HEY GUYS! AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT! This is currently the most viewed video on my channel and I'm glad to meet so many other people who are passionate about STAR WARS as much as I am! I GOT 3 QUESTIONS: 1. If you were born in the Old Republic time era, which side do you want to be on? Sith? Republic? Or maybe even Zakuul? 2. What class character do you want to be, and which characters have you played in the game if you have already? 3. Since my schedule is kind of all over the place, would you guys rather see me play the game or maybe react to the different class character storylines and playthroughs? REPLY OR COMMENT DOWN BELOW! Update as of 12/25: I'm playing the game right now as a Sith Warrior since many of you asked me to play and my reaction to the 'Disorder' trailer is also on my channel
i agree 100% play the game... i have been playing since 2014 off/on its F2P (mostly) or $15 unlocks all xpanisions + more i think everyone should play atleast a couple different class stories =)
1 - dunno not really want to be on any side, they all hypocrites. 2 - i played all classes since launch. my main was sith marauder, warrior in medium armor with dual lightsabers. then i rerolled into sith juggernaught, warrior in heavy armor with single saber. both of witch was light side characters. 3 - up to you. in my opinion in swtor empire class stories are way better than republic.
I played at the launch and then a bit many years later. I think I never got into the late game. My long dream has been to finish my Sith character and then also test the Jedi side.
The game takes place around 3000 years before the movies. The first three trailers are what takes place before the start of the game. The game starts around 20 years after the third trailer, the sacking on Coruscant. A peace treat took place shortly after. You start the game as the cold war is about to become a hot one.
I was gonna say it thought is was 10 years after treaty and 20 years after start of the war. Also isn’t it 300 years after KOTOR thus 3700 years before prequels? I still think the best way to watch these trailers is in original release trailer and order
When a 5-min game trailers have better storytelling, a much deeper plot, and much better character development than all Disney full length movies combined
The third faction is called Zakuul(I was corrected it is called The Eternal Empire). The Twins, Thexan(Black) and Arcann(White) and sister Valen are children from the Valkorion and Senya Tirall. Don't want to spoil so I will say that the third faction is built to defeat the Empire and Republic. It is supposed to be the perfect "Empire" basically. Anyways hope that helps. Play the game, if you love Star Wars then the story as your Character is amazing. You will spend hundreds of hours just doing story all about your Character. You pretty much saw all the classes you can play in these trailers. Each class has their own class story and some are better than others. The main story though is amazing. Even if you don't like MMO's you can actually play story only by yourself. That is what makes SWTOR unique and at the same time detrimental to itself. Solo play.
Thanks again for the info, I appreciate it! I do have the game, but with my schedule and making other videos, I haven't really got to it yet. I plan on watching and reacting to more Old Republic videos so keep an eye out for them!
@@redman0901 I don't know this game is older than some people here I assume. Back than it had is strength and to this point I have to see another mmo that was this good at story telling and getting you into the whole story on so many different levels (classes, background etc.) Sure it failed somewhat - it was compared to WoW back than and never produced similar numbers. Nonetheless - the fun I had in this game following the story (1-40) with the voiced campaign is second to none - even better than many single player games. I did not care much about the extensions - none of those and changes in the game made it too easy, so even the great 1-40 lost because of that.
@@joelquinn5347 oh I won't argue with that point about the game was fun to play due to the story line, my first character was the bounty hunter and I had a blast, playing with my clan, where the game went wrong with so many MMO's is that it's just another grinding theme park ride and that just made the rest of the game blah for me as pretty much any theme park MMO does, so much they could have done with the game to give it a different feel like some sandbox's did/do or at least attempted some sandbox options.
@@redman0901 I agree - they went the same route as others, did not deliver there I assume and wasted the specific flair and background this game had. My favorite was the agent I assume, could not stand that garbage bucket from the Bounty Hunter - no offence. Combining those two stories with a friend though was just perfect.
10:40 That's a force technique called Tutaminis. It allows the user to absorb and redirect energy, in essence. We see Yoda use it twice in the Prequel trilogy to absorb lightning from both Dooku and Palpatine
In the original trailer versions of these 2 cinematics that I have seen, the dialogue here 7:30, 11:48 and here 12:29, 14:56 is quite different. I liked that other dialogue a bit better than the one from this video. And the original dialogue makes a bit more sense (here at 14:56) with how Malgus' mouth area was moving here, since in the original one he says what is said directly to the defeated Jedi: "You were deceived! And now your Republic shall fall!" "Deceived" is also the name of that cinematic btw. So the old dialogue makes more sense also in that regard.
Same, I'd like the original dialogue from both trailer better. The reason I'm guessing why it's different is that when you choose your side and finish making your character.
The reason the dialogue was changed is because the Revan novel changed the lore and the game needed to be consistent with that. The change was based on the fact Malgus said originally "For 300 years we prepared, we grew stronger". This is an incorrect statement. They actually prepared for a thousand years. Malgus says this the correct way in the "Return" trailer, where after Kao Cen Dorak is killed Malgus says "After a thousand years, Korriban is ours again".
10:38 "How is she doing that?" The force skill Tutanimis (Energy Absorption). Same thing Vader did on Cloud City when he 'caught' those blaster bolts with the palm of his glove.
