Ricky Bowen its not idiotic at all, your the idiot. As long as you can eat your full daily diet within 8 hours, its much more healthy to intermittent fast
Some things to consider paradigm wise: Maybe forcing the body into putting so much energy into digestion is actually aging us more quickly. The body needs a break. It needs to be allowed to put the foods it digested to use and focus on doing so. Let the brain take on the focus of energy use. Opposite of a food coma. When you eat a ton, you get sleepy. Your body is getting tired from focusing energy on digestion, and your brain goes into “low power mode” so to speak, as the blood supply floods your abdomen. Take a break from eating, and the digestive system can clean itself, relax, and the brain can go back into performance mode. Cycling things in the body so often could be part of what’s aging us. Monks who fast like mad look younger, and learn how to stress less. Their emotionality is reduced, as their addiction to food is more regulated. They can control their mind and body better than anyone as they practice not giving in to cravings of any kind. There’s a reason ancient religions and societies have fasting rituals. Good for the mind, and body.
yes, it's cycling, i don't think you put it that well the body have time to eat and metabolism and there are times for anabolism when you keep it only doing one thing it destroy itself one way to go close to intermittent fasting if you can't do it bc of work or doing sport is only to eat in the day, and at night, no food, or only salads as a muslim we fast one month in ramadhan and basically we split the day in two and we fast the day and eat the night i think it puts the body way more in calories deprivation like this and stimulate defenses modes but alas, most muslim counrties abuse sugars and sweets during that month so kinda counter-productive in the wild, most animals don't eat all day like humans do, they find food and eat for a few days, then feel hunger for a few days and they stay fit because they move and burn all callories and then they have to go into economy mode and their body clean itself
I thought it is very obvious. We digest food to put fat on to survive colder harsher winters. If we stop doing this we should last longer. If we can only use low power in our wiring which is how I see this in analogy form.
Cut out sugar and corn syrup and carbs. All that daily fasting, Brewers yeast and taking the diabetic drug ( ) regulating Blood sugar. When your body has to makes insulin it ages you. So Don't Spike you Blood sugar in the first place.

Aging at the end of the day can't be reversed if one can't deep sleep, lives in a depressive environment, doesn't regularly exercise, proper diet etc. I would also add optimizing serotonin/dopamine levels is the real key to living a happy, focused life. Which in turn helps a person live a longer life.
Yeap - Chronic aka long terms stress (high sustained levels of cortisol) and chronic high blood glucose levels aka insulin resistance are the main things I’ve taken away from all this as to what causes people to age quicker. Basically getting blood work and making sure your hormone levels are good. Insulin is a hormone most people don’t know that.
I had two female friends who did not know each other. Both were 25, and one day they met. Later they each one said to me, " she's only 25? She looks much older." I did not tell them what the other said, but I had to laugh. The one thing they both had in common was 3 children.

@@MontanezMafiaz There is no such thing as Puerto Rican gene to warrant them any special treatment in that regard. They're like any other Latin American people out there. A similar effect for metformin is strenuous physical exercise, as a type 1 diabetic I lower my BG by 30 mins of cardio reaching the max theorical heart rate and weight lifting. That triggers AMP protein kinase that lowers BG by the same pathway as metformin. No insulin required..
That is a wild concept. People do seem to age rapidly at stressful times of their lives and almost not at all when doing things right. Maybe aging is a disease that can be stopped. Not death, just aging.
I’ve been giving NMN’s to my mom for a year since she started showing signs of dementia. We did a baseline study of her recall ability and now she is so much quicker with recall. It really does what he says.
@@donroxitheoverthinker I don’t know about this abbreviation, but if she’s suffering from dementia get her an NAD, and metformin prescription. These can be found online from “life extension” companies. A medical doctor reviews your request, sends it to the pharmacy , and before you know it the medication is on your front door step. Resveratrol in its glucoside form with quercetin to help with absorption can help as well although I personally did not like the feeling it gave me. Glutathione is another antioxidant I enjoy that could help your mother. Besides that a quality multivitamin, good diet, and daily walks will make her feel much younger and give you more quality time with her.
So I’m almost 50, and a dad to 3, and regularly people think I’m in my late 20’s/early 30’s. Yeah I eat well, workout (= lots of variety), don’t abuse my body and have avoided the ‘fast living’ lifestyle even when younger, do some fasting here and there, but tbh there are genetic factors at play as well. My mom looks young and always has. Also, you have to moisturize every day. Very important, the moisturizing part-and a lot cheaper than buying nmn off of the internet. $10 bottle of face lotion lasts for weeks. And always get your sleep since much of the bodies cellular reconstruction work is happening when you’re sleeping.

