For years, I have given half-assed gift wrapped gifts to my friends and family. My mom disowned me, I lost my job and my girlfriend left me for a better gift wrapper. That all changed when I saw this video. This has literally changed my life. Since I've been using these gift wrapping hacks, I landed my dream job, got a new mom and my girlfriend begged me to come back to her. I can finally celebrate Christmas with my family for the first time. I couldn't thank you more for this life-changing experience :')
This is why I'm here. My Christmassing sucked more than ever; bought everything late, rushed the wrapping, and even had to buy some gifts and wrap them in a pinch AFTER the special day itself. So I've vowed that next year I'll be done before everyone in my family. I want to go into December already done with wrapping done like in this vid!
@@MarcusT86 People always say there is plenty of time left in november, then, why not.. instead of leaving it for december you finish it in november. IThat is what I did this year, I got the presents in november, wrapped them in december and I was all set, no pressure no worries. You should do that next year. The presents are for someone else, but buy them early for yourself so you will not feel bad or guilty

GREAT wrapping idea. I'm a 73 year old man who can remodel a house and do almost anything with wood. But my gift wrapping always left much to be desired. My wife told me after I paid the dept stores to wrap one year long ago that she would rather have me to do it myself. Most likely so she would know which presents were hers! This diagonal way looks so nice and it is easy. Thank you.

I bought this really thick fancy wrapping paper for someone’s birthday. There’s not much wrapping paper in the roll and I accidentally cut too little!! I remember I had casually watched this video before and oh my god you just saved my butt!! The present looks MUCH better this way and without the side flaps that make presents look like an envelope!! Thanks so much!!
Me: **wraps them when there's over 20 days left and labels the box I put them in "Don't open until the 24th"** Me when there's 7 days left: **opens the box and adds decorative ribbons to the presents**
Same here. I did that last year and I said this year, I'll wrap them once I get them but here it is, they're all still waiting to be wrapped. But with these tips, I might start wrapping soon. ☺
I usually do my wrapping just before I need to attend xmas. That way I know I wont take forever deciding on which paper, ribbon, etc. I pretty much slap it up in no time. The gifts only get ripped open anyways!
JaylynsWorld I watched this a couple of weeks ago and, sure enough, I cut a piece of Christmas paper just a bit too small for my package! Even trying it for other items didn't work UNTIL I tried one of them with the diagonal method....it WORKED!!! Yes, I had to trim the end a bit, partway through, but I just made sure I cut both ends evenly and it fit great!!
It depends of your own ability and creativity. I always do it with enough paper and it always looks professional. I decorate with lovely things as Christmas hangers for the tree. All method is perfect, when you do it with LOVE!
Amazon stuffs their boxes with crumpled (LONG, EXCESSIVE) sheets of that brown craft paper. I save it and wrap my presents in that for rustic, free wrapping paper.
Me too, I even save the bubble wrap from parcels for when I am beating stuff. The craft paper gets folded neatly and sometimes ironed. Or I will crumple it more, depends on the look I want.