The Jedi of the Old Republic era were no joke, at least they were in the Expanded Universe. Plus the great attention to detail given in the fighting styles. The Jedi mortally wounding that Sith with finesse and technique, the remaining Sith just overpowering him with sheer brute force; just heavy, battering swings bashing through the Jedi's guard.
in time of game it was true jedi / sith war, where they fight as real wariors, in time of movies, jedis were only pussies maintainig peace like city cops, far away from REAL combat power in any meaning, maybe only Yoda was last real combat jedi of that meaning, but even he know, that jedis are done, rey is just pathetic peice of sh it
Satele Shan's Zabrak Jedi Master, from the first trailer, was using a lightsaber in one hand and a double lightsaber in the other hand. The first character I made was a Zabrak Jedi Knight / Sentinel / Watchman. In this guy's honor.
I'm sure other people have pointed this out but looking back as a SWTOR player to the first player, it's absolutely genius. They show off what the 4 main classes are in the game using their main weapons (Smuggler with his blasters, the Commando cannon, Satele's version of the Jedi Sage and her master as the Jedi Knight). They also give you a hint of the on-rails space combat attack missions in the game at the time from the smuggler ship escaping the Empire cruisers. Finally, the fight between Jedi and Sith is the most beautifully choreographed Star Wars fight that exists in my opinion with Light and Dark side mirroring each other flawlessly, down to small details like Satele giving her master her lightsaber while Malgus forcefully takes his master's weapon from his fallen body. Not to mention the beautiful transitions from Jedi Guardian to Jedi Sentinel ( 2 lightsabers) that leads to the defeat of the Sith Assassin and then Malgus goes from Sith Juggernaut to Sith Marauder and wins the fight.
Absolutely! I was playing the game alot at the time and I was blown away. From a GAME! When I heard about about The Force Awakens, this is what I expected. Man, am I disappointed. Star Wars has now been ruined by toxic feminists and their agendas, so sad and depressing...
Can't get over how awesome these trailers look. Would love some animated Star Wars movies that look like this. We need an KOTOR movie or series. We want Keanu as Revan.
@@TheMrPeteChannel That man can whoop more ass at 50 than you probably could at 20 lmao. If you're worried about looks, then we can just de-age him like we did Hayden in Ahsoka. If you're worried about choreography, they can give him more screentime with his mask on, and have a stunt double underneath. There really isn't an issue.
@@GameslordXY that doesn't matter, what matters is having trash stories and "flawless women who can do everything because women" like in she hulk or ray palpatine... they ruin potentially good stories to push an agenda
2:14 Satele is already sensing the 'darkness' from the Force... that kind of sensitivity is really, really, really rare. Also, the hat that the smuggler has... Cad Bane would kill for that.
@@WarriorHumble24 That force ability is known as Tutaminis - and it is really rare - there are less than ten force users (across the known history of Star Wars) who have managed the focus needed to actually make it work. Satele Shan and Yoda are two good examples. For obvious reasons, I'm not counting the Bendu, or the 'Mortis Arc' storyline.
Havoc Squad are the ultimate badasses of Republic troopers, who sometimes have to face sith- and sometimes win. But Darth Malgus is both a Beast, and Based af.
Hey man just wanted to say as someone who lost most of my friends recently having someone to watch these with and just chill was really nice. Thanks for reacting to these trailers! I really enjoyed.
I truly am sorry for your losses, I feel you. I lost my grandmother actually this past Christmas and she was the last grandparent I had. It was difficult to continuing and making videos for that week because I had to be smiling on camera, but it actually helped me keep on going and overcoming my loss. I do appreciate your words and also take care!
It's one thing to do a 5 minute game video. It's another to do a full trilogy and NOT piss of a large part of the fandom. SW fans are notoriously fickle.
Except unfortunately SWTOR also has a lot of bullshit. Faith of Meetra Surik is one of those problem. To be clear it is possible to make actually great adaptation. But one major change they need make is to ignore time difference and integrate plot of KotOR1/2 and SWTOR, what actually is possible. Especially as two Bastilas is another bullshit.
@@lordnevetsz Except they didn't make the bast game in franchise. Obsidian did. People forget that Revan become a character only in the Sequel. In first game he was blank slate.
I will agree with you on that I played SWTOR for years lol I started playing after I found a bunch of 30 day cards for sale for 99 cents in a clearance bin, if I recall I still have a crate-o-matic in my locker
Seeing these trailers again fills me with both nostalgia and sadness. Nostalgia, because I played this MMO for years with a bunch of friends ever since it released. Sadness, because just look at this material. Why can't they give us Star Wars movies that go this hard? So much wasted potential.
Satele Shan (The girl from the first 2 with the double bladed saber) eventually becomes the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order, and is the direct descendant of not only Bastilla Shan (A very powerful Jedi Master who has experience in both the light and dark sides of the force), but Reven, who is one of the most powerful and influential beings to exist during the old republic, and was like the Anakin of his era.
And this is what we dreamed of modern star wars and this is what we tend to compare them to. The story, the choreography, the cinematography! It was fantastic!!
No we don't,you do not speak for me. I hate SWTOR,the way it plays, its cinematics and the way overrated world of ''the old republic'',Kotor is one of the most overrated games ever. Wish SWTOR would die already and someone had the balls to make SWG 2.0,same game mechanics pre nge/cu but with 2023 graphics.
Fun fact during the second clip when the trooper detonates the grenade in his hand, the Jedi Satele uses the Force to protect him from the blast, if you watch closely you'll see a blue shield in front of him when he's sent flying back.
Oh wow! That explains it. I thought "he should be missing a limb and most likely dead, but how is he still standing and alive?!" Thanks again for the fun fact! Appreciate it! 👍
@@WarriorHumble24 I doubt it that that is her protecting him More like thermal detonator causes different explosions than a grenade. But I suppose I could be wrong.
@@GameslordXYWatch closely at 0.25 speed, you see the blue shimmer like the one she uses when she blocks the Lightsaber with her hand, it's called Tutaminus.
