Isaiah 53 verse 5 (Torah): But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
I saw a video of someone showing these verses that allude to Christ in the Old Testament to Jews in Israel. They all were asked what testament they believed these were from. All of them said they are from the New Testament because they are talking about Jesus. None of them knew they were in the Old Testament. It's amazing to me how many Jews don't know their own scriptures
This is definitely not about Jesus. This is about Israel. Please read the context of 2nd Isaiah and realize that the person who wrote that section of Isaiah was talking about the servant being ISRAEL.
@@twiisterplays5645 again quit running from the context and read Isaiah 41:8 44:1 45:4 and so on and in between until 53. It clearly defines who this servant is. Why are y’all trying to squeeze Jesus in there??? 53 is talking about a man just as much as the rest of 2nd Isaiah is relating to Israel as a man (the servant). Don’t disrespect God. There are other verses in the OT that clearly define the marriage aspect between Israel and God (Ezekiel 1:1-4 Hosea 2:19 and others). It’s about the COVENANT and PROMISE god made to Israel and Israel made to God.

Also note that Cliffe and Stuart are in the ministry field, not the Christian scholar fields, there are many apologetics focused scholars out there. Even if they did not get through this does not mean some questions cant be answered thru Christianity
Christianity or our Lord Jesus Christ is not about materialism or things of the flesh. He is all about the divine moral intelligence and truth of God, as he tells us in his gospels: "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" John 4:24 There is more to this life than just the materialistic world, there is the spiritual/emotional world of morality, and what we consider to be sacred and divine. What do we perceive as sacred? Ourselves? Our family? Other people? Do we consider the moral actions of particular individuals as divine or mundane? Only our Lord Jesus Christ can answer these questions ✝️
"At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him." Matthew 11:25-27 "And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth." John 9:39-41 "Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." 2 Corinthians 4:1-6
What a wonderful respectful interview, well done! Great questions Eli! And it's impressive how you've remained impartial, despite your own religion, when asking questions. Furthermore I'd like to add that not every christian believes that people will go to hell eternally, or the eternal fire which is described. I personally think the eternal burning in hell is fabricated by the catholic church of old to scare people as I cannot find it in the Bible as I read through it. I can see how people can believe it, but then you have to focus on a specific verse, but not in the context of the bible. Read Revelation 22 To further back that up Jesus died to save the whole world. The difference is your wages. The wages of sin is death. So when you believe in Jesus you are reborn thanks to him dying on the cross. He died for our sins, so we don't have to pay the price of our sins. We are blessed. (Revelation 22:14) So we are exempt from the Second death. The people who do not believe and are mixed in with the goats (Matthew 25:31-46) will go to the fire and pay for their own sins which is the second death (Revelation 21:8). Though as is clearly stated, death will be defeated so if any stay dead then death will have won. So what happens to these people? It says so in Revelation 22. What is also said in Revelation 22:17 is: The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. Shows free will once again. Jesus also had a parable about the unforgiving servant (Matthew 18:21-35). In the end the unforgiving servant was sent to prison and had to sit out his sentance UNTIL he payed back all he owed. (Matthew 18:34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.) Not eternally. So again what happens after?
The jewish faith has many traditions enshrined within in that make it as much of a culture as it is a religion. For example, many jews, even ones who dont follow most of the rules or pray, still celebrate hannukah because of the cultural aspect, not so much because of the actual rabbinical commandment of lighting the menorah. They want to be connected to their ancestors and their parents likely did the same, so they continue the tradition. That has been my experience at least. It isnt so different than any other culture that practices tradition for the sake of tradition, and not for the sake of following god’s commandments. Also some people do believe in judaism but just dont want to follow all the rules because there are so many of them 😅. Also, questioning your faith or struggling eith it is not the same as not believing in it.
I hope this man reads the Bible I’ve listened to cliff and his son answer these same questions before multiple times and hope they have a second interview to dig deeper. I hope he does his research for a second interview.
