You might be using too much product - a little Lume goes a long way! Just apply a trace amount - if it pills up or it's still white on your underarms after rubbing it in for 5 seconds, you've applied too much. It really does work! All my sweat situation sounds just like yours...smelly out of the shower, two shirts per work day just to hope others couldn’t smell me. First application of Lume lasted 2.5 days. I didn’t smell, my stinky sweater(which I did not treat) didn’t smell. Totally amazed. I have made my husband smell me an embarrassing amount of times in the last few days.

@Ella, I know your pain! I also sweat like crazy after the shower and carry multiples of each top i wear (also work shirts) because i always have a sweat odor. I cant even wear tight-arm shirts because i know it will be worse 💧! My twin has a similar problem so i ordered us some today. I am excited for our Lume to arrive.
I am on either week two or three and I'm a total convert. I use it on pits, under-boob, lady-bits, butt-crack, and feet. You only need a little bit, and it's so great. The initial "scent" is really mild and androgynous... can't really detect it after a few hours. I'm not a super-natural person, but I was intrigued by a deodorant that wouldn't stain and wouldn't need to be reapplied since I only bathe every-other-day. Really happy with it. Pro-tip: It does dry like school glue if you apply it too thick... it also pills up if you try to rub it in too much. There's a sweet spot. But don't worry, it's really easy to find by your second or third application. I'm not a fan of trying to use the deodorant applicator like a deodorant applicator. I just wind up making a mess. So I just use it to measure out tiny amounts.
This is life changing for our family - sounds dramatic BUT TRUE! We have a very athletic child that has a very strong reaction/odor with sweat and we cannot find anything to work UNTIL NOW - we were always throwing her in the shower and covering up odor with MENS deodorant or the strongest products we could find - have tried many natural products as well - anything to keep her from embarrassment - ever since using Lume, she has NO odor - NONE! Works for days as well until next shower. This product is a miracle! I have told anyone who will listen to use this - THANK YOU for creating this and changing my child's life....literally!
As a teenager that has random bouts of depression, I can find it hard to motivate myself to have good hygiene. (Yes, it's gross. Yes, I'm aware. Yes, I'm very much embarrassed. Also, Yes, I'm seeing a therapist to treat this.) But since I'm going through tough developmental stages in my body, I sweat, a lot. I live in Washington, 9 months out of the year I wear thick clothing. Also, lower income family, so I can't always use the best products on the occasions I do shower >~< I'll definitely try out this product, and hopefully one I can get into a routine of cleaning myself and my home, I'll see a huge difference. (Ps, I suppose after I start using the products, I'll be willing to answer any questions to those in a similar situation to me.)

Hey Yuki, I hope you truly feel the support of me and others. I suffered from crippling depression for YEARS! It was horrible. I also struggled with the most basic of tasks including hygiene. My house was a true pigsty. I was a frumpy overweight smelly mess. I thought the black hole would never stop. Keep getting help! Keep working toward health, peace and happiness. Do the work to love and accept yourself, you deserve to be loved. Forgive yourself, if you don't get out of bed today, that's ok. Allow yourself to feel all of your feelings. One thing that helped me (aside from medication at times and lots of therapy) was journaling. I got a great big art book and some sharpies and let loose. Believe me when I say that my books (yes many) looked like a completely insane person made them. My writing made no sense. My drawings were ugly and dark. I used more cuss words than non-cuss words. IT HELPED! I was completely honest with myself and it let the pain and anger out. Sorry, I don't mean to get all preachy here, I just feel like you need to know that there is life beyond depression. I hope and pray that you can experience that amazing feeling of peace.
We tried some in my house! Even my husband loves it! No stains on his nice work shirts and less pre treating pit stains for me! We are HAPPY LUME LIFERS!
This works great for most people. It worked for me for about a month then slowly it stopped working. The folks at Lume' told me it was my clothing (it wasn't) and getting started guidance was followed. So it worked perfectly for like a month or so, but then I noticed stinky pits after about 8 hours, then about 6 hours then finally (before I quit using it) it would last about 4 hours or so. Note that it's not an antiperspirant. I sweat a lot (like dripping down my sides - ewww) and I think maybe I'm sweating the Lume' off. At this point I am using my old antiperspirant again, but I'll give Lume' a try again as winter approaches (less sweaty) to see what happens. I really like the idea but I can't be stinking...
I too still stink!! I got 2 on the peony rose. Smells really bad. My hubby says please don't use that it stinks. Maybe it is just the peony rose. Or I just sweat the Lume off too. BuT no go for me.

I tried alll deodorants I was skeptical of course. I have HORRIBLE B.O. like bad it gets worse with the bad food that I eat. I got it today and I kid you not I notice the difference the first use. This is beyond the best product out there. I almost cried because of how happy I was the results are just amazing! I feel normal again! Just tried this stuff, AMAZING! Like many, I've tried so many different deodorants that didn't work. This has really boosted up my self esteem no matter what I did, I smelled. This stuff is GREAT! So grateful for this product.
I am OBSESSED with Lume. I do believe one of the ingredients is "the magic of Disney". No other natural deoderant has worked on me and baking soda causes rashes. Lume is the only thing that has worked. I never attempted the 72 hour claim (24 hours at the most) but what a I've experienced, I swear by! 💗💗💗
Thats what has happend to me with other natural deodorants. They actually made me smell worse all of a sudden after using for quite awhile. I had to use charcoal face mask an an exfoliating cleanser under my arms a few times to get rid of the stink @ceciliamarie2375