The Jedi in the first two is Bastila's daughter or granddaughter I can't remember. And she becomes the Grand Master of the Jedi order when the game starts.
Glad to see you liked the trailers. Pretty spectacular all around, especially since some of those have been around since like 2010. However, you did miss the newest trailer, 'Disorder'. Also, for whatever reason the video you picked with all the trailers had the re-dubbed versions of the second and third trailers (Hope and Deceived). IMO the original voiceovers for those trailers are a lot better and I'm not sure why the newer voiceovers exist, so check out the original versions of both trailers if you're interested.
Yeah, the trailers were AMAZING! Also, I did see that another trailer, 'Disorder', did come out a lot later than the other trailers so I did watch and react to it so keep an eye out for it! I didn't know that the trailers were dubbed, I'll check the original versions. Thanks again!
What do you mean re-dubbed? These are the original voices... no? 0_o I have seen these trailers since 2012 and i'm pretty sure those are the originals...
I did check the other trailers that was mentioned and it was meant that the commentary that is being told from the trailers is different that the other trailers
Satele Shan, the Jedi woman in the first 2 trailers, is Revan's descendent. She and the Trooper, Jace Malcolm who is in the second trailer actually have a son together, Theron Shan. The female Mando in the 3rd trailer is Shae Vizla. She has a pretty badass introduction in the game. It's pretty neat getting to meet a lot of the characters from the trailers in the game. There are multple class stories but the Jedi Knight, the Hero of Tython, is the canon character. They were going to be the main protagonist in KOTOR 3 before the game was changed to an MMO.
Really late on this but just to nail down some of the basics of the armies of the Old Republic and Sith Empire. The Old Republic troopers aren’t clones but basically people who joined the Republics army. Almost like the Empire conscripting civilians to become stormtroopers, but the Old Republic troopers were trained to fight any sith. As they were actually trained to combat force wielders. Now a lot of the lower sith warriors weren’t trained as well as say Vader, Dooku, and Sidious but played their role as an army. Same goes with the Sith Empire troopers who basically the opposite of the Old Republic troopers but weren’t trained to fight Jedi as most Jedi were a lot more skilled than most sith acolytes or warriors.
I think Sith Lords and even apprentices were often much more powerful than an average Jedi. If an apprentice and a padawan, or even a Knight had a 1v1, the Sith would almost always win, because to even become an apprentice they had to be better than (and often kill) every other acolyte in their class for the privilege of having a master. The end result meaning Sith are more often much more powerful than their Jedi equivalent (even killing Jedi in higher ranks than theirs), but the Sith are much less numerous, since it's survival of the fittest on Korriban, and the weak are killed. Whereas the Jedi are more numerous and varied in their skills, since it isn't just fighting. This means more Jedi for each major battlefield, which is sometimes just enough to beat the skilled but less numerous Sith.
The first 3 trailers are the original trailers the shipped with the game on release showing the start, middle, and end of the galaxy-wide war. The game starts after the cease-fire is signed. I won't give away any spoilers for those whom haven't played the game, but the 4th trailer is for the Knights for the Fallen Empire expansion which introduces the Eternal Empire as a 3rd (unplayable) faction. The 5th trailer is for Knights of the Eternal Empire expansion. There is a 6th trailer too, called "Disorder", which is for the most recent expansion. With another expansion coming up, I would expect a 7th at some point too.
On the color of the lightsabers, in Legends the crystals used all had different colors which 'drew' in the Jedi to what suited them best, with there even being red crystals even though the 'modern' Sith used synthetic red crystals. In the new cannon however the crystals are normal clear kyber crystals which 'fed' on the personality of the jedi which changed their color eventually hence why Temple Guards had yellow lightsabers. This was used retroactively to explain the different hues of red in Vader's lightsabers between what I believe to the the 5th and 6th movies as he had a red synthetic crystal the the previous and got a true red crystal in the latter. For the new cannon red lightsaber crystals are 'bleed' from a kyber crystal with the dark side from a Jedi lightsaber which then changed them red. This is also the explanation for Askoka's white lightsabers as she reclaimed her old ones which were bleed red and then purified with the light side.
There are also some amazing books that go along with these trailers that I highly recommend. Especially the one that takes place the same time as the Coruscant trailer.
Just wanna say you're refreshingly sharp! You definitely know a lot about Star Wars, and what you don't know you were excited to learn about in the comments from what I've seen. It's satisfying to watch a reaction where someone takes in all of the details intelligently and immediately interprets the story correctly!
Dont know if anyone's mentioned it but the trooper you see the most of is from Havoc Squad, there specops, his name is Jace Malcom (he's also the supreme commander/head honcho of the pubs army) and those types of soliders were trained to go against actual sith by themselves and they have a pretty big sith body count. Its why he could do all to Malgus.
@@thomasjoychild4962 yeah pretty sure he is at least. Been a while since I've read up on his lore, but even if he's not he's still one of those troopers trained to take on sith.
Havoc squad was virtually wiped out though after the battle of alderaan. Sure, a few of them can take an average acolyte or newly appointed lord if they're prepped and outnumber the Sith. But one on one they still have no chance.
