand the concept, however if you reduce the length of the pushrod, you effectively eliminate the benefit of the increased ratio. The pushrods would have to remain the same length in order to get increased lift, because you are starting with less lift, all else left the same.
The geometry of them are different and set lower and need the shorter pushrods
