Nice video but the Makita is not the top model. The top models are the XDT16, XDT19 , TD172 in that order. The xdt14 you're testing isn't the top 3 torque or speed wise unfortunately.

I'm still going to go DeWalt. It's the one I can best afford. It is highly unlikely I will drop any tool from the height you threw them. At most, 5' if I'm working on my truck or in the house.
I don't care where they're from, reliability and longevity is a win for me. Milwaukee parent company may be Hong Kong based but their manufacturing plants span across different countries like the USA, Vietnam, Germany just to name a few.