Here for the one with the present being slightly too big for the wrapping paper. I got a short roll and remembered there was a video that may help me. And I found the exact video I was looking for.
Oh man, all this time I would cut a extra strip to cover up the empty spot where the paper didn't cover not to mention all the money I've wasted at the dollar tree buying bags 😡! Love these ideas😁!!!!!! Thx for sharing!!!
I like seeing people that seems to also struggle the way I do, idk why but then it kinda feels more authenthic, that the method you trued actually works. If it is shown by someone who's already a master at wrapping anything, anytime and anywhere I think it just makes me more nervous and worry that the method won't work for someone unskilled like me
When I was little and “helping” my parents wrap presents, I suggested they wrap diagonally and asked why they didn’t just do it that way because it made the most sense. They told me it didn’t work that way, AND I BELIEVED THEM. My whole life has been a lie.
Diagonal wrapping; used by candy-bar manufacturers for almost a century! Thanks for posting this; your tips are timeless, and will be gifting lifesavers for generations. Merry Christmas to you; may you and yours have a great holiday and coming year 🎉🎁🎄
I adore your bag tutorial the most, but not to say the others were not, they were also awesome, but getting back to the bag, I will surely try to do it this Christmas, thank you.
If you're struggling wrapping a roundish object it can help to use some thicker paper that doesn't end up a crumbled mess, and then just enjoy the coarse folds on it. (thanks, just needed a refresher on the diagonal wrap)
I have done the curling the paper to make a bow, the toilet paper roll and the pringles jar .. They are all adorable. I also use cereal boxes for small gifts and just wrap them. You can't tell the difference.
Its a cute idea, a little color spray paint and you have a nice box that can be a pain to try and make from a peice of cardstock. :) It'll save $$ too, cardstock can be a little pricey for someone on a budget.
I wrap customers gifts at my local Barnes and Noble, where they are encouraged to make a donation and all proceeds go to charity. The wrapping paper is graciously provided by B&N and I always feel horrible throwing away wrapping paper that’s cut too small and doesn’t fit the books. Very excited to try out your first hack this Saturday while wrapping gifts! (also, contact your local B&N to find out if they host charitable organizations to wrap gifts!)
I thought to hack always just meant to break into a computer and steal information. Now it means virtually anyway to shorten the time it takes to do anything from wrapping gifts to climbing Mount Everest.
@@Micky748-r7u : in my day, we called hacks "tips". Such as 'gift-wrapping tips". I still haven't figured out what was wrong with the word "tips" such that they had to rename them "hacks". @@annenic1 That's how they used to describe which direction to fold the paper in school. Hot dog way is long and narrow like a hot dog. Hamburger way is more square.
Sooo many times I have cut wrapping paper short and had that little strip left open. Always just cut another piece to fill it in from my scrap paper. Cant believe I never thought of turning it diagonal.
So funny. This exactly is what happened to me with one gift the other day. I measured the paper but I still effed it up lol. That's the way I "fixed" it, cutting another piece and filling it. But I found this video after wrapping the gifts😅
Thank you for sharing Grace's song on your video. I went to her channel and listened to the whole song and it helped me get over something that I've been having a hard time with on top of other things. It almost broke me. Thank you for helping me smile today ☺
Everyone is now watching this last minute cause they don’t know how to wrap and that everyone is me ive been sitting here trying to wrap for 30 minutes now Update 12/23: I still haven’t finished and I’m supposed to give them their gifts today😭
Wrapping presents has always been a point of frustration for me. Outside of the onerous task of shopping, there is nothing I dread more than wrapping gifts. Every year, after lengthy attempts to wrap the first present, I get to the point where I am so agitated that I just want to throw up my hands and put my gifts in holiday decorated gift boxes, and call it a day, but I always relent on taking the easy way out because I know the people I give gifts to seem to appreciate the effort that goes into wrapping, almost as much as the gift inside the box. So I really appreciate you showing us these easy methods. I feel so stupid after seeing this video, where you show us how easy it is to wrap presents so easily, and most importantly to me, in such a quick fashion. Its almost like these ways of wrapping presents were so obvious that they were staring me in the face, but I was too obtuse to see it.
This video pops up on my feed around the same time every year, and I'm so thankful bc I use that first hack every year and then forget it until the next year. 💕😂
I’m watching this on 12/24/22. As you can guess I’m a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to wrapping presents. I’m over here wrapping presents for my parents for tomorrow and I always forget how to wrap them 😂
I wrap with newspaper. Wrapping paper gets thrown away anyway and so does newspaper. So why not wrap with the newspaper? I decorate the newspaper with ribbons and such so it still looks festive. Still cute and eco friendlier
That's a good idea. I've been using tea-towels when possible, and pillow-cases for children, then the special Christmas paper towels inside for small things, as that can all be used again.
Great hacks! For the TP roll, you CAN wrap it with paper, just glue around the tube AFTER you score it but BEFORE you push the ends in (I’d make sure the wrap is completely adhered to the roll). Once you fold the ends in, the paper will do what the tube does☺️
My grandma used to measure the gift and cut the paper according to the measurements (for every gift) . She had the most perfect wrapping ever. But I don’t have that patience.
Great video! I especially love the diagonal wrapping tip. I must admit tho...I'm not fond of putting a gift inside something that's been in anybody's toilet for a good amount of time lol

Or if it can't fit in the box or u can't wrap it u can toss it out in the garbage and say to the person I didn't get u any thing
Omg😂😂
Or just drop the gift in a gift bag and shove tissue paper on top. That's what I always do and see people do these days lol
No I used an imaginary box
Natalie Gray thank youuuu
WOW! mind blown

Marriage & Motherhood Me too! 🤔👏🏽
Marriage & Motherhood ikr I was like holy cow I really need to try the diagonal one
Yeh same here couldn't believe how easy it is
@@shamabegum250 you must not be very smart I smell
If you're struggling wrapping a roundish object it can help to use some thicker paper that doesn't end up a crumbled mess, and then just enjoy the coarse folds on it. (thanks, just needed a refresher on the diagonal wrap)
Of course I get recommended this after Christmas🤦🏻♀️

YAY! So glad!

I have done the curling the paper to make a bow, the toilet paper roll and the pringles jar .. They are all adorable. I also use cereal boxes for small gifts and just wrap them. You can't tell the difference.
It is currently December 1, 2020 at 8 PM. I’m getting this done early early. Now to hide them
Finally found someone in 2020 lol
Last year I did it at Christmas Eve and it was stressful. Ima be early so I can enjoy my Christmas Eve.