That third faction is the Eternal Empire of Zakuul, introduced in their eternal empire/throne expansions many years after release. I haven't played in a long time but essentially, there was a plot line about the Sith Emperor being MIA throughout most of the plot. The Emperor at this time is Darth Vitiate and he's an old motherfucker, as in this dude was the apprentice to Marka Ragnos himself. He'd managed some kind of ritual that granted immortality in some form and when the Republic and Empire signed treaties and went into a cold war, he started working on his side project, this third faction, and he did that as the Eternal Emperor Valkorion, sitting on his Eternal Throne that powers the Eternal Fleet... kinda see what they're about? They like slapping Eternal on everything, supposed to be the perfect faction making up for the flaws Vitiate saw in both the republic and the empire after he rebuilt it. As far as I know, this faction is meant to be more neutral, those knights in the armor use the dark side and light side. As for the girl, Vaylin, she is the sister to those two brothers and is brought up as this boogeyman sort that you run from if she shows up because she's so powerful you can't do anything. That lady at the end with the blue lightsaber was actually the wife for Valkorion, so all those three are her kids as well.
The one with the brothers and the girl weren't part of the game trailers for knights of the old republic, but they are stories (I'm not really sure when they fall but I think around the same time.)
There is a sixth trailer, titled 'Disorder'. The game these trailers are from takes place three thousand years before the films, a time in which the Jedi weren't a monastic order of advisors like they are by the time of the Clone Wars. And the Rule of Two wouldn't come around for the Sith until a few centuries before the Clone Wars if memory serves. The third trailer mentions that the Jedi order hunted the Sith nearly to extinction. This happened about twelve hundred years before the game's time perior in an era referred to as The Great Hyperspace War. And it was just as Malgus says in the voiceover: The Jedi were vicious and bloodthirsty at the end of that war, attempting a genuine genocide against the Sith even when the Sith had long since given up the fighting in favor of survival. A particular lightsaber color being associated with a specific order of sub-order is something that is basically a part of that group's uniform. A lightsaber's color is based on the type of crystal used in its construction, so it can be regimented. Thus blue, green, and sometimes yellow for various type of Jedi and Sith almost universally using red. But then you have folks like Mace Windu having purple and Coran Horn (from the Old EU or 'Legends' as it's called under Disney) having silver. The second trailer takes place on Alderaan, and the original version of the trailer identified it as such before its voiceover was changed. Satele Shan (the female Jedi in the trailers) used an energy absorption and redirection technique that's been seen in the films (Yoda uses it against force lightning a couple times). Each of the primary focus characters in the first three trailers represents one of the game's eight primary classes. On the Republic side is Smuggler, Trooper, Jedi Knight, and Jedi Councilor. On the Imperial side is Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter, and Imperial Agent (which is never shown in the trailers at all, which fits for a class focusing on disguise and subterfuge). Darth Malgus, the Sith Warrior archetype in the first three trailers is one of the core game's primary antagonists and one of the better written MMORPG villains. The father in the fourth and fifth videos is probably the biggest pile of rat shit in the game. He forced his twin sons to compete for his attention. His wife tried to keep their daughter out of his attention because she was easily the strongest in the Force of the five of them. The wife wasn't banished in the fifth trailer, the daughter was taken away to basically be brainwashed and tortured until she became the father's perfect weapon. Something the trailers don't indicate is that the mother was the leader of that empire's own knighthood of Force users that were neither Jedi nor Sith but an order based around duty to the empire (much like the royal guards in Black Panther).
It was cool to see you notice the armor difference. You're right, these guys were constantly at war back then so they had very different standards compared to the modern era. An interesting thing to note is that just about any jedi or sith from that then would completely wipe the floor with any of their prequel equivalents with only a few exceptions. Old era force users were absolute monsters on either side of the force.
I love these cinematics! They are so good. Though some of these (#2 & 3) were with "updated" narrations, and I (personally) prefer the Original narrations. "That soldier is a BEAST!" - I loved that part the most! It showed that while 'yes', Sith & Jedi ARE more powerful (and can use the Force to enhance themselves physically to be more powerful too) than most people, they are NOT unbeatable nor indestructible. So, if you are strong & capable, you'll "probably" still lose, but you might as well TRY.
Tenebrae/ Vitiate was one of the most powerful Sith capable to go full ghost and take over the bodies of other people like Valkorion. It was not a 3rd party, it was still Sith and turned his children Sith. That is why he was distant and despised when the 2 twin brothers got along. And he was pleased when one killed the other.
@@WarriorHumble24 Also, at this point the Sith empire are... no longer associated with him. It emerged that he was planning to ritually consume the life force of every sentient being in the galaxy and the Dark Council weren't keen on either being consumed or having no actual empire to rule. The body/persona of him that was planning the galaxy eating was killed, semi-relatedly, by one of the Jedi PCs. Those cinematics depict his... backup civilisation/other family that he'd been cultivating in his spare time just outside the galaxy, and after his Sith empire rejected him he decided to destroy them along with the Republic. He wasn't running the other civilisation like an evil empire though, and the citizens mostly think he's great. Their force tradition isn't really dark or light so much as... patriotic for the rank-and-file force-sensitive troops but he and his kids skew obviously hard darkside.
@@WarriorHumble24 He is wrong. It IS third party. Valkorian explains that the Sith Empire is just a failed experiment and Eternal Empire wais perfection in his opinion where people are as free if not more so than in the Republic. Not much if at all slavery unlike Sith Empire where slavery is everywhere. The knights you see that follow Arcan and Texan and train with them are NOT Sith. Those that corrupt Vaylen however, might be.
Zakup was meant to be perfect, not the entire Eternal Empire. Not sure. I did this comment over editing previous 1 because when I wish to edit,it is completely white impossible to find edit function. Also writing comments letters often change colour to black or dark grey perhaps so it is nearly impossible to see what I write so I need to be real careful what I type and hope auto correct won't do too much damage.
Blur Studio did the trailers. All their stuff is top notch. (They also did the opening of Deadpool) by the way, if you enjoyed the SWtOR trailers, they did some really epic trailers for Elder Scrolls Online too. And thanks for sharing a genuine reaction trailer.
