Being a Christian does not hinder individuality or free thinking. God literally gifted us with the ability to think freely. There are many parts of The Body of Christ and they are are very different. They all do very different things but they are all of The Body of Christ.

Yes your right in a sense but remember God has given us his word his revelation and his infallible word is authority in the life of a Christian so all Christians are defined by what God has spoken and said in his word so remember every human being is different but the body of Christ is defined, the Christians life, morals, values, beliefs, are defined by the word of God and if someone goes against the word of God or teaches and believes something that God said isn’t true or that isn’t in the Bible then they aren’t of God unless they repent and turn to the truth remember truth has been truth since the dawn of time and it will be truth until the end of time and beyond truth will never be false and all truth is found in the word of God I hope you have a blessed day my brother in Christ I’ll keep you in my prayers

I came to these conclusions by using the wonderful gift of a freely thinking mind that was given to me by God. If you truly love something then you set it free, you allow that something to make its own choices. God wants us to know Him and to put God first always but God loves us enough to allow us to choose, even if it means denying Him.

What's the evidence that view of soft atheism is right? The evidence is that there are no good evidence for existence of God.
What's the evidence that view of hard atheism is right? The evidence is, if we're talking about God's supposed revelations, that God didn't reveal himself in such way that would be understandable to everyone; God didn't do good job in proving himself. Proof for that is that Cliffe needs to prove God, instead of God proving himself.

If we agree, then how does human's lack of ability to explain something prove God? I ask for good evidence for God, I didn't ask can humans explain universe or not.
I read the Bible, many atheists (and people from religions other than Christianity) have read the Bible and found it isn't good evidence nor proof for God. Which shows my claim is true, God's supposed revelation isn't good enough to prove God's existence to everyone.

@@goranmilic442 " It's impossible for humanity to explain existence of universe, since people are unable to explore what caused universe to expand. Can we agree on that? If we agree, then how does human's lack of ability to explain something prove God?"
      .
Cause the lack of ability to explain an event with nature suggests that the event is supernatural- by definition. The existence of the universe can either be:-
      a) created by the Supernatural
      b) created by nature
the latter would put forth a list of problems, 1. it suggests Nature created Nature, which doesn't even answer the question
      2. suggests everything was random, and thus, an accident, and thus, our existence is an accident, and thus, our thought process is an accident, which undermines the credibility of the theory itself.
Thus, the only explanation left is that a Supernatural created existence.
      .
      .
And many aethiests I know have read and STUDIED the Bible and find it convincing evidence and proof for the existence of God.
      .
      .
Also, "Proof for the existence of God" is quite a laughable approach. The entire concept of God is that He is supernatural and exists beyond our human nature by definition. How do you find it competent to restrict a Supernatural's existence to your natural thought process, when He is defined to be above your thought process?
Remember this doesn't apply to your claim because your claim relies on Nature only, and thus, you need to explain everything with Nature. I don't, because my claim relies on the existence of Supernatural.
For a fact, humans have limited knowledge. We have a realm where we know everything, and we have a realm ofwhich we know absolutely nothing about. And we have the inbetween, that links these 2 realms, and that's the Bible and whatever God reveals to us.

What do the following verses suggest to you, for Jesus is saying that his return to earth will happen in the generation of the people to whom he is speaking? Yet, this never happened. Then Apostle Peter said that the prophecy of Joel was currently being fulfilled. This also never happened. So what are we to conclude? Deuteronomy 18:21-22.
      Matthew 16:27-28
27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
      Mark 13:24-30
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
      Matthew 24:29-35
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
      Matthew 10:19-23
19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
      Acts 2:14-20
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
      16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
      Deuteronomy 18:21-22
21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

@@mariobethell3731 The Bible defines a generation as 70-80 years. The fig tree represents Israel. Many, myself included, believe the fig tree coming to fruition is Israel becoming an independent nation, which happened in 1948. We believe that that marked the last generation. In other words, if we are correct, Jesus' return would be some time in 2028 or 2029. If you back off 7 years for the tribulation, that leaves a 2021 (obviously didn't happen) or 2022 rapture. It's very possible we will see the rapture by May 14th (the anniversary of Israel) this year. If not, then then next earliest theory is for some time in 2023 (the anniversary of Israel's government being established).
There are a lot of prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled and Jesus promises to come back and fulfill them.

