Just some quick info, the Rhino Ramps max has a 16k lbs weight limit, compared to the regular which has the 12k lbs weight limit. Sorry for any confusion
I think to be safe, you should use jack stands as well. Can't be too safe.

I agree. Takes like 30 seconds to add a pair of stands. If you have stands anyway, redundancy to safety is a no brainer.
In my opinion, having jack stand underneath the car while on a ramp will "make you feeling" safe yet unless the stands have some pressure on them (from the weight of the car) otherwise, if the ramp does fall apart (chance of both ramps fall apart at the same time is very slim) while there is a gap between the stand & the car that will tilt & push the sand aside, not only not catching the car but also likely to cause more damage to the chassis. So, my point is, to be safe having jack stands in addition to the ramps, best to raise the vehicle slightly then lower/rest partial weight of the car on the stands so if one of the ramps crack/crumbles, the car will rest/be supported the the stand.

ProTip on using these: You can brace bricks, rocks, or heavy objects at the end of the ramps to stabilize them from sliding before driving over them. You can even put bricks under the ramps if it helps ease your mind, since the ramps have hollow conclaves underneath.

i put a towel underneath, they don't slide that way, especially when u drive up unto them.
That happen to me. I went over the regular weight rams and broke them, good thing I bought them at advance auto zone and was within 30 day mark. I got a replacement
In my opinion, the safest and the most reliable ramp is still by making my own with 2x10s which I can cut to specific length for each step/layer (stacked/sandwiched them with bolts) to accommodate vehicles with low clearance all the way to heavy weight large SUVs etc. in hot and/or freezing days without worrying about the ramp polymer cracking or falling apart at any time (costs ~$35 in material plus an hour of DIY time). Oh! also, never need to worry about the 2x10 wood home made ramp gets pushed at all... drives right on to them.

I have the lighter duty ones. They work well. I always use jack stands just in case as it only takes 30 seconds to toss them under the frame.
It’s good to put jackstands under the car after lifting it for safety reasons

I use 4 ramps + 4 jackstands underneath for safety feeling. Took another min to set up the jackstands but they are well worth it.

Aren’t you supposed to use jack stands as a back up incase the ramps fail?
Why did they design the ramps with the big split in the end just looking at that big split gives me the wooleys because it looks like they are about to split into.
I saw those ramps in an auto parts store yesterday. I think I'll stick with my solid oak wooden ramps I've been using for 30 years. They are heavy but very very strong and very very safe. I'd sleep under a truck that is up on my ramps.

My issue with these ramps is that they slide on my concrete floor in my garage. I put some non slip rubber car mats under them and solved the problem. I like them alot
Yea they technically shouldn’t due to the rubber under the ramps, but i may be something that rhino ramps still needs to work on
What is the drain pan/container being used at 3:40? Do you recommend it over just a typical 3-5 gallon pan and transferring oil to another container?
Looks like a hypertough 16quart pan. U can find em at walmart for abt $10 each
There's a guy on TH-cam with the Rhino ramps had adapter with wood that you put on the ramps. For the Rhino ramps for lowered Vehicles so he can drive their vehicles up with the wood that a touch and put onto the ramps
I’ve seen it and idk, I understand that people think these may be sketchy but the wood on top of the ramps may be pushin it lol
Just curious, but would buying four, one for each tire be preferable so the vehicle stays level? Nice vid!
Id say it truly depends on whether you are trying to find the most efficient way or you really would want to be a perfectionist. If you typically know the amount of oil that your car contains during an oil change then just the 2 should be ideal. Usually when im not to sure of the exact measurement ill fill the oil up to the proper dip stick line, drive the car down the ramps quick enough, and the get the proper level.
Put wooden blocks or bricks behind the back wheels for extra safety.
My driveway is slanted and not flat... Will these work in a slanted driveway? I just get so nervous because they're plastic and look so hollow. What's with that middle split too? They look like they going to split apart 💀.
i don't blame you, as far as that slanted driveway goes, my driveway isn't perfect but the best i can say is that Ive had these for 2 years at this point and they haven't failed me. Ive even left my truck on these for a whole day and it showed no signs of splitting what so ever. My best advice would be to do what ever is comfy for you, last thing you need is to second guess your own gut. Hope this helps
They have steel ones much safer than plastic since plastic for same price.
Is there a way of telling which are which as far as weight goes? I bought some of Facebook and don’t know which ones I have.
I’m not so sure, but I would assume there would be some kind of part number in the ramps maybe in the bottom that way you are able to check

Do ramps help the vehicle drain more oil than on level ground?
There’s a good chance that it may, considering that you’ll have the front of the vehicle raised higher compared to a leveled surface, but I have never tested it so this could be a little nice experiment

Good info in the video! I'd also recommend using some wheel chocks as extra protection when using the ramps too.
I bought a pair of ramps for my 98 GT to do maintenance on and they work great. Never had them crack or slip in the year that over owned them, never overloaded them and they're still doing their job. I'll definitely buy more when these get worn out.
Only a few times have mine tilted when going up but only slightly because my driveway is uneven, definitely recommend using as smooth of a surface as possible.

What about all four wheel even for transmission refill or flush
me personally, id go up the ramps with the front end, put a wheel chock on the rear for the front tire and the jack the rear end up, its worked out for me on the flush i did on my mustang

Yeah it barely fits. I use it Honda Civic 2016 and Honda accord 2018
Depends on the car, for me the lowered cars I have wasn’t much of a success

Wondering if you or anyone else in the comments can help answer this:
With the vehicle being at a tilt, it won't (or I should say can't), drain completely, I don't think there is any way for it to drain completely if the vehicle is at an angle. So will that old/used oil be a problem down the line, being mixed in with the new oil? I know not immediately but do you (or anyone here) know about the long term?

If someone else would like to confirm for me, but typically to try to get all the oil out, sometimes when the oil is completely drained and I have not installed the drain plug yet, I would put an extra quart of oil through the engine so that some of the left over old oil can completely find its way out.

i here you on that, but believe it or not, I've been using this for about a 2 years now and it still holds up with no problems.
definitely saves me some time for oil changes and what not.

Nah i most definitely put cinder blocks in front of the ramps to keep them from moving. No way i am sliding around on a pos plastic with my car off the ground
For me, they slide going up the ramps and or I end up pushing them forward. 2 things, #1 needs a larger rubber footing to decrease sliding and #2 they need to be WIDER. If you dont have a flat surface to work with don't waste your time or money.
having a flat surface truly does help, but i do agree with you with the rubber footing, mine wore out pretty quickly

No way I’d trust a 10 yr old pair of plastic ramps. Plastic dries out with age and become brittle. Make a pair out of wood or buy metal ones.

These rhino ramps are trash. My uncle has the old version, that has no cuts in the middle(basically what the reviews call the weak spot of these ramps). The old one was a grey solid piece. It’s similar to the harbor freight ramps, which is the one I recommend.

hi, stupid questiokn for you. can I use them to rise one side of a vehicle? (want to install running board on one side of the car and then raise the other side to install on the other side)
I wouldn't and thats mainly due to the possible flex you can cause to the car by goin up just one side of ramps