If you do the original Old Republic storylines with all the extra quests, it tells a lot of the history on both sides. All 8 storylines are unique, some better than others, but gives a different perspective of the time back then. The lore that is laid is very fascinating. The amount of voice actors is also amazing. It was like over 200 voice actors.
Lol and thats just the original game. You have shadows or revan, rise of the hutt cartel (2 expansions with no cinemetic) then you have eternal throne and fallen empire (the expansions for the last 2 cinematics all with unique storylines and quests and lore. and of course the newest one with the cinematic you didn't see.@@WarriorHumble24
Satele is able to block the lightsaber blade for a short time the same way Vader was able to deflect Han's blaster bolts on Bespin with his hands. Some Jedi lines had the ability to absorb and redirect energy. Skywalker, Revan and Halcyon lines are the most commonly known to have this ability.
It's called Tutaminis and it's different from what Vader did, Vader was just force deflecting, a better example is Yoda absorbing Dooku's and Palpatine's force lightning.
Bro said it dead on. The Sith designs in the Old Republic era are absolutely fantastic. Bit biased for me too since Darth Malgus is probably my favorite "Sith"/ Darskside character. He's pretty in-depth and has a very cool story. Also a little fact, in the second trailer when Satele Shan launches her big ole kamehameha force blast when Malgus is against the wall, it most likely should've killed him, but Malgus being Malgus he conjured the force to save himself from being crushed by it all.
Legends just has many awesome Sith that canon has no comparison to from awesome rule of 2 Sith Like Darth Tenebrous and Plagueis to the one Sith like Darth Krayt, Darth Wyrlok III and many more to badasses like Darth Marr,Darth Jadus or beasts like Naga Sadow, Ludo Kressh, Marka Ragnoss, king Adas, Darth Nihilus, Darth Andeddu and so much more.
5:35 That's because it's made by the same company (Corellian Engineering Corporation). It's a heavily-modified XS Stock Light Freighter. Also, the XS SLF is the predecessor to the YT-1000, which is the predecessor to the YT-1300, the model that the Millennium Falcon is. 10:40 Tuteminis. Same Force ability Yoda used in ROTS to absorb Darth Sidious' Force Lightning. Except Jedi of the Old Republic era could use it to a far higher degree. 12:55 A Mandalorian named Shae Vizla (aka. Mandalore the Avenger). She is *not* a Vizsla (as-in Tarre, Tor, and Pre Vizsla). Her name is just similar. 16:24 Not quite. In Legends/Pre-Disney canon, yellow sabers were used in the modern era by Sentinel-class Jedi and Jedi Temple Guards. However, thousands of years ago, there existed a third Force Order, called the Eternal Empire. They were neither Jedi Order nor Sith Empire. Not benevolent like the Jedi, but not straight-up evil like the Sith, either. This faction was wiped out LONG before the modern era. And within it, only Arcann and Thexan wielded yellow-bladed sabers. Everyone else wielded blue sabers (the Knights of Zakuul). 19:27 The thing was that there could only be ONE son to inherit the Eternal Throne. But unfortunately, Valkorion/Darth Vitiate had twin sons. So he was dissatisfied that both kept returning (and therefore neither was stronger than the other). But when Arcann gave in to his hate and tried to kill Valkorion, (killing Thexan in the process), he proved himself worthy. Which is why Valkorion finally calls Arcann "son." 21:42 No. The daughter (Vaylin) was taken by her father (Valkorion) for training because she proved herself immensely powerful. But the mother (Senya) didn't want that.
Hey everyone, many of the comments is saying I missed one trailer that was the most recent that came out and it is the "Disorder" Legacy of the Sith trailer. Here is the link to the reaction video: th-cam.com/video/zfUu9PyUbHU/w-d-xo.html
It was the cinematics that showed me that the makers understood Star Wars, and I happily gave my money to play. It was playing the game and having to smack things over and over again with a lightsaber like it was a florescent pillow fight that showed me that the makers had no understanding of Star Wars and I took my money home.
the old emperor projected his soul or something into the future, you (player character) had been in stasis, long time passed and yeah he's just torching both sides, not the best idea for a soft reboot/faction meld but it was better than "Somehow, Palpatine returned." highly recommend the game too, if you've played WoW, it's that but SW, and quest pick ups and turn ins are animated and voiced conversations, pick responses get light or dark side points, also after the first few levels you get a companion that you can switch rolls heal/tank/dps
By the way, Warrior Humble, don't know if anybody is told you in the comments but the Beast is Satele Shan's (Super Jedi) husband. Anybody trying to hack up her fella tends to get on her Dark Side! Also, how she blocked Malgus' lightsaber with her hand is the advanced form of Tutaminis, like what Yoda used used to capture or redirect Tyranus' and Sidious' Force lightning. Though Shan is only one ever to do that against a Sith of Malgus' power. That's one lady who is a perfect combination of lovely and lethal! Yes, that is Malgus and the Twi'lek who came with him was his wife. He later sacrificed her to the Dark Side to sever his last Light Side emotion, love.
Jace Malcolm actually wasn't Satele's husband. They had a fling after the Battle of Alderaan that lasted a few months. That led to their son Theron who is the main character in the Annihilation novel. Also Elena Daru wasn't the wife of Malgus, just his lover. I think the video game says she might be his wife, but the book Deceived clearly states she's just a lover. Which The Old Republic novels are probably the best books in Legends.