I have been doing intermittent fasting for about 15 years now. I try to do 36 hour water fasts 3 times a week. More recently, I have started to also do a 3 day / 4 night water fast once a month. The 36 hour fast is no longer difficult for me to endure. The 3 day fast is very hard. I'm 64 years old. I do feel pretty good, my health is very good and my mind is sharp. I probably should exercise more, but I have no trouble running up multiple stairs or walking up a steep hill at a good clip without my breathing getting affected. I am a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in Canada. A couple things about metformin: in diabetics, it should always be started at a low dose (250-500mg once daily to twice daily) due to dose-dependent Gastrointestinal side effects (nausea, diarrhea, upset stomach). So please don’t think that there are “little to no side effects”. The longer you use it, your body becomes more tolerant to the side effects. Also, 1g of metformin a day is a MODERATE dose for a DIABETIC. This is not “microdose”. It is a moderate dose that he is taking, without having diabetes! Yes, there is evidence for other cardiovascular benefits with metformin apart from lowering blood sugar but the line is not clear in evidence who we should and should not use it for without a diabetes diagnosis.
Many years ago. I was prescribed metformin for diabetes. It damaged the liver and I was told to discontinue taking it. All pharmaceutical medication long term have sever side effects. Speaking from experience. I use to be on 21 medications.

I agree with him on Mtor and longevity I have seen multiple studies suggesting the same thing. But I would like to see studies on different species seeing how living in different regions affects our responses to different lifestyles. I've read that the Mediterranean diet or other diets with fruits and vegetables increase lifespan. But I also have read a study on bulgarians with a high dairy and animal diet have the most centurians. Would be interesting if we could get more people working on this.
I have a feeling in 30 years, medical science will look at this and think....":they were recommending we do WHAT??" I wouldn't take this guy's advice personally. I'm not an anti-aging doctor, but I do have a PhD in molecular biology/evolution (and majored in biochem for undergrad). That in no way makes me an expert on his topic, but I have a little perspective at the very least. Most researchers are just as fallible and silly as the rest of us. Especially when it comes to our own mortality. This guy is clearly obsessed with trying to stay/look young. He's eating grams of laboratory isolated powder daily and openly admits to getting stomach reactions as a result. Just treat your body like a hunter gatherer. Exercise in bursts and move dynamically. A bit of fasting is probably good and eat balanced whole fresh foods. Also try be happy or at the very least stimulated. Don't get stuck in your routines, because that's how you atrophy. Meditation, balance... and above all chill the fuck out. This is just my opinion, but I think when the true anti-aging technology comes in, it won't be from taking this or that drug, or supplement. It will come more dramatically and completely. Maybe from the sphere of nanotechnology or we'll just download ourselves as conscious software and live forever in paradise and explore the universe together. Ok, i really gotta go back to work lol.
"Most researchers are just as fallible and silly as the rest of us. Especially when it comes to our own mortality. This guy is clearly obsessed with trying to stay/look young. He's eating grams of laboratory isolated powder daily and openly admits to getting stomach reactions as a result." Important observation, especially to impressionable people like myself (even at age 67!) It's difficult to discern the truth... or, to know the meaning/implications of the truth when you find it... I’d never heard of NMN, so I did a quick Google & read a few links… One article, www.leafscience.org/nad-transporter-identified/ interestingly says: "This new study is an interesting development in the NAD+ story and will no doubt fuel further heated debate, especially among people who want to establish their NAD+ precursors as the superior choice for a dietary supplement." I remember when resveratrol was the supplement Du Jour, then gave way to pomegranate concentrate, acai, etc. Many years ago my family practice doc said I could add Niacin to a prescribed statin to further reduce my cholesterol… he said the lowered cholesterol result would be reasonably predictable, but the eventual health OUTCOME of either/both treatments was not firmly established.
What are you, stupid? Most drugs are based on TESTING, usually on animals first. And if it extends lifespan of animals, it's highly likely that it'll work on humans too. That's SCIENCE.
That was the most sensible comment I’ve read ...eat healthy and exercise minimize stress enjoy life treat people well and let the chips fall where they fall (call it gods plan if u choose)

One of the most promising targets for anti-ageing approaches are proteins belonging to the sirtuin family. Sirtuins were originally discovered as transcription repressors in yeast, however, nowadays they are known to occur in bacteria and eukaryotes (including mammals).
When I studied biomedical science in Melbourne at 2010, my lecturer was telling the class that a professor who studies sirtuin started to ingest sirtuin everyday despite the lack of human clinical trial. Before you go out trying to buy NAD+ or NR which increases NAD. Researchers have found that lots of cancers grow due to NAD and that the lowering of nad helps kill certain cancers. So if you are genetically predisposed to cancer it might not be a good idea to try and increase those levels

At my 260lb body weight, my cardiac lipid panel was immensely clean, as well as my liver and kidneys. They had all been better than when I was in my 20's. There's definitely something to NAD+ and I bet combining it with NMM would create even better results.

