I feel so stupid that I cried over a minute teaser for this game but I can't explain how much this game and the characters had a massive impact on me. Kotor will always be my game.

The creator said that they are building it from ground up. So it won’t be just upgraded resolution and graphics. They talked about it after the showcase ended.
The amount of excitement I have for this is off the charts, I'm gonna be 23 in November, have seen alot of trailers, alot of only cinematic trailers nothing has had me this excited
I’d love a Fallen Order type version of it. The turn-based gameplay is kind of outdated and we have the technology now to really make lightsaber fighting really engaging and realistic.

My love for SW started with KOTOR and Revan. I played the games before watching any of the movies. I know I'm kind of an anomaly but a welcomed one. This is the best SW news ever for me!😭

So, Knight's of The Old Republic is one of the all time greatest Star Wars stories for me personally. I really hope this remake is akin to the Crash Bandicoot remake or the FF7 remake. I cannot wait to play this though for real!! I'd love for an updated Force Unleashed game too. But KOTOR deserved it way more.
I really like Aspyr though. Hopefully they remain true to the spirit of the story. I may not pre-order because I am very concerned about what changes will be made. I'm so tired of subverting expectations... every time I have been severely disappointed.

Ah man I remember playing this game all the time when I was a kid. It's going to be so good playing this game again with the newly improved graphics and gameplay. Hopefully all the original voice actors for the characters are the same. It will be nice hearing Carth and Bastila voice again after all these years.
Was so happy about this...until I saw who the main writer is. Bitterly disappointed that someone who respects the lore, the fanbase and arguably one of the greatest RPGs ever made was not put in her position.

Don't get too excited.. if you know who the lead writer is and know what she is like then save your excitement until you hear more about the game.. we don't know much but the more excited you are now the more you might be disappointed in the future
@@randomcontentguy2521 It seems like everything will mostly stay the same like main plot points and stuff but the dialogue will be different which she is going to be working on and some other things will change as well to fit into canon. Also it looks like the combat will be better. I'm really not that worried cause I havn't seen anything to get me concerned yet.

@@randomcontentguy2521 Well the way the force works is different and the way a jedi and sith get lightsaber crystals is different in the canon as well. In canon a jedi would get it's crystal by having it start off clear then they would touch the crystal to get the color. In legends and in the original KOTOR game you would get crystals from different planets with the color already being like that. Also in canon the way the sith change the crystal to red is by bleeding the crystal instead of it being synthetic like it it is in legends. Also wielding a sith lightsaber is difficult for a light side user cause of the dark side energy. Little changes like that would be made to the game also some planets will change as well. The changes are going to be made to fit the canon cause as KOTOR stands it does not fit into canon due to the lore being different.

If you aren't aware of sam maggs i suggest you do some research on just who is writing our beloved old Republic (remake).. i personally am cautiously optimistic AT BEST. I know for a fact they will change more than just how a lightsaber is forged and other small things you mentioned.. last time i was excited for star wars was before the force awakens came out. I didn't know then what i know now. Money is precious and spending it on freaks who don't give a damn about you as fans isn't on my to do list.

I was really excited when I saw this, but then I found our they added some people to the writing staff, to apparently re-write it. Like what the fuck? Why would they need to re-write it? And the people they added are like fans of the sequels. Fucking hell. My expectations are below ground now.
This is awesome! Next, it would be cool to have a prequel where you play as Revan during the Mandalorian Wars, and ends when you find the emperor in deep space.
The PS5 exclusivity makes me think either Disney are stupid, which wouldn't surprise me at all, or Sony are desperate and paid up front what Disney thought they'd make, which also wouldn't surprise me. Either way that's my interest in it down the toilet.
Just the fact that current Disney and Lucasfilm is behind it chills me to my core I really hope this is a remake and nothing more with NO alterations no inserting nonsense or retconning and I hope they don’t go on with doing KOTOR 2 with my favorite character Darth Nihilus just let that story arc stay non canon to BS Disney SW. Yeah the combat in the KOTOR was just selecting what you want to attack and just sit back I prefer you just being in control of your character during combat like The Force Unleashed or Jedi Academy games. Yeah I feel at worst it’ll sadly try to connect with the cinematic failure and absolute WORST “SW” movie that was ros and yeah I hate ros more than tlj because it not only devalues the Prequels and OG Trilogy but really the entire lore and that is more than turning Luke out in the garbage that was tlj everyone was hyped that Sith like Revan were Malak are canon because of the ros novelization to where I’m like “Rape of Skywalker is a garbage POS movie and continuity if all that is canon then in this inferior trash continuity all those Sith lost to rey because jj anus is a hack” if this is intertwined with the sequel canon then all these characters are meant to be devalued to the road that leads to the sequel failogy unless they retcon it.
@@corpsedesecrator2612 I don't think it's going to connect with anything in the Skywalker saga cause KOTOR is really far into the past and the original KOTOR did not connect to the Skywalker saga. Like I said they are going to fit this game into the canon so they are going to add the canon ways of how things work in the Star Wars universe. Like in legends there were different color crystals that you would get on different planets and caves but in canon you touch a clear crystal to change the color. Little stuff like that will change to fit KOTOR into the canon but the story it's self is going to be relatively the same just the little stuff will change that doesn't effect the story. Also force powers might be effected as well in the KOTOR remake.

