      Malak in accordance with Sith tradition would later betray Revan and sell him out to the Jedi Council to be memory-wiped and brainwashed as a Jedi Knight so he could take over Revan`s Sith Empire using the Star-Forge,a stolen Republic vessel Malak infused with explosive Dark Side energy(Which Revan stopped with the help of HK-47,Jolee Bindo,Carth Onassi and many others) .

    Revan was a broken hero. His Power was divided in Light and Darkness. A Sith and a Jedi. Revan is the best Charakter I think.

    Darth Revan was almost made canon in the 3rd season of the Clone Wars animated series.
    The mask Revan wears belonged to a nameless mandalorian woman who was against the genocide of their enemies during the mandalorian wars. She died defending civilians from her own people and Revan with other jedi present learned this through the Force when Revan picked up her washed up mask on shores of an ocean. Revan swore to bring mandalorians to justice and wore the mask to honor the mandalorian woman for her sacrfice.

    Yeah, all three games are awesome, even though to fully enjoy SW:TOR you kinda have to buy premium status... yeah...
    Anyway, that quote you thought was about Kreia actually refers to Malak. Here's a little recap: Revan's best friend who became his second in command during the Mandalorian Wars was Alek, who later received the sith name Darth Malak from the Sith Emperor. Kreia, later Darth Traya, was actually one of Revan's first Jedi masters from before he got mind wiped by the Jedi Council. She taught him much about both the light and the dark sides of the Force and they shared a very powerful bond - she always remembered him fondly, even when all his other masters had forsaken him or deceived him when he became a sith lord or when he was being used by the Jedi Council.
    Back to the quote though - when Revan says "Now I know how you felt, my friend", he's reminiscing about Malak's last words and the futility of his actions, as well as regretting having led his best friend astray. If you want an in depth explanation of everything behind those words and Revan's character, give another of DuduFilm's videos a watch, he analyses Revan's character very thoroughly. I'd play the games and maybe read the book too, you know, to get the full experience ;)

      Thank you for that. The Old Republic era is rapidly becoming my favourite era, I loved the SWTOR cinematics, I hope Disney do release a trilogy from this time. Full scale war between the Sith, Jedi and Others would be awesome!

      @@GeeksofMucklebee Anytime :) Sorry if I dragged it out a bit, it's just difficult to condense even just a part of the lore of such a complex franchise into a single post hahah
      Anyway, I agree with you completely, and it's quite likely that if there are to be any other star wars movies after this last trilogy, they'll be set before the current ones, probably in the Old Republic era. I've heard some talk of a movie about Revan starring Keanu Reeves, which would be a dream come true, but I don't believe there's anything tangible actually happening just yet. Let's keep our fingers crossed, right?

    They could easily do a trilogy based around Revan. Film one briefly covers his discovery by the Order and training, then moves on to him entering the Mandalorian Wars. The second film would go on about his finding of the Star Maps and the Rakata homeworld, and his campaign against the Republic. The last film could be about his redemption and fight against Malak's forces and ultimate victory over all that he once created.

    • @Blackflame24
      @Blackflame24 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree! This would be a perfect way to do it! I know that Disney and Lucas love to ignore EU/Legends as non-canon and beat the Skywalker story like a dead horse, but now that Revan is canon, his story is way to important and intriguing to pass up. Especially with the fan base behind his character.

  • @Aewon84
    @Aewon84 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Revan deserves far more than a simple standalone movie. My idea: Tales from the Old Republic. This would be a live-action TV series that tell different stories from the Old Republic. Each story could last anywhere between two and four seasons. By changing cast and possibly writers every few seasons the show would be kept fresh and could go on for a very long time. I think Revan's story should definitely be the first, and later stories could be about someone like Exar Kun, or completely original.

    The long time friend was Darth Malak, know once a time as Alek.
    He was his best friend, and followed him in every single decision he maked. He was his most loyal companion, the most closest he had even to a brother.
    Both becomes heroes during the Mandalorian Wars, both tried to face the Sith Emperor (Vitiate), both failed and both became dark lords. Unexpected for the emperor, both had incredibly strong minds, and where capable of broking the mental control by themselves. But, meanwhile Revan continued in the darkside as a ''necessary evil'' to make a stand against Vitiate and his forces (which eventually will become the Eternal Empire who would put both Galactic Republic and Sith Empires into a so desperate situation by itself that both factions where forced to become temporal allies), Malak succumbed to the darkside in plenitude, and therefore, only seek galactic dominance.
    Malak betrayed Revan when he was battling Bastila Shan and other Jedi, and he though he was dead. But it didn't happened, and Revan was recovered and brought back to the lightside of the Force.
    Then, the whole events of Knights Of The Old Republic occur and finally, at the end, a redeemed Revan battled Malak in the Star Forge, the headquarters of their Sith Empire, and also a superweapon that could literally create war elements from just the darkside and pure star dust. He really never wanted to kill Malak, he actually tried to bring back Alek to the light, but it became impossible. Even Malak acknowledged that he was already too far corrupted.
    The famous phrase that affirms that Revan neither belongs to the lightness and the darkness was said by him, moment previous to their final battle.

    Another good reason for Revan film would be the following: You mentioned, that you like K2-SO. K2-SO is very similar to a droid Revan built, called HK-47, which can be seen in your video at 3:42.

    it can be a trilogy, ep 1 mandalorian war, film would start him as the jedi, going to war and fall to darkside. episode 2. would be a copy of the Knights of the republic game 1. episode 3 shows him 300 years later which is swtor. how and why cant say i don't want to spoil. or in reality ep 3 can be based by the revan book. when he goes to confront the emperor darth vitiate and his fate. and then make 4 if they were to his 300 years into swtor.

    Honestly, i think Revan is my favorite Star Wars characer, as someone who defied that everything has to be good or evil, and that being part of the light has to mean to fear the dark. I liked him as a grey figure in a galaxy that only knows black and white.