I hope and pray that the subject of salvation only thru Jesus Christ gets to Eli because it’s God’s joy for the Jews, the chosen people and apple of His eye, to comeback to Him. Now, it seemed like they put the laws put higher than the Giver. Let’s all pray for them, my dear brethren. 🤍
Psalm 22 is actually not a Messianic chapter; it's a lament written by David about his own life. We have mechanisms in place to determine which verses are Messianic and which are not. Psalm 22 does not fit into the Messianic or prophetic criteria.
@@sometimesifeellonely Psalm 22 isn't prophetic? That's absurd. Not only is it prophetic regarding the messiah, clearly, it's also prophetic in regards to Esther. Saying the word "actually" won't make what you say true. Stick to the scripture. Fortunately for the world, a select few don't get to decide that the words are confusing when they clearly aren't. There's no need to confuse it. It's crystal clear. No, it's not about David lamenting. It's about the Messiah, Yeshua.
The easiest way to understand what happened 2000 yrs ago is to mention the fact that God says what He means and He said in Lev 17.11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.... This statement turned out to be literal. Jesus volunteered his sinless 24 count chromosome blood on the alter. His blood sits even today on the mercy seat of the ark of the covenant. God didn't change... The rules didn't change... There is simply atonement for our sin active today. It won't be there forever though. There is a reason animal sacrifice will be reinstated in the millennial reign as described in Ezekiel. God has done something so kind and so beautiful. How can we not fall in love and seek to please Him?
I love Cliffe and I understand why he said "the Jews did not kill Jesus" but that "we all did." However, he is missing a huge aspect of the Biblical story. And to claim that Paul did not say the Jews killed Jesus is 100% false. Paul writes: "For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews, who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out." 1 Thessalonians 2:15 There is no question that the Jews were responsible for the death of their Messiah, though the Romans carried out the execution. It was the Jews who brought the case against him, and demanded his death just as they had killed the prophets (Acts 7:51-52). Yes, on a philosophical level Cliffe is correct - it was human beings who did it (or essentially, you and I) however, the NT makes it very clear the importance to the story that his own Jewish people, who God chose, brought the case against him and demanded his death. This is a strong point that is stressed throughout the NT. The reason this fact is important is because it sets up their future redemption. The New Testament tells us that the Jews will redeem themselves during the upcoming Tribulation, by rejecting the Antichrist at the end of the Tribulation, and then will turn to God and receive Yeshua as their Messiah. So, the fact that the Jews killed their Messiah is actually very important to the historical narrative and the future. Their upcoming redemption will make it full circle, as God's chosen people, the Olive Tree.
Nobody goes to hell for not believing in Jesus. People go to hell for breaking God’s law. When you and I break God’s law, the Bible calls that sin, and because God is a just God, there is a punishment for sin. Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. That means that you and me, and everyone reading this has sinned, and we are each guilty before our Creator, God, who is holy and just. Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages (or the payment, or what we earn) for our sin, is death. However the gift of God, whom you and I have sinned against, is eternal life through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, who took all of the guilt, blame, and punishment for your sin and my sin on the cross, and paid our debt in full. Because Jesus Christ is God incarnate, which means He is fully God and fully man, and because He was without sin, only He could pay the infinite price for our sin. Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and rose again 3 days later, in victory over sin, death, and hell. God now offers you and everyone reading this the eternal, sinless, righteous, justified life of Jesus Christ Himself, and you can receive that gift through simple faith. Faith looks like transferring your dependence from yourself, or from your own religion, or from your works, or from your intellect, to Jesus Christ alone to save you. It’s not enough just to believe about Jesus, but to believe ON Jesus Christ to save you. Through faith in Jesus Christ we can receive the gift of His own eternal, righteous life literally in us, spiritually. When you put your faith in Jesus Christ, the righteousness of Jesus Christ is credited to your account, and you receive the literal life of Jesus Christ, according to Romans 6. Revelation 20:11-15 tells us that Jesus Christ will judge all of the dead, and that those who have not, by faith, received the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, will receive the punishment they deserved for breaking God’s law, which is eternity in the lake of fire, called hell. To reject Jesus Christ is to reject life Himself. Do you believe this?
