I followed this video to change my friends heat exchanger as I'm a installer I haven't got much experience working on fixing boilers, helped me out massively 👍

Thx Man, nice refresher.Haven't done in 2 years. For others, last time i sprayed Wd40 on the seal on the top of the old exchanger to pull out easily.

Yes mate, this is going to be massive help. I'm a few weeks into being out on my own doing service and repairs and I have one of these to do tomorrow. Cheers geez.

If the waterways within this heat exchanger are blocked can you clean them better by taking it off? Somebody told me you could even try to pressure wash it

Are there the holes at the top to put the chemical in case of blockage?

Sorry, my mum has no heating and its a Valliant boiler with a F2 error code. We were led to believe this is to do with limescale build up. Is this correct?

Always fit a new H/EX to flue elbow rubber seal as the existing one will probably be past it's sell by date.