I am well endowed and have struggled for years with boob sweat funk. Started using lume and my bras dont stink. I get undressed at the end of the day and no smell. Also It said 72 hours. I have never trusted a deodorant for 72 hours and thought I'd give it a shot on my days off since I wasn't going anywhere. And yeah no smell. This stuff is crazy. Now I will have to say. I got the sample tubes. 4 scents 1 unscented. One day I accidentally put on the silver sage and smelled like a sweaty old man for about a week. I showered and scrubbed. It took a while to get rid of the stench. I love the unscented best. I use it everywhere kuz I'm a big girl and can get smelly if I dont. I probably will never use another brand again.
Ok, ty for the tid bit about the clothes. I'm a new user of Lume. I saw it on FB and was like, eh let's see if this really works... And OMG I will never use anything else. You literally smell NOTHING. Even after sweating all day. BUT I noticed when I would wear an old shirt I would still smell the pits if I started to sweat. Thought I had to throw all my shirts away and start fresh. Lol now I'll just try the odor remover you suggested. Thanks! And yes this product is magical.
@@raqueltenorio-boyer4192 it's to get an antibacterial detergent like persil, and mix it half and half with water in a spray bottle. You spray the pits when you take your clothes off and throw it in the laundry. It works great.
Have you tried stink bug deoderant? It is aluminum and baking soda free. It has activated charcoal. It has worked well for my stinky pits. It's also like 5 dollars.
@@JunkFreeMomma I got it at walmart. I have a vanilla mint scent and it works for me. My pits get really smelly and nothing else works for me. Schmidt's and crystal burns my pits and my bacteria makes native deoderant smell bad (on the stick!). Only 6 natural ingredients too.
Pample Moose your not supposed to use it internally or as a lube, it’s only supposed to be on the outside. Also douching is not good either. Your vagina is self cleaning, you don’t need anything to clean the inside. It will do that plenty good all on its own and if it’s not then it’s a medical condition that needs to be treated. You should only be using actual lube as lube.
This was a great review. Especially if you watch her previous review of about 10 different deodorants. You can really see the excitement that this one works. I will forever trust Junk Free Momma's reviews now. So, I ordered the Lume. I switched to Tom's to avoid chemicals years ago but it never lasts a full day in the summer. When I wear certain UPF 50, athletic shirts, Toms only works a couple hours. This Lume Deodorant is a miracle. It works all day, right on through to the morning, just like she said. It even works when I'm hot and hiking in my UPF shirts! I never treated the shirts like Lume recommended, so, when wearing those shirts I still noticed and order for a bit longer. But now that they have been washed a couple times (post Lume), there is no odor even when wearing these shirts any longer either. I should mention, I never had an odor issue until switching to natural deodorants.
I tried lume and odoban based on your review. I have the same issues with sweating and odor. I have also tried native and a host of other brands. Lume does what it says. After using it for 2 days I rushed out the house and forgot to apply. Guess what? I didn't stink for the whole day. Also I have a 2 yo son so on the weekends I don't necessarily get to shower everyday. Guess what? No stink after 36hrs just like they promised. I LOVE Lume deodorant, especially on my private parts. I'm post-menopausal - don't know if that has anything to do with why I have an unpleasant odor down there - but it is VERY effective! And my daughter & I both use it for our pits & IT IS THE BOMB!!

I seriously love Lume! A lot of reviewers try it once or twice and then post a review, but you really need to use it for about a week before you decide if you like it or not. I've only used the unscented, but I believe the scented one is Lavender and Lemon Verbena.
I use Lume and I LOVE it. It's the only natural deodorant I've tried that works! (And I've tried so many. I've discovered I'm sensitive to baking soda, so I avoid that ingredient). I only use it on my pits and it last a good 48 hours. Nothing works like Lume.
I’ve just started this Lume deodorant. It’s awesome and true. I’ve noticed it’s effective on my private parts, and equally effective as a deodorant. I am sold totally on this product!!!!

I've been using Lume for a week, the unscented for work. From day one, with no 3 day or even one day prep, zero smell all day. Ive never had that happen with any deodorant . Everywhere zero smell. I'm not to the point of skipping a day but even if i have to use it everyday it's worth it.
Lume works especially after switching up. I used a particular antiperspirant and realize I smelled sweaty within a couple of hours. I then went on an armpit cleansing. Detoxing and scrubbing my armpits after years of using antiperspirants. I didnt even realize there was a difference between deodorant and antiperspirant; we use words interchangeably. Now I used natural deodorants and they gave my husband and I the worst burns ever. Long story short I came across lume and I was so happy. I love it. It allows you to perspire without your sweat being stifled. I have been using it and it works well with me. No stinky musty smell Only issue is I have to learn how to measure to place under my armpit cause the lume becomes caked up under my armpit. Otherwise I will not return to antiperspirant. My armpits are clean and healthy with Lume. Love it...keep up the good work doc.
I absolutely love this product, however I didn’t care much the smell even the scent less one had an odd smell, but luckily the smell goes away quickly and most of all it truly works!!!
Okay, so it is pricey but I will try it. I live in the south, and am a busy, plus size, momma of a crazy 5 yr old and I sweat so bad. Up till now I have only been able to use Secret solid. I have horrible reactions to other stuff and absolutely cannot use any of the clears because they destroy my clothes. Something with the way it reacts to my body chemistry. So thank you for your review, I am tired of having to reapply deodorant throughout the day and really need something for other parts of the body, so nice this company addresses that. :D Also glad to hear it is vegan since I am plant based, and trying to go completely vegan.
I got suckered into the marketing of this product and to be honest I absolutely HATED it. Smelled disgusting....like awful. Not like botanicals or essential oils like nothing I've ever smelled before 🤢💩 I LITERALLY THREW IT IN THE GARBAGE. I'm noticing a lot of people saying the exact same thing and instead of tweaking the formula or apologizing they put it on the customer or make an excuse as to why it doesn't work or smells terrible. ☠ they also block negative reviews about THE TRUTH regarding this product

I agree, it isn't feminine smelling at all. It reminds me of an aromatherapy spa treatment but it fades quickly. I have both and like them both equally.