David Sinclair is one of the top anti aging scientists and everything he says is the current thinking in this field (btw look at his pictures when young...he looks nearly the same)...the point is to stress the body to keep it young which is exercise, temperature stress, appetite suppression; use of supplements (resveratrol, NAD) to activate your body to remain young; eating right nutrient food, reducing inflammation; and finally good genes...all play a part.

Some things to consider paradigm wise:
Maybe forcing the body into putting so much energy into digestion is actually aging us more quickly.
This is so interesting!!!!!!!!!
yes, it's cycling, i don't think you put it that well
the body have time to eat and metabolism and there are times for anabolism
when you keep it only doing one thing it destroy itself
one way to go close to intermittent fasting if you can't do it bc of work or doing sport
is only to eat in the day, and at night, no food, or only salads
as a muslim we fast one month in ramadhan and basically we split the day in two and we fast the day and eat the night
i think it puts the body way more in calories deprivation like this and stimulate defenses modes
but alas, most muslim counrties abuse sugars and sweets during that month so kinda counter-productive
in the wild, most animals don't eat all day like humans do, they find food and eat for a few days, then feel hunger for a few days
and they stay fit because they move and burn all callories and then they have to go into economy mode and their body clean itself
21sparrow7 - You explained yourself very well. Thank you.
yes! exactly. watch sadhguru
I thought it is very obvious. We digest food to put fat on to survive colder harsher winters. If we stop doing this we should last longer. If we can only use low power in our wiring which is how I see this in analogy form.
Its sugar. It always has been, but people are too in love with it that they make excuses for it. Sugar ages you bad.

I've been aging all my life. Getting pretty good at it.

I believe stress and worry is the two single biggest things that ages a person faster
It sure does.

So you mean instead of metformin its better to take a jog for 30 min?

My biggest takeaway here was the very ominous quote from the doctor: "Aging is not considered a disease...yet." That's a wild concept right there.

Why would he say this knowing millions of people watch this ?

I have a feeling in 30 years, medical science will look at this and think....":they were recommending we do WHAT??"
I wouldn't take this guy's advice personally.
He's eating grams of laboratory isolated powder daily and openly admits to getting stomach reactions as a result."
Important observation, especially to impressionable people like myself (even at age 67!) It's difficult to discern the truth... or, to know the meaning/implications of the truth when you find it...
I’d never heard of NMN, so I did a quick Google & read a few links… One article, www.leafscience.org/nad-transporter-identified/ interestingly says: "This new study is an interesting development in the NAD+ story and will no doubt fuel further heated debate, especially among people who want to establish their NAD+ precursors as the superior choice for a dietary supplement."
I remember when resveratrol was the supplement Du Jour, then gave way to pomegranate concentrate, acai, etc.

*How to not look 50*
Dye hair
Dont smoke
Dont be fat
Have good genetics
Got it.
I'm not sure you know what normie means.
thank you for saving 16:09 minutes
This video is about how to take care of your age, not how to not look 50. Dyeing you're hair at 50 is a sad way to live 😘 "good genetics" lmao get off the computer and go play outside kid damn
Best Of Twitch Be Asian
闇 what are you talking about. Genetics play a massive role. I look at least ten years younger than all my friends and i don’t do anything they don’t do. I don’t necessarily think i have great genetics but my family looks young for their age
But the question is....do you do DMT????
Hehehe I perked up for a minute cuz I thought I heard him say DMT lol
Nutrition "experts" never mention psychedelics or mental health, and that's why their entire field is always wrong 10 years later
HOLY SHIT NEVER HEARD THAT ONE!
@Siyovaxsh En-sipad-zid-ana 😂😂
Don't mind time molecule
I take metformin because I had an ovarian cyst one time lol. Told the gyno that it helps with period cramps and pain from “cysts”. I take it once a day and got a prescription good for a year(which I’ll probably request again). I stopped for a while but started again today.
One thing I’ve noticed when I was taking it regularly is that my skin looks better and i almost always have more energy the days I take it.
My grandfather was eating meat, fast food once in a while, he drunk Alkohol, smoked. Never really diet had a belly but wasn’t really fat. Worked hard his entire life and also enjoyed it to the fullest. He died at 87 years old lol.
Ok….irrelevant.. he would’ve lived longer if he hadn’t done these things probably
Yeah great grandpa and grandma lived well into their 90s and ate meat and didn't do any special dieting or working out. I think most supps have very little to do with your aging process
Joe “forever young, I want to be, forever young. Do you really want to live forever? Forever, and ever” Rogan.
rofl
he should have on dave asprey
I actually LOLed to this one! Well done sir!
Why doesn't Rogan interview real people with knowledge that makes you healthy. We live in a sick society let alone learning how to live longer. The last 40 years have led to a diabetes epidemic and lately an opioid epidemic. Why not someone who has answers? There is. His name is Brian Peskin. Hey Rogan interview Brian Peskin.
Alphaville 1984. Great song. I know cause I played it just this morning.
This guy is giving such cryptic vibes and look at his skin just shining
so he left the Matrix to do an interview with Joe Rogan
😆 🤣
I did something close to this and lost 50 pounds in five months. 220lbs to 170lbs and maintained 170 for 4 months now. Highly recommend this.
How much could this 30 year old possibly know about anti-aging???
He's 50?
Oh...
He looks 50
@@jaspreethobbs1859 well, shit! i look like 70 then
Its just camera tricks, slight makeup and some minor surgeries. He doesn't look young.
We work in this industry and know how they do certain things.
Also we have no idea what his age is in the first place. It could be 28 for all we know.
Trust me, just staying inside and out of the sun and not doing things that stretches your skin, from child birth, weight gain and loss or even running, you will look younger. I’m not sure it’s super healthy, but you can keep the vampire look.
Lol he looks like he’s got some from Botox to limit expression causing wrinkles and fine lines and I’m not sure he has teeTh lol he looks about 45ish. I’m not impressed.
Fawk man... "I'm almost 50" I work with a guy that's 47, overweight, stressed out, and just generally unhealthy--I swear, he looks like almost 60. This fancy-pants looks like he just turned 12! There's a lot to be said for taking care of yourself.
You’re creepy looking af

