Replace timing belt and tension roller Volvo 240, 740 and 940 Part 1

    In this video we change the cam belt and also the tension roller. Moving the spring from the old tensioning roller to the new one can be a small challenge. replace intervals on the belt to the Volvo 740 are every 8,000 miles or every 4 years dependent which comes first.
    There is a special tool with article number 999 5284 which can make it easier to remove the bolt that holds the pulley on the crankshaft. If you do not have access to this tool, you can try a nut switch.
    On this Volvo 740 model with B230F engine, we do not need to follow the marking on the drive to the oil pump, this marking applies only to models that have block distributors.
    The cam belt and the tension roller in the video are of the CONTITECH brand and have article number CT643K1.

    DEt går uträrkt att trycka ihop spännrullen men handkraft och så ber man någon sätta in spiken.

    Hi from Canada. I need some advice on removing the crankshaft pulley on my B230F. I have removed the bolt and washer but the pulley will not come off of the crankshaft. I have tried wiggling/walking it off and it won't budge. I have even tried gently prying it off with a pry bar and lightly tapping with a hammer and it just wont loosen on the shaft. Any suggestions? Thanks.

      @Knugen49 Here's a tip. Instead of using a hammer try using a small sledge. It will come off quicker and easier.

    Lite jobbigt att skruva ljudet upp och ner för att slippa musikpålägget sedan upp för att höra speakerrösten. Lite onödigt.