I like Lume. It keeps the odor away. The scentless one DOES have a smell. It smells like flour. But it's not strong and can be masked with cologne or perfume.

I was Paleo like 5 years ago and I stunk so bad. Some of my old shirts smell as soon as sweat in them and I developed a theory that it was my shirts and not me. My husband rolls his eyes when I say this but I'm glad to hear that you have similar issues with certain shirts lol Thanks for the review and super excited to try out this product. Schmidt charcoal deo has been great for me but not my clothing.
Thank you for your opinion on Lume! Personally, I don't think Lume is as great as people think based on the cost of the product. It is expensive, and you can make your own for cheaper! Also, it doesn't last for 72 hours!
Love this product! Shower every day so don't really need this to last 72 hours so I assume it does? It lasts about 24 hours for my husband but he sweats a ton and can start to smell himself the next day. So it is strong enough for a man! Great product for those wanting a less chemical life! We use it daily!
I can't wait for my order to come! I never had an issue with underarm stink until I had to undergo a hysterectomy at age 27 and went into sudden menopause. I have tried every deodorant under the son, women's, clinical strength, men's, sprays, and nothing works. And I don't feel good using the kinds with the aluminum and other harsh chemicals.
This works! I've been using for a little less than a week, but there is Zero stench in the areas I've been having trouble. Armpits are one thing, but I'm a bit busty and would have odor under my breasts and issues with my feet; a little bit in those areas with Lume? The smells are gone! I like the scented one-- it has an organic spa type smell to me ( it says lavender and sage on the site).
I really like the product!! No it does not keep you dry, but if you have a long day it gets the job done. The smell is mild and when I out it on under my arms, I rub it in with my hand all over under my arm. You may sweat as usual but you will NOT smell bad. Private parts work well too, like I said after a long day. Put it on, and rub it in. Don't just slip it on. Rub it in, that's the key!!!!
I just ordered the unscented bundle. I’m highly allergic to aluminum and perfumes in skin care. The aluminum gives me cysts in my armpit followed by a huge itchy rash. Even regular aluminum free deodorant still breaks me out. I’ve heard good things about Lume, can’t wait to try it.
I just discovered this product and have also been impressed. I'm on day three of using it. I got it in the mail on Thursday and was too chicken to use it on Friday. Started on Saturday and used it Sunday and again today (Monday) and I'm shocked at the results. I honestly didn't expect it to work. I'm almost 50 and feel like I'm starting to get "old lady smell" and have been really self-conscious about it. I've noticed I smell sweaty/funky even when I wake up in the morning~ (not typical for me). Since starting this product it's nearly gone. I'm sitting here at 7:30pm, after having showered at 7am and worked a full day. Little to no smell. I've been concerned about using aluminum based products b/c of breast cancer and dementia/Alzheimer's. If this product continues to work this well, I'll be leaving behind my Secret Baby Powder antiperspirant I've been using since HIGH SCHOOL! Very exciting! Super thankful to the woman doctor who sought to solve the root of our lady issues, instead of medicating us or covering up the odors with perfumes. A good way to get rid of residual funk is to mix your favorite soap with baking soda to make a paste rub it in circular motions into your pits let sit for five ten minutes then soak a wet wipe with white vinegar rub the vinager wet wipe into your whole pit area and once you are done rinse with warm water. Then bathe. All deodorant products I have ever used work better after this. For all clothes that are stinky from Florida heat humidity and human body odor combined I make my special laundry booster. I take very hot faucet water and resolve half a dollar store canister of scented bath salts three quarters of a cup of baking soda a quarter of a cup of dollar tree laundry booster and scant half cup of kosher salt I stir this in a small tub till there is no salt crystals undisolved. I put my method detergent in with my clothes and my laundry booster soup all over the top of my and my husband's stinky clothes and this does wonders. Note we also prescribe to leviticus standards of cleanliness so all washed items have to sit out in the sun till sundown to be considered fully clean. But even if you believe that is hokey try It out sometime and see what you think because it hasn't mattered how stinky the thing is it always smells good after i put it through all of that. The other thing to note is that all reusable menstrual products get a salt and sulfate free soap bath and four time a day rinse before they are left out in the sun all day and then washed with the regular laundry. Hope all this helps. Shalom and good smells too you. Oh and ps I have noticed that this tends to make the whole house smell good for two to three days after laundry is done.
When you used the odoban pet spray- how often did you spray your shirts (every launder, once a month?) and how long did you let it set into the fabric prior to washing? I just got the Natures Miracle per Lumé TH-cam video suggestion but I also own the Odoban pet spray.....maybe I’ll do a side by side comparison 😊
I just placed my first order for Lume. I also have the same issues you have. I’ve been trying all sorts of different things. Hand sanitizer, coconut oil, honey scrubs, antibacterial soaps. Nothing works. I’m so excited to try this! I also live in the humid south of Florida and man I sweat non stop.