The quietly spoken student at about 18:00 mins gave an excellent response to how we don't need some type of external moral law giver for a given society to thrive and survive, we're more than capable as a species to figure out for ourselves what works and what doesn't work. We modify our morals over time, eg: why did people stop stoning adulterers, despite what the Bible clearly states : Leviticus (20:10-12) which reads: "If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, even with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and adulteress must be put to death.

Yes, i live in such a European country, Finland, where you have mostly middle class living, very good social security, free universal healthcare, basically no homelessness and even the prisons are more a rehabilitation centers than punishment facilities and i can assure you that all this well being is in great part the result of a deeply rooted message of the Gospel since Luther times into the fabric of people's behavior and governing authorities. Up to 90% of the population has a great respect to the law enforcement and that is because majority of people's hearts are rooted on respecting the law and order, who are willing to pay high taxes just to have such virtues in the country.
Never before in the world, was such message heard as taking care of others, who are not even your close relatives, only with Jesus this message was preaches and welcomed in all Nordic countries and it was welcomed to such a degree that even the flags has a cross on them. So what Finland and other Nordic countries are doing, where they take good care of the poor and the needy is in direct relation to the Gospel.

On the subject. Of the text, the oral tradition of the people involved was to know the material and hear the scrolls at the synogogue.
They committed the information to memory and corrected each other. They went on the Sabbath to hear it read to them just the same as before.
When those first century gospels were written and copied into other languages, the same kind of people with the same kind of careful reverence wrote and kept and copied the info as accurately as they could. Some of the writings of this type show evidence of embellishment and error. This is why they're non canonical and we have the four surviving gospels.
Veritas forum us a good place to hear scholars speak about having viewed the evidence and having the education to read and verify what survived In antiquity.
I think it's so great that people value the truth at such a high level. They devote time and attention to preservation and discussion of the truth.
Other people spend their lives trying to make up their own god instead of the living God. They want their sins and crime to be ok and acceptable.

@@godislove363 OK, so let us look at the mentions of HaSatan (Satan) in the Jewish Tanakh. What does it tell us about this Angel (Malakh or Messenger)? First, when Elohim made everything he said It is good. He did not say, it is good except that Satan fellow. Christianity teaches that we cannot master sin but What does Genesis 4:7 say? "If you do what is right will you not be accepted? But if you do not then sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is to have you, but you can master over it." This is absurd in the Christian tradition. In Christian theology man is a slave to sin John 8:34. We cannot stop sinning without Jesus in the Christian Faith. Next let us Go to Numbers 22. Here we get a deeper understanding of what HaSatan is. He is Sent by Hashem and stands in the path blocking Balaam and his donkey. It calls him here Malakh Yahwey an Angel of the Lord. So this HaSatan is an Angel of Hashem who stands in the way or as an adversary to man. In the Jewish Tradition it is to provide free will to man. As such HaSatan is not the enemy of God, only one who provides temptation for Man. On the Contrary, the Jewish view of HaSatan is that he is a servant of Hashem and only does his will. But let us Look at another of the Bibles Oldest texts, the book of Job, to try and understand this figure. HaSatan goes before the presence of Hashem (which nothing unholy was allowed in Hashems Presence). HaSatan and Hashem discuss Job and his righteousness. Hashem gives certain commands to HaSatan and HaSatan strictly obeys his commands. I find that a peculiar rebellious angel who only is obedient to every last word of Hashem. Not in any point did he rebel here but was rather obedient and since in the Christian conception he is unholy then How is Satan in the Presence of the Divine which Torah teaches us clearly that the Unclean and unholy cannot be allowed in his Presence. Or again, we see in one Story that God moved David to count the people (which is strictly forbidden by Torah in Numbers), and in another version of the same story Satan moved David to count the people. Who did it? Was it God or Satan? This is a problem for the Christian conception of Satan. However if we are to understand the Jewish conception then it is easy to understand. God working through Satan tempted David. Oh but God cannot be tempted nor does he tempt people. That is what your New Testament says, sure. But Let us not forget it also says God does not lie yet we see in Tanakh that God sends a lying spirit into the mouth of his prophets. Again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, over, and over, and over, and over, etc... we see a very reoccurring theme. The New Testament does not line up with Tanakh. HaSatan in Tanakh is not a rebellious angel but one who is obedient, He is not the Enemy of God but the Adversary of Man providing temptation, is not fallen but remains in the presence of Hashem, is not unholy (as he could not enter Gods Presence) but rather is capable of entering the presence of the Holy one. The question you should really ask yourself is why does my bible fly in the face of what the church teaches me? They cannot both be true, either the bible is false or the church is lying to you. I have given you chapter and verse figure it out for yourself. Either you obey the Scriptures or you obey the church, your choice.

