From psychological point of view Anakin had a problem of negative core belief that would tell him that he 'was not good enough' to save those he loved so much. This led him to emotional dysregulation. He could not control his feelings and they started to control his mind, behaviour and his actions. Completely agree with Christian. When the Luke scenes kicked in towards the end, made me tear up. Jeez bro, respect and thankful for the power of your edit.
This cut was truly the best Star Wars summary I could have imagined possible! I genuinely teared up at the end. Seems like "Star Wars" 1977 was woke from the get-go. Han Solo's the conservative, (guns/money/sleaze/short sighted selfish) that turns a new leaf, Kenobi the idealist spiritual new age progressive mentality, Leia the strong woman who takes the mans's gun and literally and takes charge and denies to bow to any authority of all the men all around her. @@drastiin2630
The redemption of Vader only comes as a direct result of Luke's refusal to give up on his father. Kenobi, even Yoda were unable to do that. I love the lightsaber battles, but as an adult I now realize that the wielding of the blades and being a jedi was more than just power or skill. Those colors of green and red really represented the greater battle of evil vs. good, and it's fitting that the victory doesn't come as a result of the blade or the power of Luke. The light side wins because of Luke's refusal to condemn and call to his father to be redeemed. It is never too late to start doing what's right, to turn and be healed. This theme is what makes the story so great and timeless.
Let’s not pretend like Vader didn’t also play a hand in his own redemption, he sacrificed himself to save his own son. Luke very much reminded Vader of who he was/who he really is. Just like Vader destroyed Anakin, it was Anakin who destroyed Vader and Sidious in one swift blow, Luke was no where near powerful enough… Vader was. Luke was the catalyst but the good was always still there inside Vader, he just needed someone that he didn’t feel betrayed by to believe in him. Both Luke AND Anakin saved the galaxy.
@@EternaITruths No bro, the sheer fact that in episode 6, Luke just being able to hold his own against 2 sith lords of their caliber is remarkable. Not gonna lie, this was hard to watch without almost crying. Disney has failed everyone who put hard work, passion, dedication and God given talent to tell the story that took place in a galaxy far, far away.
After watching 3 episodes of The Acolyte, Disney have pulled out all the stops to erase this storyline and seemingly won’t be happy until they completely shatter the lore, story and characters. All were conveyed so well, and the chemistry with Padme was a very believable catalyst, I mean who wouldn’t want to give up everything for someone you love as much as that.
I have been a Star Wars fan for 18 years. I know this story backwards and forwards. And despite knowing everything that happens, this video brought me absolutely to tears. This is such a beautiful tribute to Anakin Skywalker. Well done!!!
There’s three edits of Anakin/Vader on here that make me sob I swear. 😭 This one is one of them lmfao. The first one is ‘The Chosen One’ by Heroes Fan Productions. It’s near 10 minutes long and a total masterpiece! I was a mess by the end of it. 💀
Genuinely the best character and the best villain in fiction for me and the most heartbreaking. Because you don't feel like he should be killed, you don't feel like he's evil. He needs to be saved and that's what happens The way George wrote this story and the way Hayden plays him blows my mind. The OG's and the Prequels are for me the only SW movies, damn the rest.
If this edit was any better, the universe would tear itself apart. This is an insane piece of cinematic history, combining all the key moments of the Skywalker Saga, showcasing the faults of the Order, deception of the Sith, the emotional manipulation of Anakin as well as the grip Vader had on the Galaxy by pure fear alone. The transition where Krennic looks at Vader in sheer horror with the sound of Palpatine giving Vader his Sith name was jaw dropping. The part where a remixed version of duel of the fates plays when Vader faces Obi Wan, then cuts to silence shows the hatred, fear, sweat, tears and brotherhood shared between the two. The transition from the Hallway scene to the multiple other fights was just unbelievable
Anyone notice how the lightsaber clashes were synced to the music? In addition to all the other praise, the attention to detail and the effort to make it perfect is inspiring.
Chills. Bloody chills! The emotions you’ve managed to evoke far surpasses that of what Disney has managed in years. Thank you for reminding me what Star Wars was, is, and forever will be.