100% agree with this review. You've gotta try it to believe it, but put this stuff anywhere on your body where you nornally have odors, and they are gone. I apply once every 2 or 3 days depending, and that's literally all it takes. Even if I'm really active, I never stink. I'd say the smell is herbal, when you're applying. I mostly get hints of basil and sage. After it absorbs into your skin though, that smell fades and is replaced by a very mild, sweet smell. Absolutely the best deodorant I have ever used. I can't imagine using anything else.
I totally get what you're saying about the 'smell after showering' situation you described. Before I did a total self overhaul LOL, I would scrub and exfoliate in the shower and my armpits always had this buildup on them and sometimes funky scent too! I knew that it was from my 'Secret' deodorant but I was ignorant and used what my Mama has always used. About 5 years ago, at the age of 29, every system in my body was screaming with various symptoms. My Dr couldn't figure out what was wrong and just threw depression and anxiety meds at me. My body never reacts well and I usually get the rare side effects or it just doesn't work. I started seeing naturopathic physicians who were able to help me right away (4 gut infections, one that went systemic, and Celiac disease, and Pyroluria. Life changing!) I then looked into non-toxic lifestyle, home, self-care etc and went total hippy, overhauled myself and then tackled my home, swapping out literally everything. Best thing I ever did for myself and my fam. Most of my friends and coworkers jumped on my bandwagon too. 🤷🏼♀️💕☺️ The toxic part of regular deodorant is the anti-perspirant part. Your body is designed to sweat as a means of toxin removal. your armpits have big clusters of lymph nodes directly behind them. Your lymph nodes house all of the garbage that your white blood cells have collected throughout your body so that your body can remove it through sweat, urine, feces. Do not block this process, unless you like the sound of cancer and disease. That is a little harsh but it is the truth. I have worked in the medical field for 15 years, 11 of them as a nurse. The first four years I was a CNA 2 ACUTE and worked med/surf, ER, Intensive care unit, short stay.. it was amazing. I learned so much! it took about a full month before my armpits were fully detoxed. You have to allow your armpits to fully detox before you can judge natural deodorant. Yes you will sweat but not excessively unless you have a medical reason. One of the best things I noticed was that if I forgot my deodorant I don't ever stink. when I switched my diet to gluten free and mostly plant-based I also needed far less deodorant maybe twice a week and my BO is never offensive. I rarely get gas and when I do, it is a faint odor, nothing bad. 🤷🏼♀️ Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself. It will be life-changing, I assure you. I have tried several brands of natural deodorant, a couple that I really like. But I am so so ridiculously excited to try this brand next! I have been using lume for about a month & a half now. I love it. The only strange thing is sometimes my underarms get a little itchy but its very minor and doesnt happen all the time. But i also tried numerous other natural deodorants and they didnt work at all!! With lume even after being in the hot sun, I do still sweat a lil bit BUT no smell!!!!!
It definitely helps a lot better than anything I've used in the past. I have been using it for months and I still can't go more than 24-36 hours without showering and reapplying but it's so much better than before so I'll never go back.
Yes, lume work to get ride of smell! I have hyperhydrosis also! She is also correct, it is hard to find a good non aluminum deodorant! You don't need a lot of it. To keep the applicator from being contaminated, I wiped the applicator with my fingers and put it on that way. You don't smell, but you will still sweat! But be careful if you have sensitive skin! I tried it multiple for a long time. Every time I get a really bad painful rash! The rash made me smell like raw meat sitting in the sun for 2 days. I only used it in my armpits and under my breast. My friend had the same thing hapoen to her. She used it on her airpits and on female parts.. be careful! Love pizza kitty! My stepmom got me the same shirt but it was a taco instead of pizza.
I love Lumē! I’ve been using it for a few months & even got my husband to use it. He never ever smells & I never say never! That’s how effective Lumē is! It’s also so gentle. He used to get rashes from other brands but no more thanks to Lumē 💕. It’s the best!
Ann Estacio can you tell me does it have a wet feeling all day? Or does it dry up. I hate that feeling. I like it to be super dry which I get with Secret but I still smell. Did you know that 100% cotton clothing makes you sweat? First thing we learned with scouting is not to put your kids in 100% cotton on outings because it’s not breathable or wicking and makes them overheat. Lightweight blends are better if you don’t want to pit out.
I am loving Lume!!! I have been pretty ill. Diagnosed with kidney disease, hypothyroid, high BP, etc. My pits stank like I mucked out a horse barn. Actually my lady area smelly. Nothing helped. Started Lume. 48 hrs plus. Not bad. Not stinky. It works!!!!

Was looking for a review before buying. Only problem I have with staining clothes is from the deodorant itself, so I'm looking for an all natural deodorant that doesn't stain my clothes. I have been using this product for 4 days now and this works well so far! I went two days with out washing my armpits and day 1 no stink! By mid day on day 2 i started to smell a bit but not as horribly as I normally do. With other natural deodorants I usually get smelly after 2 hours! Try this stuff!
I just bought some...I didn't have that experience. I will treat my clothes first and then try it. I also didn't like the smell of the product. I bought a different one. We will see.
One tip for stinky pits, make sure you shave the armpit hair off cuz it is very coarse and porous and holds onto bacteria that causes odor. Also if you have stinky clothing, soak them in hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes or so and wash as normal and smell will be gone.
I would use Odo-Ban I hate Persil it does not remove oils like Whisk. To remove oils I am using Palmolive dish liquid I am still running a few more test for oils but it so far it has worked the best.
I like the old bottle of the lotion deodorant!The new one doesn't show u how much is left in the bottle,but,other than that its AMAZING and a little is all u need for all day!