See the biggest problem here is that people are distracted with life luxury and comfort it's important to point out loud that we the people who has truthfuly experience God Lord Jesus Christ are experiencing God trough tribulation but choosing to seek God, and becoming to see that Jesús Christ of Nazareth 🌟 is the only connection to the Living God
@ I’m antiochian orthodox . We put all orthodox Christians together; for we are pretty much the same. So, when they said that, I was like “hooooollld up there fella”, they aren’t orthodox.
@thrandulfthegreen you have to be joking... Orthodox simply means "conforming to what is generally or traditionally accepted as right or true; established and approved." So they're saying they hold to the standard protestant beliefs. You know the word "orthodox" exists in contexts interested to the Eastern Orthodox Church, right? 🤦
Definition of orthodox - "conforming to what is generally or traditionally accepted as right or true; established and approved." They're holding to the standard protestant views. That's all that is meant by "orthodox." It's not that difficult, people
Why are people "worried" about going to hell? Hell is just absence of YeHoVaH. People who dont believe in a Creator should be glad that they no longer have to listen to people talk about a Creator.
That is a very superficial way to describe it. If you were to dive into what they teach in their Holy books you’ll see modern judaism isn’t following the Tanakh, thats why its called rabbinic judaism today. Christianity should actually be judaism because we follow the Messiah talked about in the jewish scriptures. And the quran contradicts Jesus New testament, and the Tanakh by saying they were all wrong, God is not a Father, you are his slaves, and Jesus didn’t die, pelple were just decieved by allah. Which is pretty obvious its a lie, any historian can prive its a lie. the only way you would believe the claim from the quran is if you grew up on it.
The Tanakh showed the problem with sin and the prophets prophecied about God coming to Earth and solving it. So in the New Testament, God comes down, incarnates and is born with the name Jesus which means “God with us” and payed for the sin of the world and resurrected on the third day. The quran, comes 600 years after Jesus and then claims Jesus never died (contradicting every witness), confirms in their texts that the bible is reliable but then their hadiths, which come another 200 years later claim the bible isn’t reliable (because they know the bible contradicts the quran). All in All islam is false and Christianity is true. If judaism is true, then christianity is true.
@@marcocortes9968 You know, you made me realise something, Emmanuel, which is referring to the Messiah means God with us, it is the Second Coming, distinct from the First Coming in which Jesus' name means God saves. That could have happened all at once 2000 years ago but it was then postponed. So even the Old Testament refers to God coming down not only as Spirit but in human form as the Messiah.
No… you will know in the scriptural narrative if Jesus is speaking a metaphor or a literal statement, or if Jesus is doing a literal action. When Jesus was casting out demons, it was a literal action. You shouldn’t therefore interpret it otherwise… you’re doing intellectual dishonesty to the text.
These 2 Christians are brain washed, when asked a question they never answer directly but just preach their often repeated well rehearsed speeches. They're sincere but so wrong
I love Cliffe and Stuart but they almost always deflect the question of geography, of why people from different regions are more or less likely to be put into families that believe or don't believe, significantly impacting whether or not they'll believe. You can't narrow it down to the genetic fallacy because that's not the point. The point is that God wants all people to be saved supposedly, but then why does He allow people to be born in situations where they're much less likely to believe when it's obvious that He allows many to be born in situations where they will?
Some won’t believe no matter where they’re born. Why would God waste that chance for someone who will, and give it to someone who won’t? Let God be right, even if it makes every man a liar
He also allows a person to strike another. It's free will. There are consequences to free will. And sometimes there are generational consequences to free will. However, this doesn't mean all those who don't believe in God or christ are to go to hell. There are many who never heard of christ or even God at times who will be in heaven. Specifically those who didn't know Jesus who were born before him will be in heaven. Such Rahab, Abraham, Moses, etc. God judges fairly, justly, and equally. He said to his followers, blessed are those who have seen and heard and now believe, but also and possibly more blessed are those who believe and not seen nor heard from or even of Jesus and therefore God. Those who died before their first breath. Those who died heavily afflicted by mental illness will be judged fairly. I think those that never had a free will of their own due to mental illness will be in heaven. I think that is corroborated by what Jesus said.