I think it's more likely that they are gonna let you choose like in the original game. If they are gonna be "woke" then the demographic in vogue to pander to is not women, but the queer community, so it's more likely that they would make Revan nonbinary (which pretty much would just mean they/them pronouns, I think?) than a woman.

Maybe they're taking the timeline back further to during the civil war. So you're still playing as Revan but depending on your alignment the outcome of the war is different. Or you might just be another Jedi that either fights against Revan or joins him

It is a PS5 console exclusive at launch. A PC isn't a console. Xbox will get it a year later. I don't think it'll be like FF7 Remake where the deal was like 2-3 years of exclusivity.

Ah man I remember playing this game all the time when I was a kid. It's going to be so good playing this game again with the newly improved graphics and gameplay. Hopefully all the original voice actors for the characters are the same. It will be nice hearing Carth and Bastila voice again after all these years.
Was so happy about this...until I saw who the main writer is. Bitterly disappointed that someone who respects the lore, the fanbase and arguably one of the greatest RPGs ever made was not put in her position.

Also it looks like the combat will be better. I'm really not that worried cause I havn't seen anything to get me concerned yet.

@@randomcontentguy2521 Well the way the force works is different and the way a jedi and sith get lightsaber crystals is different in the canon as well. In canon a jedi would get it's crystal by having it start off clear then they would touch the crystal to get the color. In legends and in the original KOTOR game you would get crystals from different planets with the color already being like that. Also in canon the way the sith change the crystal to red is by bleeding the crystal instead of it being synthetic like it it is in legends. Also wielding a sith lightsaber is difficult for a light side user cause of the dark side energy. Little changes like that would be made to the game also some planets will change as well. The changes are going to be made to fit the canon cause as KOTOR stands it does not fit into canon due to the lore being different.

If you aren't aware of sam maggs i suggest you do some research on just who is writing our beloved old Republic (remake).. i personally am cautiously optimistic AT BEST. I know for a fact they will change more than just how a lightsaber is forged and other small things you mentioned.. last time i was excited for star wars was before the force awakens came out. I didn't know then what i know now. Money is precious and spending it on freaks who don't give a damn about you as fans isn't on my to do list.

The PS5 exclusivity makes me think either Disney are stupid, which wouldn't surprise me at all, or Sony are desperate and paid up front what Disney thought they'd make, which also wouldn't surprise me.

Also I could see them actually adding a customize lightsaber feature. I think if this is a success I would hope it would into KOTOR 2 remake and possibly lead into the cancelled KOTOR 3.
Yeah the combat in the KOTOR was just selecting what you want to attack and just sit back I prefer you just being in control of your character during combat like The Force Unleashed or Jedi Academy games. Yeah I feel at worst it’ll sadly try to connect with the cinematic failure and absolute WORST “SW” movie that was ros and yeah I hate ros more than tlj because it not only devalues the Prequels and OG Trilogy but really the entire lore and that is more than turning Luke out in the garbage that was tlj everyone was hyped that Sith like Revan were Malak are canon because of the ros novelization to where I’m like “Rape of Skywalker is a garbage POS movie and continuity if all that is canon then in this inferior trash continuity all those Sith lost to rey because jj anus is a hack” if this is intertwined with the sequel canon then all these characters are meant to be devalued to the road that leads to the sequel failogy unless they retcon it.
@@corpsedesecrator2612 I don't think it's going to connect with anything in the Skywalker saga cause KOTOR is really far into the past and the original KOTOR did not connect to the Skywalker saga. Like I said they are going to fit this game into the canon so they are going to add the canon ways of how things work in the Star Wars universe. Like in legends there were different color crystals that you would get on different planets and caves but in canon you touch a clear crystal to change the color. Little stuff like that will change to fit KOTOR into the canon but the story it's self is going to be relatively the same just the little stuff will change that doesn't effect the story. Also force powers might be effected as well in the KOTOR remake.

I think it's more likely that they are gonna let you choose like in the original game. If they are gonna be "woke" then the demographic in vogue to pander to is not women, but the queer community, so it's more likely that they would make Revan nonbinary (which pretty much would just mean they/them pronouns, I think?) than a woman.

with much coverage, its most likely known now due to videos surfacing on YT that his remake, it may or not be great. it is being re written, a new story. the writer isnt favored for certain things ill leave it at that. yes it very very well could be revan is female, all else changed. remember its a remake. anything can be done for better or worse. this is a story remake, not a remaster as said. not going to be changed the storylines? yes they will be, thats what re written means.

Maybe they're taking the timeline back further to during the civil war. So you're still playing as Revan but depending on your alignment the outcome of the war is different. Or you might just be another Jedi that either fights against Revan or joins him

The person in charge of the remake constantly hates on men, tweets sexist posts, claims that Mary Sues are the best, says that anyone who didn’t like Rey is just an idiot. She clearly has no respect for the fans, let alone the game she was given to work on. Every game she has been in charge of, failed horribly and pissed lots of people off, she already has ruined quite a lot of games and I doubt she will suddenly have a change of heart, let alone make the game even bearable.
It will probably just barely be considered a success, just because how many people will blindly try the game and play it to see how good it is, rather than doing a little research on what might be in it and deciding to play afterwards when they learn enough about all the aspects of the game, other than that it won’t do good at all.