You might be using too much product - a little Lume goes a long way! Just apply a trace amount - if it pills up or it's still white on your underarms after rubbing it in for 5 seconds, you've applied too much. It really does work! All my sweat situation sounds just like yours...smelly out of the shower, two shirts per work day just to hope others couldn’t smell me. First application of Lume lasted 2.5 days. I didn’t smell, my stinky sweater(which I did not treat) didn’t smell. Totally amazed. I have made my husband smell me an embarrassing amount of times in the last few days.

I am on either week two or three and I'm a total convert. I use it on pits, under-boob, lady-bits, butt-crack, and feet. You only need a little bit, and it's so great. The initial "scent" is really mild and androgynous... can't really detect it after a few hours.
I'm not a super-natural person, but I was intrigued by a deodorant that wouldn't stain and wouldn't need to be reapplied since I only bathe every-other-day. Really happy with it.
Pro-tip: It does dry like school glue if you apply it too thick... it also pills up if you try to rub it in too much. There's a sweet spot. But don't worry, it's really easy to find by your second or third application. I'm not a fan of trying to use the deodorant applicator like a deodorant applicator. I just wind up making a mess. So I just use it to measure out tiny amounts.

This is life changing for our family - sounds dramatic BUT TRUE! We have a very athletic child that has a very strong reaction/odor with sweat and we cannot find anything to work UNTIL NOW - we were always throwing her in the shower and covering up odor with MENS deodorant or the strongest products we could find - have tried many natural products as well - anything to keep her from embarrassment - ever since using Lume, she has NO odor - NONE! Works for days as well until next shower. This product is a miracle! I have told anyone who will listen to use this - THANK YOU for creating this and changing my child's life....literally!

As a teenager that has random bouts of depression, I can find it hard to motivate myself to have good hygiene. (Yes, it's gross. Yes, I'm aware. Yes, I'm very much embarrassed. Also, Yes, I'm seeing a therapist to treat this.)
But since I'm going through tough developmental stages in my body, I sweat, a lot. I live in Washington, 9 months out of the year I wear thick clothing. Also, lower income family, so I can't always use the best products on the occasions I do shower >~<
I'll definitely try out this product, and hopefully one I can get into a routine of cleaning myself and my home, I'll see a huge difference.
(Ps, I suppose after I start using the products, I'll be willing to answer any questions to those in a similar situation to me.)

Hey Yuki, I hope you truly feel the support of me and others. I suffered from crippling depression for YEARS! It was horrible. I also struggled with the most basic of tasks including hygiene. My house was a true pigsty. I was a frumpy overweight smelly mess. I thought the black hole would never stop. Keep getting help! Keep working toward health, peace and happiness. Do the work to love and accept yourself, you deserve to be loved. Forgive yourself, if you don't get out of bed today, that's ok. Allow yourself to feel all of your feelings. One thing that helped me (aside from medication at times and lots of therapy) was journaling. I got a great big art book and some sharpies and let loose. Believe me when I say that my books (yes many) looked like a completely insane person made them. My writing made no sense. My drawings were ugly and dark. I used more cuss words than non-cuss words. IT HELPED! I was completely honest with myself and it let the pain and anger out. Sorry, I don't mean to get all preachy here, I just feel like you need to know that there is life beyond depression. I hope and pray that you can experience that amazing feeling of peace.
We tried some in my house! Even my husband loves it! No stains on his nice work shirts and less pre treating pit stains for me! We are HAPPY LUME LIFERS!
This works great for most people. It worked for me for about a month then slowly it stopped working. The folks at Lume' told me it was my clothing (it wasn't) and getting started guidance was followed. So it worked perfectly for like a month or so, but then I noticed stinky pits after about 8 hours, then about 6 hours then finally (before I quit using it) it would last about 4 hours or so. Note that it's not an antiperspirant. I sweat a lot (like dripping down my sides - ewww) and I think maybe I'm sweating the Lume' off. At this point I am using my old antiperspirant again, but I'll give Lume' a try again as winter approaches (less sweaty) to see what happens. I really like the idea but I can't be stinking...
I too still stink!! I got 2 on the peony rose. Smells really bad. My hubby says please don't use that it stinks. Maybe it is just the peony rose. Or I just sweat the Lume off too. BuT no go for me.

I tried alll deodorants I was skeptical of course. I have HORRIBLE B.O. like bad it gets worse with the bad food that I eat. I got it today and I kid you not I notice the difference the first use. This is beyond the best product out there. I almost cried because of how happy I was the results are just amazing! I feel normal again! Just tried this stuff, AMAZING! Like many, I've tried so many different deodorants that didn't work. This has really boosted up my self esteem no matter what I did, I smelled. This stuff is GREAT! So grateful for this product.
I am OBSESSED with Lume. I do believe one of the ingredients is "the magic of Disney". No other natural deoderant has worked on me and baking soda causes rashes. Lume is the only thing that has worked. I never attempted the 72 hour claim (24 hours at the most) but what a I've experienced, I swear by! 💗💗💗

Thats what has happend to me with other natural deodorants. They actually made me smell worse all of a sudden after using for quite awhile. I had to use charcoal face mask an an exfoliating cleanser under my arms a few times to get rid of the stink @ceciliamarie2375

