Wild how much Codec dialogue with the Boss exist when functionally most of it is useless since most players will go thru the mission without calling her 15+ times.
It's so true 😅 I thought the same thing when I was testing all the dialogue triggers 😂 the sheer amount of attention to detail and content crammed into these games is absolutely incredible.

That's what I love about these games: the relationships between all the characters and the conversations they have with each other feel organic and real, not contrived.

I jus beat it for the second time a couple days ago I didn’t realize how many optional codec calls there are like they all got something to say about what you’re wearing or eating or holding it’s wild
The level of depth and detail in these games is absolutely incredible! In the radio conversations, it's like they have something to say about almost everything 😂
I'm glad you noticed that as well! I wondered the same thing - whether it's in reference to us as the player not being able to smell things in the game, or if Snake himself actually can't smell 😂
@@IQ-GameplayKojima truly was expecting next-gen consoles to have some futuristic features so he can merge the players with the main characters, unfortunately none of them has that, but the Nintendo 3DS was the only one that got one of his ideas became a reality because he ported MGS3 there and wanted experiment some of the features the console had, this also includes the 3D effect, since Snake can't smell anything, we won't able to use the 3D effect after he loses his right eye
If you try calling The Boss after the cutscenes with Sokolov, she doesn't answer. I tried calling her over 100 times to see if anything would happen, and I eventually got this. It was just kind of odd and unexpected.
I had no idea that was even there after thinking I'd heard them all already, I'm genuinely shocked lol I think you can hear footsteps within all that static, and more specifically - footsteps on top of *grass*, despite the fact she was saying she was in a submarine iirc So I think that specific codec call is just subtle foreshadowing to her "betrayal".