Anakin Skywalker crossed and mastered both the light and dark sides of the Force. Redeemed by his conviction, he was the Chosen One, the only one who balanced both sides of the scale.
Perhaps misread the Prophecy is. Bringing balance is not destroying one side or the other. But more likely one who could have the power to unite both Sith and Jedi. There is no story that compels me the way Anakin's does. You've created a masterpiece of a tribute and made me feel emotions rarely caused by a video. Can't thank you enough for sharing it with us.
As a child in the late 70's and early 80s, I watched Episodes 4, 5 and 6. Like probably most people at the time, I naively thought the saga of Star Wars was the story of Luke Skywalker. As the years passed, and the rest of the story was revealed, I learned, as we all did, that this was the story of Anakin. Star Wars in it's many forms, is a pop culture phenomenon like no other in that it brings such joy and entertainment to it's fans. What you have created here, is a beautiful piece of art that so masterfully encapsulates the story of one of science fiction's most recognizable characters. As a lifelong Star Wars fan and fellow video editing enthusiast, I commend you on your hard work and outstanding creation. Thank you for putting this out into the world for others to enjoy, and May the Force be With You.
Well Said, I also Grew up in the Early 70's, My Dad took me to See STAR WARS for the 1st Time when I was 6, was HOOKED! George Lucas' Original Versions before DISNEY took Over are the GREATEST MOVIES Ever!
This is easy one of the best, if not the best, tribute I've seen this year. Every time I'll go back to watch this video I'll think "This is where the fun begins". Truly amazing, I really mean it.
The Anakin/Vader story is as much about heartbreak as it is redemption. Anakins heart broke when he couldnt save his mom, then he couldnt save Padme. The Emperor saw the rage inside of him and twisted it into the most powerful Sith at that time. His redemption comes at the cost of his own life sadly. This edit perfectly sums all of that up. Thank you for this.
Very true, part of him died with Shmi, and obviously Padme. He also believed his unborn child died at his hand. Completely broke him, but Anakin was never fully vanquished. The bottom line is the Council got their hands on the messiah then handed him over to Satan. Truly tragic
This is a masterpiece. Although Anakin/Vader is a fictional character, your heart breaks for him after piecing together his life story. This made us see the person in a deeper light.
@12:20 The first 30 seconds are so powerful, visceral and emotional. Obi-wan’s remembrance of what he did to Anakin that day on mustafar. The realization that he mutilated and burned his brother, then left him to die. Anakin’s final scream as he burned alive on the bank of hot ash and rock… Complete chills and the horror of what happened and the sadness of what could have been make everything so much worse
Can we shout out Hayden Christensen The Chosen One.... Just look on every emotion he portrays on every level... was on point! you can really feel it too And this video is a masterpiece!!! Excelent
Fr. The hate he received was never warranted. George's shit dialogue was to blame for the prequels, never Haydon. You felt every emotion with him. While a lot of the new Disney stuff is bollocks,Haydon getting his renaissance is probably the best thing to come out of it all.
You know, this fan piece that cost maybe an eighth of what all Disney puts in anything they create has more heart than anything they have made. Bravo for making me cry for starwars again.
This video, without a doubt, represents the most remarkable depiction of Anakin Skywalker and his transformation into Darth Vader that I have ever come across. It captures the essence of Anakin's extraordinary journey, leading from a heroic figure to a formidable villain, and ultimately finding redemption to become good once again. I cannot stress enough how this portrayal resonates with me on a deep level, forging an even stronger bond with the Star Wars universe. While every aspect of the Star Wars saga is undeniably awe-inspiring and enjoyable, it is the legacy of Anakin Skywalker that stands above all else. His story, as portrayed in this video, is a testament to the complex and multifaceted nature of his character. It takes us back to his early years, portraying him as a wide-eyed child, brimming with untapped potential and innocence. As the scenes seamlessly transition, we witness Anakin's growth as he embarks on the path of a Jedi apprentice, his destiny intertwined with the unfolding events of the Clone Wars. One aspect that truly captivates me is the inclusion of Anakin's own apprentice, Ahsoka Tano. Their bond is beautifully portrayed, showcasing the mentorship and camaraderie that develops between them. Through their shared experiences, we witness Anakin's guidance and the profound impact he has on shaping Ahsoka into the remarkable Jedi she becomes. The video masterfully weaves in scenes of their interactions, highlighting the depth of their connection. But the video doesn't stop there; it goes beyond the confines of Anakin's apprentice and delves into the relationships he forms with other significant characters. We are treated to glimpses of Luke Skywalker, Leia, and Padme, individuals who play pivotal roles in Anakin's life. These scenes serve as poignant reminders of the love, loss, and sacrifices that shape Anakin's journey. As the narrative unfolds, we are transported to the tumultuous era of the Galactic Civil War. It is here that Anakin, now known as Darth Vader, is confronted by those who were once close to him. Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and Luke, in particular, stand as powerful symbols of the conflict that exists within Anakin's soul. The video skillfully portrays their emotional encounters, showcasing the internal struggle that Anakin faces as he grapples with his past and the choices he has made. What truly sets this video apart is how seamlessly it merges all these intricately woven scenes together. The transitions are flawless, creating a cohesive and visually stunning experience. Every frame serves a purpose, painting a vivid picture of Anakin's journey and the profound impact he has on the galaxy.
Anakin is the most beautifully, deep and complex character in all of star wars and cinema history. Born without a father, poor, a slave with no hope for the future, taken from his mother, his mother taken from him, fell into forbidden love, feared loss again, fell to darkness, lost his title and gained a new one, destroyed the order he fought for his whole life, lost his wife, lost his friends, lost his children, lost his body and became trapped in a suit which made him suffer constantly and was the fuel for his hatred, comitted terrible acts, met his son and daughter years later and his heart was again moved and awoken, defeated his wicked master who fooled him and saved his son and was redeemed. Beautiful. No one can tell me there is a better star wars character. Anakin's story is fundamentally about what it means to be human. Anakin's redemption story resonates because it tells us all something we desperately want to believe - that no matter what we've done, it's never too late to turn back. It's never too late to learn from your mistakes. It's never too late to stand up, dust yourself off, and turn around. You are never too far gone to change. Vader tells Luke earlier, "It's too late for me, son", yet his last words were "You were right about me. Tell your sister, you were right..." It's only too late to change if you have convinced yourself of that very fact. Personally, as a Christian, I relate Anakin's redemption to the idea that none of us are too far gone to be beyond God's forgiveness. We're all flawed, but we aren't lost if we turn and accept God's pardon through Jesus.
@@billburns4465 your hate will indeed lead to suffering, and if you can't grasp HOW and WHY Palpatine returned...then you don't know anything about Star Wars!