Ok, this is one of the main objection some non-believers raise. I do not know what you believe so, in general, here is my answer to your point, 1) Children under the age of accountability, which is probably teenager years, if they die, they go to heaven no matter where they live. 2) The mentally disabled go to heaven 3) Tribes who never heard the Good News, go to heaven in some form or another. That said, if you are sincere in your quest - hence after this explanation you shouldn't bring up this objection anymore but another maybe - it is more likely that a Muslim comes to Christ than an atheist in 21th century USA. Why? Because they all have a Jesus in their Scripture. In Hinduism, He is a God. Why not studying the historicity of Jesus compared to all the other mythological gods? In Islam He is born of a virgin, He is the Spirit and the Word of God: He is eternal - did you know that? How can a "prophet" be eternal but He is not God? Beats me! As for the Jews, He was prophesied to come as the Messiah over and over again. Therefore, God manifests Himself to anyone who is really searching for Him, no matter where one lives. It is especially easier to come to know the God of the Bible in an area of war or oppression or persecution because people search for God to be deliver. In reality, it is much more difficult for a Roman Catholic to be saved than for others because Catholicism is close to the truth but it is still not right. Capisce? If you look at a map of the world, you will notice that the gospel went out to all nations. The nations who had Christianity or the Bible there but not anymore, were taken over by Islam mostly. They had the truth all along for centuries. Even In Protestant USA, many Protestants add works to grace which send people to hell. The truth is that people are not looking for God, that is also confirmed by the Bible. In short, no one is more advantaged because ... drum rolls ... ALL religions are wrong.
@@Sergedb74 I'm actually a Christian lol Two things, I like playing devil's advocate to test logic. First, I don't accept bad arguments just because they support my beliefs (not saying yours was bad, just saying the argument I was addressing before was a bad one). And second, I don't believe in the traditional ideas of Hell. The church's views on Hell were different and varied from what ours is today until Augustine came along and made mainstream the idea of eternal conscious torment, based on his Latin translation of the Bible which in some places didn't translate from the Greek very well including the Hell texts.
@@GaliscesGaming My question would be, how do you know you are a Christian? You mention Augustine, usually Catholics or Reformers mention the Church Fathers a lot. Yes, there are various interpretation of Hell. You see, there is so much we don't know. For example, it is possible that there are two types of humans on earth. Did you know that? This comes from the Genesis account. Perhaps some people are unredeemable meaning that their Father is the Devil, not only spiritual... Have I raised your curiosity? We must believe what God tells us, not Church Fathers; they contradict each others and at times, themselves too. I believe that Hell or Lake of Fire exists, we have a clear example in the gospel of Luke. Will Hell be eternal? That, I don't know but it is very possible. Or in other words, why risk it? Always remember that God is perfect and holy in his judgements. I also believe that there are levels in Hell. Some just get bored, others suffer. Hell would be living forever in Hawaii, if you ask me. It is the separation from God which is terrible. Again, the only belief which saved is by grace alone. That is why, true Christianity is not a religion. In religion one has to do something repeatedly to gain entrance to Heaven. Instead, going to church or not, does not change a thing in regard to salvation. So, in your interpretations, what are the steps to be saved biblically?
Cliffe, this is coming from a fan. Stop saying stuff like without Hell, evil and injustice win. That is not true in the slightest. All sins that we commit are temporal. Even Hitler's sins were temporal. Doesn't mean that he deserves no punishment, but no one deserves a literal eternity of punishment. Decades? Centuries? Millenia? I have no idea. Other than to say it's not zero, and it's not infinite.