In the Sainte Chapel of Paris there is the crown of thorns worn by Our Lord, that St. Louis, King of France, brought back from the Crusades. In the cathedral of Valencia, Spain, there is what many believe to be the Holy Grail of the Last Supper. That's just a few of the most significant relics.
But the most astonishing object of all, often called "the fifth Gospel", is the holy shroud of Turin. It tells us a detailed story of Our Lord's Passion, death and resurrection.

One thing i seen in one of Cliffe's other videos where he actually contradicts the Bible is where he said that the earth could possibly be billions of years old, and that the genealogies in Genesis could mean grandsons and great grandsons. That is literally against what the Bible clearly teaches. Genesis 10 clearly states each man and his son and the age that he was when he begat his son. It is very literal. Jesus Christ said Adam and Eve were the beginning. Evolution would put death before sin, but the Bible clearly states sin brought death into the world. Man is appointed 7000 years. A day with the Lord is as a thousand years, 1000 years as one day. In 6 days God created earth and heaven and everything in it. On the 7th day He rested. If the ages in the Bible add up to 4000 years until the Lord Jesus Christ, plus the 2000 years since the Lord Jesus Christ, equals 6000 years, and 1000 years for the millennial reign of the Lord Jesus Christ's return to the earth and destroys the antichrist. After the millennial reign, this heaven and earth, death and hell, are cast into the lake of fire and perish, and the new heaven and new earth come down as a bride adorned for her husband. 7 is the number for completion, 7000 years, 8 is the number for new beginnings, 8000th year. Man lived with dinosaurs. Fossils are evidence of the flood and proof for God's judgment. Reptiles don't stop growing, the climate and conditions in the earth were much more different before the flood. So if man and everything is living for 900 years how big could they get? There are still dinosaurs in some remote areas today. What do you think loch ness monster is?

Because if they admit that there is a God up there, the question would be, "Why don't you live as if God exists?" . Their whole life would be turned upside down if they recognized that God exists, so they would rather adopt any other theory. And it's easier to adopt a theory than to change your entire lifestyle. 10:33... Stupidest argument for Jesus I have ever heard. "Within 150 years of Tiberius death 10 people wrote about him and 42 wrote about Jesus". What's that supposed to prove? Harry Potter books are more popular than a biography of Abraham Lincoln. Which of them was real though?

    • @nabukwe
      @nabukwe 3 ปีที่แล้ว

It's one argument, an argument for the historicity of the space-time individual known as Jesus. And it's not meant to "prove" anything. To prove means to show it cannot be another way. Rather, a great deal of evidence pointing to the historicity of an individual lends credence to the idea that that person existed. Harry Potter is fiction and is classified as fiction. The author, J.K. Rowling, even says it's fiction. The New Testament Gospels are written as non-fiction and first person / eye-witness reportage. So we have to read a document taking into consideration its literary genre. That helps determine whether a document from antiquity is myth, fable, narrative, etc.

@@nabukwe There was no such thing as "literary genre" in ancient literature. Writers rolled in stories, myths and fables with historically true material. That's why places like Nazareth and Bethlehem are mentioned. It's also why real historical figures like Herod the Great and Pontius Pilate are mentioned. There is NO "first person/eye witness" reportage in the gospels. There does not exist one scrap of testimony from anyone who ever knew Jesus. This does not prove that he did not exist of course. But to believe that the Jesus of the gospels is an accurate representation of the historical figure that we know next to nothing about is a faith based position, not one based on history.

    • @Malhaloc
      @Malhaloc 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @colinmatts
      @colinmatts 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Malhaloc Okay, so let me put it this way. There is more written about King Arthur than about any actual king of ancient Britain. Does that mean King Arthur existed? There's more written about Sherlock Holmes than any real detective. Did Sherlock Holmes exist? There is more written about Robin Hood than any other known outlaw in medieval England. It still doesn't mean Robin Hood existed. In the case of King Arthur and Robin Hood, people did really believe they existed. Now, let's take a real figure from the past. The infamous Victorian serial killer, Jack the Ripper. He was real. He killed at least five women. But in the hundred and thirty odd years since he was around, numerous fictional accounts of his deeds have been written. They are all based on the real killer. But few, if any, accounts really tell us anything about him. Same goes for Jesus. I am not saying he didn't exist. I am saying that the gospels can in no way be considered a reliable account of his life. Especially when they include stories of miracles and a resurrection