Ive always called these cinematics mini movies And its just that good And the fact they end up being so important in terms of some story context For example the jedi leading the defence of the temple who falls to the badass that is darth malgus His death is a focal point for a companion quest for the jedi knight character, that conpanion being the droid T7 who we see in both return and deceived
There are actually two different force techniques that would explain how she could block a lightsaber with her bare hands. The first is called tutaminis and is basically just absorbing energy from outside sources and using it as a temporary boost to your force powers. The second is the ability to embeu
Hi. having played The Old Republic for over year from early 2021 to mid 2022(I gave up on it, because I didn't have the patience for it) but I found it mildly entertaining. The story takes place 3,000 some years before the Battle Of Yavin, not 10,000 years. Also, the graphics aren't nearly as good as the cinematic trailers. I don't know these graphics were achieved in 2010, but still these trailers are damn good! The whole era and Jedi wearing armor was established in the Dark Horse published "Tales Of the Jedi"(which is where first game in the series: Knights Of The Old Republic devs got the idea to set the game(s) in this era.) This story is set 4,000 years before the Battle Of Yavin. It is the story of three young Jedi: Ulic Qel-Droma, his brother Cay Qel-Droma, and Twilek Tott Doneeta who were trained by Master Arca Jeth. Arca sends them on a mission to the planet Onderon(which has been incorporated in to the cannon, as these comics were Expanded Universe, and now changed to "Legends") they have to deal with the so called "Beast Lords" who are the decendants of the criminals the first King and Queen banished in to the wild. The current King and Queen are actually decendants of an Jedi turned Sith named Freedon Nadd who lived 400 years before that. Ulic, Cay and Tott have deal with the Queen, since the King is dying, and he is never really depicted. Anyway, if you can find the comic series, good for you. It was published way back in 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1996. I don't know how old you are, but you seem young, so I assumed you never heard of the comic series this whole era the games use. I really like these trailers alot more than I liked the game, which was unfortunate, because, I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I prefer to play Jedi Fallen Order. Great commentary though!
the third party in the Knights of the Fallen Empire and Eternal Throne is called the Eternal Empire, ruled by the Valkorian and his children. They were initially raiding Republic and Imperial worlds on their borders in Wild Space before Arcann (The guy. in the mask) takes the throne and sweeps the Republic and the Sith, before his sister (in the second Eternal trailer) takes the throne.
what was espaccialy intriguing about that game was that ist was not good or bad but the handling of emotions that seperrated sith and jedi, while the later preached a serene mind and the calmness. The sith said that it is important to feel then all, my first character was a sith that was focused on love and compassion, very strong feelings they used as guide line for every action, at the end of the story, they became Darth Imperious the name for light side sith inquisitors.
This game takes place far into the Star wars past, the Extended Universe to be more precise since Disney decided they wanted to change all and mange to make such a mess. Anyone who want to play this old star wars MMO, reading old Dark horse star wars comics about the origin of the Jedi, sith and such plus playing the old singleplayer games "Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic I" and II gives a lot of background lore that one comes upon in the MMO. Also the Rule of two that you mentioned was only implemented about 1000 years before the movies whereas this MMO takes places 3000 years before the movies so its a long time before Darth Bane and his rule of two.
Will, the first 3 videos are of the daughter of Revan. And the Sith who killed his master is the version of Vader, in really tough all black armor, the only difference is Darth Malgus has all of his limbs and isn't limited on force abilities or forms of lightsaber combat. Now, for the other which is Knights of the Eternal Empire. The emperor was killed, but his spirit left for another body to rule in several galaxies away. He built a grand new army and has twin sons and a daughter. The twins went to kill both Jedi and Sith because with each death the father grew stronger making it a shorter time to become immortal rather than waiting on Sith and Jedi to kill.
These trailers are always amazing to watch, as so many other said, the game is worth playing simply for the story, everything is voice acted (wich at the time was crazy for an MMO) and you can make some choices that actually impact how your story play out. And if you wanna play it all, there are 8 classes with very diffrent stories, some of my favorites were Sith Warrior and Imperial Agent, Smuggler is decent.
You also select light or dark side for your actions. I found being a dark republic trooper was a lot of fun, but the imperial agent might have the best storyline.
the original first 3 are the best ones, so that with be "Return", "Hope" and "Deceived". they were originally released in reversed order, in the time-line it is return-hope-deceived. you meet all the main antagonists and protagonists in these cinematics in the game, even the smuggler guy with the cool ship. what happened in these 3 first trailers here is before the game begins. the event in that third trailer is called "the sacking of Coruscant", where the sith destroyed the jedi temple. this explanes why you start on the planet that you do as a Jedi knight or Jedi consular class in the game.
Something people need to notice, Satele same as her great... grandmother Bastila, both are super sensitive to the force, that's why in the first cinematic she can feel the force so easily, she felt the arrival of the sith and the death of her master, non other force user has ever shown this trait before, this means the Shan family are super strong with the force.
It took a bad turn when it became part of Disney. But in my opinion Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are the ones holding it down with great Star Wars shows
10:36 Tutaminis. The ability to stop or deflect energy with the force. It's how Vader stops blaster bolts with his hand and how Yoda stops Force Lightning. It can also be used to stop a Lightwave, but it is extremely unlikely for one to do as it leaves them exposed to force attacks or physical
Many people complained (and still do) how epic the trailers look and the game itself having a cartoon like graphic. Bioware once adressed that in a patchnote saying something like "We could switch the full game to trailer graphics if we wanted. We could do it anytime, BUT we wont. We know its cartoony / outdated, however we go with this graphic, because we dont want our customers buying a new pc every other year to keep up with the system demands." When i red that i was like WOW thats a cool thing to say. Other studios wouldnt care.