I would argue (as does the Bible) that it is completely just for eternal separation from God should that be true for one who has in the personal life wanted separation from God, either with sin or willful defiance/ignorance. If one spends their whole life trying to evade God and the responsibility of the potential towards receiving the free gift of salvation, why should they be brought to God to live with Him for eternity? If the whole life is spent and wanted to be spent seperate from God, then their actions have spoken for them, because they have spent their time in the honest pursuit of their pleasures/gratification that do not glorify God in the heart, mind and soul. Eternal justice and eternal mercy are met at the judgment of the Lord. No one is without excuse before Him; how that works out for those who have literally never heard the Gospel preached I do not know, but I trust in God that He will enact His mercy and justice rightly, justly, and holy. The mission is to bring the Good News to every people's, so that there can be only two: the faithful and the unfaithful.
@@ChristianVigilance You can never with logic defend the idea that any temporal action requires eternal punishment. You can't with Scripture either unless you use verses that haven't been translated to English very well.
Eli Hassel. With all due respect. Were you at any point convinced by these two gentlemen about the Christian faith? especially about the doctrine of hell? I personally think they are good at talking, but the content of the conversations is in no way convincing. He said that hell had to exist for there to be justice? What is so just about being tortured in hellfire for not believing in Jesus as the Messiah? Is it really such a crime? This is so irrational and illogical on every level.
If you really do no want to be tortured by hellfire for eternity, is it really so difficult to accept Christ as the Messiah, it’s such a small and simple task with such a large reward yet you treat it like it’s sacrificing YOUR only son in order to be saved.

They ( Cliffe and Stuart) should talk to an actual Rabbi. They should tell their argument to a Rabbi, and they will be educated on what the Tanakh actually says.

Christianity or our Lord Jesus Christ is not about materialism or things of the flesh. He is all about the divine moral intelligence and truth of God, as he tells us in his gospels: "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" John 4:24
There is more to this life than just the materialistic world, there is the spiritual/emotional world of morality, and what we consider to be sacred and divine.
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him." Matthew 11:25-27
"And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth." John 9:39-41
"Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
Read Revelation 22
To further back that up Jesus died to save the whole world. The difference is your wages. The wages of sin is death. So when you believe in Jesus you are reborn thanks to him dying on the cross. He died for our sins, so we don't have to pay the price of our sins. We are blessed. (Revelation 22:14)
So we are exempt from the Second death.
So again what happens after?
i never get it when people continue practicing their faith when they don't believe it like eli does.

Just read psalm 22
The easiest way to understand what happened 2000 yrs ago is to mention the fact that God says what He means and He said in Lev 17.11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul....
Jesus christ is god
I love Cliffe and I understand why he said "the Jews did not kill Jesus" but that "we all did." However, he is missing a huge aspect of the Biblical story. And to claim that Paul did not say the Jews killed Jesus is 100% false. Paul writes: "For you suffered the same things from your own countrymen as they did from the Jews, who killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out." 1 Thessalonians 2:15
There is no question that the Jews were responsible for the death of their Messiah, though the Romans carried out the execution.

@@marcocortes9968thank you because he basically said all are from God while there all different. Made it multiple choice. Absolutely ridiculous.
Celebrate yeshua. Warship god.
I have had profound proof of Christ
The Talmud doesn't speak of Jesus as a miracle worker.
The Talmud isn’t Gods word. The Talmud disgraces Christ and he warns of the punishment of that in the Bible.
I do not know what you believe so, in general, here is my answer to your point,
1) Children under the age of accountability, which is probably teenager years, if they die, they go to heaven no matter where they live.
2) The mentally disabled go to heaven
3) Tribes who never heard the Good News, go to heaven in some form or another.
Therefore,
God manifests Himself to anyone who is really searching for Him, no matter where one lives.
So, in your interpretations, what are the steps to be saved biblically?
these commentsd are wehats wrong with people tday ther eis nothign wrong with believing as an athiest
Uhhh, no bud.
@erikortega117 why do you deny the mission of the Christian is to evangelize the world?