From psychological point of view Anakin had a problem of negative core belief that would tell him that he 'was not good enough' to save those he loved so much.
This led him to emotional dysregulation. He could not control his feelings and they started to control his mind, behaviour and his actions. This character is a fascinating case from psychological point of view and it is a huge credit to genius mind of George Lucas.

This cut was truly the best Star Wars summary I could have imagined possible! I genuinely teared up at the end. Star Wars has always been the Skywalker story and those around him. To deny that is criminal and undeserving of opinion or criticism. I can't express enough the joy this mere 18 min video has brought be and to the editor I just want to say thank you so much for touching on the best memories of life growing up with these legendary stories!
I must agree, oh what could have been!
RIP, James. Vader wouldn't be the iconic character he is without your voice ❤
This theme is what makes the story so great and timeless.
well said
Green is relaxing so it fits perfectly with Luke who had faith that his father can be redeemed.
Both Luke AND Anakin saved the galaxy.
just like his mom, he never gave hope on him.
@@EternaITruths No bro, the sheer fact that in episode 6, Luke just being able to hold his own against 2 sith lords of their caliber is remarkable.

What a terrific tribute to the greatest and most complex hero and villain in Star Wars history
Cinema history*
This hits so much harder after James Earl Jones passing. Rest in peace king.
This is very good.

Thank you Ilia for bringing the magic back to Star Wars...even if only for 18 minutes. You gave this old timer a few moments of his childhood again.
This gave me full body chills and deep nostalgic induced sadness.