@@GameslordXYThey failed to learn the lesson of the Game of Thrones disaster: Don't try to continue the story of a master storyteller without that storyteller's input. If, instead of trying to continue Lucas' story, they had made a series of movies about Revan's fall and redemption, then followed up with a SW:TOR series, it could have been epic.
2:18 not really, that there is Nico Okarr 26:35 that is a popular misunderstanding, the rule of two that Darth Bane set up didn't mean only 2 Sith and exist. it meant that the master will always have an apprentice that plots to overthrow him or her
Yeah, I said that because his dialogue, mannerism and how he talks about his ship is similar to Han Solo so I wouldn't be surprised if he was related to Han Solo.
@@WarriorHumble24 he's not, he's just another smuggler character, neither he nor the class character smuggler will be related to him. just like the bounty hunter character will not be related to the Fetts
"We fight knowing that a single spark of courage can ignite the fires of hope for peace in the galaxy" was such a good line. Why did they remove it, I wonder?
One thing i have always heard was, "why are sith apprentice able to every now and then go toe to toe with a jedi master." And what I have explained is that many times sith lords are so steeped in the sith sorcery that their physical bodies have started to regress. While an apprentice is more in their prime and tend to be more focused on lightsaber combat than using the darkside like lightning and sith sorcery. Not to mention they have a lot to lose for dying, given why they tend to use "underhanded tactics" in order to get the best of someone as strong as a jedi master. Now obviously there are outliers not to mention depending heavily on events going on during such times. AKA the high republic era or the pre clone wars era where the sith were in hiding so such combats where practically non-existent. Most will disregard my comments. But im speaking from being in immersed in star wars from the time i was 5 till now as a 30 year old. Im not going to sit here and claim to be an expert or anything like that. But given so much evidence from movies, books, comics, and such it hard to disagree in my opinion
this is my first time watching you're videos. as soon as you named you're 3 favorites Lord of the rings, Star wars & Assassin's creed fan. i also love those world & stories from those universes. but my number 1 will always be mass effect trilogy absolutely love the whole story & universe. Dragon age is another game trilogy i love have you ever played any of them? also recently got into Warhammer 40k i am the 4th legion. great lore in that universe as well should give it a check. may you're roads lead you to warm sands.
Thank you, I appreciate it! I have played Mass Effect trilogy and I have to say it is AMAZING. As for Dragon Age, I haven't really got into it so I may check it out someday.
its a big statement to introduce yourself as a Star Wars fan (and gamer) when somehow not seeing these trailers at all in last 12~ years they were out :P But yeah these are really good, and overall i think old republic era is the coolest one with most craziest and awesome characters. Also it's worth to point out at that time both Jedi and Siths were much more powerful, like being able to stop a lightsaber with hands, it's not an easy skill that everyone can use (dont quote me on that but i believe this is similiar to what Yoda used in movies to stop Palpatin's electricity), but this is one of skills that was lost in time And battles like Jedi vs Sith were not uncommon, at least until famous battle where Darth Bane killed of all Siths and created rule of 2
If you want to know how the sith empire fell in the end and the rule of two began, then read the Darth bane trilogy. Why can't we have a show like these
Got it! I know about Darth Bane. I remember him in a Clone Wars episode with Yoda encountering him and just learning about him in lore. That's how I learned about the rule of two.
@@WarriorHumble24 yeah the Darth bane books are considered some of the best of Legends and while you're at it there are a couple books that take place during the timeline of Star wars the Old Republic. Fatal alliance is especially cool as it deals with the sacking of coruscant. Come to the dark side of the fandom and learn what the legends expanded universe can show you lol also we have cookies!
HEY GUYS!
AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT! This is currently the most viewed video on my channel and I'm glad to meet so many other people who are passionate about STAR WARS as much as I am!
I GOT 3 QUESTIONS:
100% Play the game it's amazing
i agree 100% play the game... i have been playing since 2014 off/on its F2P (mostly) or $15 unlocks all xpanisions + more i think everyone should play atleast a couple different class stories =)
Dude you missed a the last and major trailer
@@ckooakley no it's on the channel.
These cutscenes are so epic, I’ve never gotten tired of watching them
it is for sure..... i play this game before alittle but i got back into it to play for fun im doing the Sith side first then the Jedi
Thanks for the info! 👍 appreciate it
it's actually 10 yeras after the treatty of coruscant if I'm remebering correctly
I was gonna say it thought is was 10 years after treaty and 20 years after start of the war. Also isn’t it 300 years after KOTOR thus 3700 years before prequels? I still think the best way to watch these trailers is in original release trailer and order
@@dmajpayne89 Yep. 3700 years.
@@WraithReaper09Any idea who those Jedi Temple guards are that confront Reven all white and grey kinda look like rebels.
When a 5-min game trailers have better storytelling, a much deeper plot, and much better character development than all Disney full length movies combined

Honestly, this stuff is even better than 75% of the prequels too.

@@ZackaryBiagiNot really... Prequels slap...😊
@@neddhu HAHAHAHAHA you funny. as funny as Jar-Jar.
Agreed, the story is one of the best Star Wars stories!
The faction is called "The Eternal Empire". Zakuul is their homeworld

too bad the game didn't live up to the hype

That's a force technique called Tutaminis. It allows the user to absorb and redirect energy, in essence. We see Yoda use it twice in the Prequel trilogy to absorb lightning from both Dooku and Palpatine
I thought it was different since it was a lightsaber instead of lightning
@@WarriorHumble24 Nah. It could be used with all forms of energy, whether that was a blaster, lightsaber, etc.
@@freezer-monkey Got it. Thanks again!