I am well endowed and have struggled for years with boob sweat funk. Started using lume and my bras dont stink. I get undressed at the end of the day and no smell. Also It said 72 hours. I have never trusted a deodorant for 72 hours and thought I'd give it a shot on my days off since I wasn't going anywhere. And yeah no smell. This stuff is crazy. Now I will have to say. I got the sample tubes. 4 scents 1 unscented. One day I accidentally put on the silver sage and smelled like a sweaty old man for about a week. I showered and scrubbed. Ok, ty for the tid bit about the clothes. I'm a new user of Lume. I saw it on FB and was like, eh let's see if this really works... And OMG I will never use anything else. You literally smell NOTHING. Even after sweating all day. BUT I noticed when I would wear an old shirt I would still smell the pits if I started to sweat. Thought I had to throw all my shirts away and start fresh. Lol now I'll just try the odor remover you suggested. Thanks! And yes this product is magical.

@@raqueltenorio-boyer4192 it's to get an antibacterial detergent like persil, and mix it half and half with water in a spray bottle. You spray the pits when you take your clothes off and throw it in the laundry. It works great.

I got it at walmart. I have a vanilla mint scent and it works for me. My pits get really smelly and nothing else works for me. Schmidt's and crystal burns my pits and my bacteria makes native deoderant smell bad (on the stick!). Only 6 natural ingredients too.

Pample Moose your not supposed to use it internally or as a lube, it’s only supposed to be on the outside. Also douching is not good either. Your vagina is self cleaning, you don’t need anything to clean the inside. It will do that plenty good all on its own and if it’s not then it’s a medical condition that needs to be treated. You should only be using actual lube as lube.

So, I ordered the Lume. I switched to Tom's to avoid chemicals years ago but it never lasts a full day in the summer. When I wear certain UPF 50, athletic shirts, Toms only works a couple hours. This Lume Deodorant is a miracle. It works all day, right on through to the morning, just like she said. It even works when I'm hot and hiking in my UPF shirts! I never treated the shirts like Lume recommended, so, when wearing those shirts I still noticed and order for a bit longer. But now that they have been washed a couple times (post Lume), there is no odor even when wearing these shirts any longer either. I should mention, I never had an odor issue until switching to natural deodorants.

I tried lume and odoban based on your review. I have the same issues with sweating and odor. I have also tried native and a host of other brands. Lume does what it says. After using it for 2 days I rushed out the house and forgot to apply. Guess what? I didn't stink for the whole day. Also I have a 2 yo son so on the weekends I don't necessarily get to shower everyday. Guess what? No stink after 36hrs just like they promised. I seriously love Lume! A lot of reviewers try it once or twice and then post a review, but you really need to use it for about a week before you decide if you like it or not. I've only used the unscented, but I believe the scented one is Lavender and Lemon Verbena.

I use Lume and I LOVE it. It's the only natural deodorant I've tried that works! (And I've tried so many. I've discovered I'm sensitive to baking soda, so I avoid that ingredient). I only use it on my pits and it last a good 48 hours. Nothing works like Lume.

Be careful using Odoban.. I read in the thread above that is causes infertility and other health problems. Sounds like Lume is all anyone needs.

I've been using Lume for a week, the unscented for work. From day one, with no 3 day or even one day prep, zero smell all day. Ive never had that happen with any deodorant . Everywhere zero smell. I'm not to the point of skipping a day but even if i have to use it everyday it's worth it.

Lume works especially after switching up. I used a particular antiperspirant and realize I smelled sweaty within a couple of hours. I then went on an armpit cleansing. Detoxing and scrubbing my armpits after years of using antiperspirants. I didnt even realize there was a difference between deodorant and antiperspirant; we use words interchangeably. Now I used natural deodorants and they gave my husband and I the worst burns ever. Long story short I came across lume and I was so happy. I love it. It allows you to perspire without your sweat being stifled. I have been using it and it works well with me. No stinky musty smell
Only issue is I have to learn how to measure to place under my armpit cause the lume becomes caked up under my armpit. Otherwise I will not return to antiperspirant. My armpits are clean and healthy with Lume. Love it...keep up the good work doc.

I absolutely love this product, however I didn’t care much the smell even the scent less one had an odd smell, but luckily the smell goes away quickly and most of all it truly works!!!
Okay, so it is pricey but I will try it. I live in the south, and am a busy, plus size, momma of a crazy 5 yr old and I sweat so bad. Up till now I have only been able to use Secret solid. I have horrible reactions to other stuff and absolutely cannot use any of the clears because they destroy my clothes. Something with the way it reacts to my body chemistry. So thank you for your review, I am tired of having to reapply deodorant throughout the day and really need something for other parts of the body, so nice this company addresses that. :D Also glad to hear it is vegan since I am plant based, and trying to go completely vegan.

I got suckered into the marketing of this product and to be honest I absolutely HATED it. Smelled disgusting....like awful. Not like botanicals or essential oils like nothing I've ever smelled before 🤢💩 I LITERALLY THREW IT IN THE GARBAGE. I'm noticing a lot of people saying the exact same thing and instead of tweaking the formula or apologizing they put it on the customer or make an excuse as to why it doesn't work or smells terrible. ☠ they also block negative reviews about THE TRUTH regarding this product

I agree, it isn't feminine smelling at all. It reminds me of an aromatherapy spa treatment but it fades quickly. I have both and like them both equally.