The wrapping paper gift bag is actually a tremendous tip! I can buy awkward shaped gifts again!!!
Wrapping was sooo stressful for me, even the present was nice, presentation was bad, and this was so easy to follow. Thank you so much.
Nothing says 'Merry Christmas' like a gift wrapped in a toilet roll tube 🤣
Its a cute idea, a little color spray paint and you have a nice box that can be a pain to try and make from a peice of cardstock.
:)
It'll save $$ too, cardstock can be a little pricey for someone on a budget.
You call yourself CutiePie and then make a super materialistic comment...wow, kid, youre in trouble when your looks go. Hahaha

Great hacks! I especially liked the one with non enough paper. We’ve all been there. It saves paper and the diagonal stripe looks amazing. Well done.
Love the bag made from wrapping paper- it’s kind of like origami...remembering the quality of paper makes a BIG difference 👍🏻
It took me forever to get the size right
i hope in 2019 we collectively redefine the word: 'hack'
UncleT0ny exactly, I hate the term hack especially how people use it for everything!!
I thought to hack always just meant to break into a computer and steal information. Now it means virtually anyway to shorten the time it takes to do anything from wrapping gifts to climbing Mount Everest.
@@davidarbelaez4395 Thanks, i had no idea
@@Micky748-r7u : in my day, we called hacks "tips". Such as 'gift-wrapping tips". I still haven't figured out what was wrong with the word "tips" such that they had to rename them "hacks". (I STILL use the word "tips" because I like the sound of it better. I'm fine with "computer hacking" as a term, but otherwise, I think of a "hacking cough' .....
arx754 How did the term “computer hack/hacker/hacking come to be I always wondered.

You seriously deserve 1 million subs because you explain things so well and good video quality, good camera angles, and beautiful background

When you referred to your folds as “hot dog way” and “hamburger way” I had a grade school flashback lol 😍
Desirae Silvers can you explain. In the UK here and no idea what she was talking about at this point....?
@@annenic1 That's how they used to describe which direction to fold the paper in school. Hot dog way is long and narrow like a hot dog. Hamburger way is more square.
You deserve a medal for this you have made many millions of people's life easier
Great to see wrappers giving back to the community!!
Sooo many times I have cut wrapping paper short and had that little strip left open. Always just cut another piece to fill it in from my scrap paper. Cant believe I never thought of turning it diagonal.
Probably because that wastes even more paper.
So funny. This exactly is what happened to me with one gift the other day. I measured the paper but I still effed it up lol. That's the way I "fixed" it, cutting another piece and filling it. But I found this video after wrapping the gifts😅
Yep....same here

Thank you for sharing Grace's song on your video. I went to her channel and listened to the whole song and it helped me get over something that I've been having a hard time with on top of other things. It almost broke me. Thank you for helping me smile today ☺
You're welcome. Her music is amazing and I'm very happy it was able to help you with some tough times.
I've just made 9 bags, which look great...just need some gifts to put inside them now! 😊🎉

And here we are all back again at this time of the year 🤣
Bring it on. I'll be rocking them Christmas gifts wrapping this year.
My presents are gonna looks so nice just before they get violently ripped apart
So true lol😅🤣😂😄

Love this! I actually almost made this one of my hacks! I think newspaper with a cute ribbon looks adorable!
Use colorful Sunday comics to wrap kids' gifts. And for adults for whimsical gifts. Diane
That's a good idea. I've been using tea-towels when possible, and pillow-cases for children, then the special Christmas paper towels inside for small things, as that can all be used again.
My grandmother used the Sunday comics, I always thought it was adorable!
Melissa Lakin I’ve done that too! If you can get your hands on a foreign language newspaper (like Chinese or Korean), it creates an even cooler look.
17517319 my grandma did the same thing. Every year she would clear the dining room table and get out her table protector, rulers, and measuring tape.
That's so cool!
Really she had a lot of patience 😊
My grandma had her own techniq that worked without any tape. Combined with the special soft wraping-paper she used the same papers for decades.
17517319 christmas used to be so special
Omg! Your tutorial on short cutting the wrapping paper worked! I'm mind blown. 😱
Great video! I especially love the diagonal wrapping tip. I must admit tho...I'm not fond of putting a gift inside something that's been in anybody's toilet for a good amount of time lol
Draya D I was looking for that comment, hah! I'd be a little disgusted if someone put a gift in a used toilet roll for me
You could always use paper towel rolls from the kitchen.
Draya D They also sell empty rolls like this at craft stores for pretty cheap :) i understand what you mean!
Draya D I don't put tp rolls in the toilet. I put them next to the toilet. :D
