For all the base trucks that Magnum is actually the strongest with 420 HP I think. Many don't like the styling, and I certainly hate the color, but it would be an awesome deal if the repair bills weren't sky-high. Didn't it just drive to 8th gear? That Magnum has 12 speeds, so it actually is missing 4 gears, not just 2.
Yeah it's missing 4 gears because of the permanent wear. Very strange mechanic in this update, I hope they reduce the cost because it wouldn't cost 160k to replace an engine and gearbox!
@@SimulatorAdventures uh, well, it won't cost 160k to replace the engine and transmission, but just those two jobs are going to be upwards of 50 grand, and thats just replcaing those two big parts, a complete restauration for 160k seems very viable.

So the price included the fixes of gearbox and engine that you could fix without total restoration + whole of over 30% of permanent wear on a whole truck
i just noticed that Older Trucks in the game will now be in the new Used Truck Feature which then allows Newer Trucks SCS added Recently to be in the main Dealers of the game this is the next Step to Realism cos in Real life trucks that are not in Production anymore will be classed as used therefore adding Used Truck Dealers is a big Step looking forward to using this feature might buy a used Old Renault that your driving to test it out

One thing people may not know about the new key binders. You can actually long press keys and it will create a "HOLD" modifier. For example, you can set Left Ctrl for lowering gear and also Left Ctrl (Hold) for parking brake. It doesn't work for some functionalities, though, like opening/closing window.

It will show a progress bar of sorts as a visual cue. Then you'll see "B (HOLD)" set as the binding key. Now in-game whenever you hold B it will toggle parking brake :)
In beta 1.49, some old trucks can no longer be purchased new at the dealership, they have been removed from there. If you want to buy old trucks new, for example an old Mercedes, buy it before the update.
Do permanent wear odometer resets when we make total restoration. I heard that it resets but i tried with my renault premium and it didnt reset the odometer to 0.
I really love the new update. It would be cool if they also did the used Trailers. It would also be cool if the player could rent/lend used and new vehicles

@@aaaabababait's unrealistic that your truck is missing 4 gears :D I mean, I get it if the gearbox makes some noise or doesn't always shift perfectly, but it's just straight out bullshit that you can drive max 60-70kmh with a used truck. And replacing the gearbox doesn't fix it, because of the permanent wear. Strange.
I have speed on 1.4 and smoothing about 10/15. I'm also using the Pro Clip but I've recently bought a wireless custom pro clip from Etsy which is meant to improve the head tracking. Hopefully it's good!
@@_daniel.w That clip still works well. I think people are moving to alternatives like Freetrack which uses a webcam or phone camera, or even things like Tobii eye tracking
With the Emergency Stop it would be nice if there was an option to turn it on and off (via keyboard) when driving. As I have found it works a bit too well and, if you are trying to overtake, unless you are lined up correctly and some distance back, the brakes will activate. I've ended up turning it off as it was working too well.
Me too I've found that to be a problem. The worst is when it detects cars on the other side of a narrow road as an obstacle and emergency brakes for no reason! 😹
@@SimulatorAdventures I think (and I am in nowhere any form of computer programmer/scientists/geek, far from it...the opposite in fact!) is to do with how 'far ahead' and how 'wide' it looks. There is probably some techy term for that. What you also get in most trucks (I think) these days is an alarm which will activate but you can cancel out at first. But, in fairness, the time it takes for you to go distances in ETS2 is (thankfully) quicker than that in real life.

Last time I saw used truck to be able to buy was old school, Truck Simulator 2010 year old game believe. Though we’re the days Uk truck sim with couple of mods 😊 oh the memories man haha

I've heard that some trucks are being removed because of licensing issues. I'm sure if you already owned one it would still be there, or you could mod it back in. I think that truck should still be in the game though? However I can't confirm any of this
i would love to see trucks with random upgrades and also.. what if i buy dirt cheap used truck for my employees? Will this reduce their performance? Does truck wear even reduce performance of your empoloyees? Or they will simply repair it with YOUR money? (my money)
I'm trying this as we speek. Seems to me that an employee does not set of if you give them a truck with less than 4 stars. I skipt time for multipule days and they are still in rest mode.
SCS added used truck dealerships when it's been years since the release of the game. Now this feature seems irrelevant as most of the players have millions on their profiles anyway.... The feature should've been there from the release day lol.
Whats the point of this? I mean the career mode is not a challenge, buying a new truck is way to easy. And what happends if you put one of your drivers in a used truck that's really damaged? Will the driver just work as normal with no downsides?
Maybe a litte mistake in the game? since u can trade ur old renault the first one u bought u can trade it in for 70.000 euro while u bought it for 15k?
Been playing this game for a decade and never ever missed used truck feature, why would anyone drive a "broken" truck is kinda beyond me. "Quick jobs" lets you drive some high mileage crap anyway and so why bother...

ngl they put the least amount of effort into this update.... Developing a system with randomly generated numbers (km, wear) - and leaving the rest standard is really not a great update and takes no time at all. Even the community would have managed that - the game absolutely needs the option for you to be able to get out and do things yourself like uncoupling the trailer / or visible and noticeable wear on parts
thats going to be horrible for truckersmp. i already see it that someone launches into you at 110 kmh and it costing 180k just to repair your truck because of some idiot breaking the rules.
It's kind of a pointless feature imo. You earn so much, especially from event deliveries, that one or two more deliveries can get you a new truck rather than a used one. When buying for employees you can just buy the cheapest truck and it won't affect anything, so then your profits just snowball. I'm just not seeing all that much utility in this being a feature other than its neat to have?

No the normal damage costs the same, it's not the same type of damage as permanent wear on the used trucks.