I like Lume. It keeps the odor away. The scentless one DOES have a smell. It smells like flour. But it's not strong and can be masked with cologne or perfume.

I was Paleo like 5 years ago and I stunk so bad. Some of my old shirts smell as soon as sweat in them and I developed a theory that it was my shirts and not me. Thank you for your opinion on Lume! Personally, I don't think Lume is as great as people think based on the cost of the product. It is expensive, and you can make your own for cheaper! Also, it doesn't last for 72 hours!

Love this product! Shower every day so don't really need this to last 72 hours so I assume it does? It lasts about 24 hours for my husband but he sweats a ton and can start to smell himself the next day. So it is strong enough for a man! Great product for those wanting a less chemical life! We use it daily!
I can't wait for my order to come! I never had an issue with underarm stink until I had to undergo a hysterectomy at age 27 and went into sudden menopause. I have tried every deodorant under the son, women's, clinical strength, men's, sprays, and nothing works. And I don't feel good using the kinds with the aluminum and other harsh chemicals.

This works! I've been using for a little less than a week, but there is Zero stench in the areas I've been having trouble. Armpits are one thing, but I'm a bit busty and would have odor under my breasts and issues with my feet; a little bit in those areas with Lume? The smells are gone! I like the scented one-- it has an organic spa type smell to me ( it says lavender and sage on the site).

I really like the product!! No it does not keep you dry, but if you have a long day it gets the job done. The smell is mild and when I out it on under my arms, I rub it in with my hand all over under my arm. You may sweat as usual but you will NOT smell bad. Private parts work well too, like I said after a long day. Put it on, and rub it in. Don't just slip it on. Rub it in, that's the key!!!!
I just ordered the unscented bundle. I’m highly allergic to aluminum and perfumes in skin care. The aluminum gives me cysts in my armpit followed by a huge itchy rash. Even regular aluminum free deodorant still breaks me out. I’ve heard good things about Lume, can’t wait to try it.

I just discovered this product and have also been impressed. I'm on day three of using it. I got it in the mail on Thursday and was too chicken to use it on Friday. Started on Saturday and used it Sunday and again today (Monday) and I'm shocked at the results. I honestly didn't expect it to work. I'm almost 50 and feel like I'm starting to get "old lady smell" and have been really self-conscious about it. I've noticed I smell sweaty/funky even when I wake up in the morning~ (not typical for me). Since starting this product it's nearly gone. I'm sitting here at 7:30pm, after having showered at 7am and worked a full day. Little to no smell. I've been concerned about using aluminum based products b/c of breast cancer and dementia/Alzheimer's. If this product continues to work this well, I'll be leaving behind my Secret Baby Powder antiperspirant I've been using since HIGH SCHOOL! Very exciting! Super thankful to the woman doctor who sought to solve the root of our lady issues, instead of medicating us or covering up the odors with perfumes. Trust me, IT REALLY WORKS! I use it, my husband uses it, and my 8 year old daughter uses it.
A good way to get rid of residual funk is to mix your favorite soap with baking soda to make a paste rub it in circular motions into your pits let sit for five ten minutes then soak a wet wipe with white vinegar rub the vinager wet wipe into your whole pit area and once you are done rinse with warm water. Then bathe. All deodorant products I have ever used work better after this. For all clothes that are stinky from Florida heat humidity and human body odor combined I make my special laundry booster. I take very hot faucet water and resolve half a dollar store canister of scented bath salts three quarters of a cup of baking soda a quarter of a cup of dollar tree laundry booster and scant half cup of kosher salt I stir this in a small tub till there is no salt crystals undisolved. I put my method detergent in with my clothes and my laundry booster soup all over the top of my and my husband's stinky clothes and this does wonders. Note we also prescribe to leviticus standards of cleanliness so all washed items have to sit out in the sun till sundown to be considered fully clean. But even if you believe that is hokey try It out sometime and see what you think because it hasn't mattered how stinky the thing is it always smells good after i put it through all of that. The other thing to note is that all reusable menstrual products get a salt and sulfate free soap bath and four time a day rinse before they are left out in the sun all day and then washed with the regular laundry. Hope all this helps. Shalom and good smells too you. Oh and ps I have noticed that this tends to make the whole house smell good for two to three days after laundry is done.

When you used the odoban pet spray- how often did you spray your shirts (every launder, once a month?) and how long did you let it set into the fabric prior to washing? I just got the Natures Miracle per Lumé TH-cam video suggestion but I also own the Odoban pet spray.....maybe I’ll do a side by side comparison 😊
I just sprayed it before I washed 1 time. Since I don't stink anymore, I don't have to use it.

I just placed my first order for Lume. I also have the same issues you have. I’ve been trying all sorts of different things. Hand sanitizer, coconut oil, honey scrubs, antibacterial soaps. Nothing works. I’m so excited to try this! I also live in the humid south of Florida and man I sweat non stop.

Hi there, it does NOT work on my pits anymore but I still use and love it on my feet. I haven't had to throw away shoes from this summer yet b.c Lume saved the day.
It works well on other lady parts. Didn't have to use feminine spray.

Yes, Lume is scented with clary sage and lavender essential oils. We also have an unscented version too!