I really like this comment lol

Joe this was your best video ever.
I aged 10 years just watching this video. Lighten up Francis.
Lol lighten up Francis!! We’re all in this together. One of these men may save your life one of these days!! Then again maybe one of us won’t.
😂😂
Okay, guys! He mentioned: nicotinamide riboside, wine’s resveratrol, and NMN. I haven’t finished the video. But, feel free to list any other helpful tips or products he mentions below!!! Have a beautiful day, you beautiful people!
1 gram of NMN, 0.5 gram of resveratrol and he takes metformin at night 1 gram (prescribed...do what you’ve gotta do).
Skips 1 or 2 meals a day [low carbs, low processed sugar, and not too much meat(limit amount of protein and branch amino acids)], body temperature stresses, exercise often, and intermittent fasting.
Not enough of attention span to finish a 16-minute video that might prolong your life on this earth? Got it, I congratulate your life choices!
@@AlexRmex so if he eats no carbs and little meat, we can assume the diet is mostly vegetables, maybe eggs avocado. What else?
Deciem hv supplement with resveratrol under their brand fountain
Before you go out trying to buy NAD+ or NR which increases NAD. Researchers have found that lots of cancers grow due to NAD and that the lowering of nad helps kill certain cancers. So if you are genetically predisposed to cancer it might not be a good idea to try and increase those levels
Back to square I suppose 😒 lol
I read this guys book, honestly it was brilliant. The book was long but honestly for how long it was, it was really interesting for sure.
You should have him back in the show! It’s been long enough! I’m sure he has more things to share with you!
He's probably reverted into a fetus by now.
Wouldn’t doubt it

Yeah I'm not the only one that caught that...
Westworld will happen ....soon lol
Within fifty years it will be. The youth will be given a choice. Age and deteriorate like your elders or maintain your youth and vitality for as long as you'd like.
Yea right. Well probably be able to teleport by blinking also.

@@ceer001 I can read minds but i'm illiterate
And how many milligrams of mind reading pill do you take? 🤣
I started 250mg NAD+ injections every 3 days for the past 3 months and just did a comprehensive metabolic blood panel. At my 260lb body weight, my cardiac lipid panel was immensely clean, as well as my liver and kidneys. They had all been better than when I was in my 20's. There's definitely something to NAD+ and I bet combining it with NMM would create even better results.
Lmao 260 lb you are screwed anyhow
How much did that cost?
@@lisafleminglmt2205 I buy mine in bulk from a source that I've had lab tested and it comes out to around $4 per ml @ 250mg per ml. Otherwise local longevity clinics charge anywhere from $200 - $400 per injection, which is a total ripoff.
@@FoulNews could you share the lab or website?
@@sigalemirilab4tox, janoshik, and Colmaric will all test supplements. My preference would be in that order. There are many other also but you can spend many thousands getting hplc work done, the above are more affordable
6:50 "Aging isn't a disease, yet"
David talks about his youthful appearance,
Joe Rogan: note taking intensifies...
Whyyyy does no one when talking about joe rogan talk about guests like this? This is free education!!