100% agree with this review. You've gotta try it to believe it, but put this stuff anywhere on your body where you nornally have odors, and they are gone.
I apply once every 2 or 3 days depending, and that's literally all it takes. Even if I'm really active, I never stink.
I'd say the smell is herbal, when you're applying. I mostly get hints of basil and sage. After it absorbs into your skin though, that smell fades and is replaced by a very mild, sweet smell.
Absolutely the best deodorant I have ever used. I can't imagine using anything else.
I love putting it on my stinky feet in the summer. Its saving my shoes.
Lume's scent is Lavender and Sage. I LOVE Lume! It works great, the scent is great, no bad chemicals and NO RASH!!
I totally get what you're saying about the 'smell after showering' situation you described. Before I did a total self overhaul LOL, I would scrub and exfoliate in the shower and my armpits always had this buildup on them and sometimes funky scent too! I knew that it was from my 'Secret' deodorant but I was ignorant and used what my Mama has always used. About 5 years ago, at the age of 29, every system in my body was screaming with various symptoms. My Dr couldn't figure out what was wrong and just threw depression and anxiety meds at me. My body never reacts well and I usually get the rare side effects or it just doesn't work. I started seeing naturopathic physicians who were able to help me right away (4 gut infections, one that went systemic, and Celiac disease, and Pyroluria. Life changing!) I then looked into non-toxic lifestyle, home, self-care etc and went total hippy, overhauled myself and then tackled my home, swapping out literally everything. Best thing I ever did for myself and my fam. Most of my friends and coworkers jumped on my bandwagon too. 🤷🏼♀️💕☺️ The toxic part of regular deodorant is the anti-perspirant part. Your body is designed to sweat as a means of toxin removal. your armpits have big clusters of lymph nodes directly behind them. Your lymph nodes house all of the garbage that your white blood cells have collected throughout your body so that your body can remove it through sweat, urine, feces. Do not block this process, unless you like the sound of cancer and disease. That is a little harsh but it is the truth. I have worked in the medical field for 15 years, 11 of them as a nurse. The first four years I was a CNA 2 ACUTE and worked med/surf, ER, Intensive care unit, short stay.. it was amazing. I learned so much!
it took about a full month before my armpits were fully detoxed. You have to allow your armpits to fully detox before you can judge natural deodorant. Yes you will sweat but not excessively unless you have a medical reason. One of the best things I noticed was that if I forgot my deodorant I don't ever stink. when I switched my diet to gluten free and mostly plant-based I also needed far less deodorant maybe twice a week and my BO is never offensive. I rarely get gas and when I do, it is a faint odor, nothing bad. 🤷🏼♀️ Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself. It will be life-changing, I assure you.

I have been using lume for about a month & a half now. I love it. The only strange thing is sometimes my underarms get a little itchy but its very minor and doesnt happen all the time. But i also tried numerous other natural deodorants and they didnt work at all!! With lume even after being in the hot sun, I do still sweat a lil bit BUT no smell!!!!!

It definitely helps a lot better than anything I've used in the past. I have been using it for months and I still can't go more than 24-36 hours without showering and reapplying but it's so much better than before so I'll never go back.

Yes, lume work to get ride of smell! I have hyperhydrosis also! She is also correct, it is hard to find a good non aluminum deodorant! You don't need a lot of it. To keep the applicator from being contaminated, I wiped the applicator with my fingers and put it on that way. You don't smell, but you will still sweat!
But be careful if you have sensitive skin! I tried it multiple for a long time. Every time I get a really bad painful rash! The rash made me smell like raw meat sitting in the sun for 2 days. I only used it in my armpits and under my breast. My friend had the same thing hapoen to her. She used it on her airpits and on female parts.. be careful!

Ann Estacio can you tell me does it have a wet feeling all day? Or does it dry up. I hate that feeling. I like it to be super dry which I get with Secret but I still smell. The "e" in Lume is pronounced as a long "eeee", like in "sheep, keep, or clean". In the commercial they used this rhyme: If you smell gloomy or fumy use Lume. Something like that.

Did you know that 100% cotton clothing makes you sweat? First thing we learned with scouting is not to put your kids in 100% cotton on outings because it’s not breathable or wicking and makes them overheat. Lightweight blends are better if you don’t want to pit out.
I am loving Lume!!! I have been pretty ill. Diagnosed with kidney disease, hypothyroid, high BP, etc. My pits stank like I mucked out a horse barn. Actually my lady area smelly. Nothing helped. Started Lume. 48 hrs plus. Not bad. Not stinky. It works!!!!

Was looking for a review before buying. Only problem I have with staining clothes is from the deodorant itself, so I'm looking for an all natural deodorant that doesn't stain my clothes. I have been using this product for 4 days now and this works well so far! I went two days with out washing my armpits and day 1 no stink! By mid day on day 2 i started to smell a bit but not as horribly as I normally do. With other natural deodorants I usually get smelly after 2 hours! Try this stuff!
I just bought some...I didn't have that experience. I will treat my clothes first and then try it. I also didn't like the smell of the product. I bought a different one. We will see.
One tip for stinky pits, make sure you shave the armpit hair off cuz it is very coarse and porous and holds onto bacteria that causes odor. Also if you have stinky clothing, soak them in hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes or so and wash as normal and smell will be gone.

I would use Odo-Ban I hate Persil it does not remove oils like Whisk. To remove oils I am using Palmolive dish liquid I am still running a few more test for oils but it so far it has worked the best.
Where do you buy your odo ban? Would you mind posting a link to the exact formula you use? I'm interested in trying it.
I like the old bottle of the lotion deodorant!The new one doesn't show u how much is left in the bottle,but,other than that its AMAZING and a little is all u need for all day!