If you read the Legends novels, it's similar to the energy absorption abilities the Horn/Halcyon line of Jedi specialize in.
Thanks for the info!
And now your Republic shall fall!"
"Deceived" is also the name of that cinematic btw.
@@SWCentralMaybe they could have changed that one 300 years line to a 1000 years instead of rewriting everything? Thx for all the context btw.
@firecat4529 it's for licensing reasons. A whole bunch of terms had to be changed to keep Disney happy. And music.

And also the same technique Yoda uses to absorb the Force Lightning from Sidious.@@WarriorHumble24
Great info!
Absolutely! I was playing the game alot at the time and I was blown away. From a GAME! When I heard about about The Force Awakens, this is what I expected. Man, am I disappointed. Star Wars has now been ruined by toxic feminists and their agendas, so sad and depressing...
Those trailers epicness bring tears to my eyes. The creators managed to make literally everyone look unimaginable powerful.

2:14 Satele is already sensing the 'darkness' from the Force... that kind of sensitivity is really, really, really rare. Also, the hat that the smuggler has... Cad Bane would kill for that.
Satele is on a different level! Also knowing Cad Bane, he would've stolen the ship as well and shot the Jedi along the way.

Glad to see you liked the trailers. Pretty spectacular all around, especially since some of those have been around since like 2010. However, you did miss the newest trailer, 'Disorder'. Yeah the characters said different words
Lightsaber colors were always, ultimately, cosmetic lol. or to fit the tone of a character.
But there were a lot of powerful named siths like Nihilus, Bane, Malgus as shown in the trailers and most known in my opinion, Revan.
Some of the names I recognize like Revan and Malak from the Knights of the Old Republic game and other videos I've seen.
Thanks for the info!
When the game first dropped the second trailer convinced me to play a Republic Trooper in the game.
I've been getting these recommendations a few times by others too. I'm checking those out
The game story of each class is so amazing Vanguard Trooper T ank was my jam!
I'm aware of the fact you play as different class characters, and they all have unique skills. Looking forward to playing it one day!
Just wanna say you're refreshingly sharp! You definitely know a lot about Star Wars, and what you don't know you were excited to learn about in the comments from what I've seen. It's satisfying to watch a reaction where someone takes in all of the details intelligently and immediately interprets the story correctly!
Thanks! I appreciate your words! 🙏 I've been a huge fan of Star Wars since I was about 7.
I love how majority of these cinematics is just showing Malgus flexing.
It was mentioned who he was, but not the Havoc Squad part. Thanks for the info! 👍
Hah! Didn't know Jace was originally Havoc.
@@thomasjoychild4962 yeah pretty sure he is at least. Been a while since I've read up on his lore, but even if he's not he's still one of those troopers trained to take on sith.
@@AgentLevi He's a character voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, I just assume they're pretty capable :P
Thanks again!
The one with the brothers and the girl weren't part of the game trailers for knights of the old republic, but they are stories (I'm not really sure when they fall but I think around the same time.)
I've watched these videos sooooo many times and they never fail to give me chills!!! The stylization and design and story are so good.
Got it! Also my reaction to the Disorder Trailer is on the channel as well
It was cool to see you notice the armor difference.
Thank you! I noticed how armored up everyone was compared to everyone in the movies so it was a big difference to see
@@WarriorHumble24
Yeah,Kao Cen Darach(the Jedi Battle master from first trailer)survived a stab thanks to that armour which briefly saved his life.
If only people in star wars were smart enough to stop using inferior, slow, blasters and use real guns.
That soldier Jace Malcolm also had far supperior armor than say Stormsuckers.
@@zeehero7280
Perhaps they don't have bullets in SW.
And perhaps blasters have unlimited "ammo" until they brake or something.
Thanks for the info! 👍
@@WarriorHumble24
He is wrong.
Those that corrupt Vaylen however, might be.
.
Zakup was meant to be perfect, not the entire Eternal Empire.
Not sure.

Blur Studio did the trailers. All their stuff is top notch.
(They also did the opening of Deadpool)
by the way, if you enjoyed the SWtOR trailers, they did some really epic trailers for Elder Scrolls Online too.
And thanks for sharing a genuine reaction trailer.
Thank you I appreciate it! I did react to the Elder Scrolls Online cinematics as well: th-cam.com/video/oAsi8lJH6Ao/w-d-xo.html
The novels of the old republic are absolutely amazing too man. Some of these trailer moments in them as well
so cool that you got to enjoy these cinematics. they're so fantastic and so much fun :)
They really are! 👍
Even though you didn't say much, I still enjoyed watching this with you.
Thanks brother! I was just amazed at the cinematics, lightsaber choreography, designs and more so that's why.
8 storylines and over 200 voice actors?! Sounds like a very long game. Sounds great!
@@WarriorHumble24
It is for the most part though level design isn't most brilliant.
this shows that the old republic is ideal for a movie setting..they could create masterpieces with fights of more than one or 2 jedi or sith..
I agree
Satele is able to block the lightsaber blade for a short time the same way Vader was able to deflect Han's blaster bolts on Bespin with his hands. Some Jedi lines had the ability to absorb and redirect energy. Skywalker, Revan and Halcyon lines are the most commonly known to have this ability.
Got it so it's kind of like a rare ability I'm assuming considering only a few so far can do it.
Malgus had like a punctured lung, crawled his way to Sith forces and still killed like 2 jedi on the way.
Which is why Valkorion finally calls Arcann "son."
21:42 No. The daughter (Vaylin) was taken by her father (Valkorion) for training because she proved herself immensely powerful. But the mother (Senya) didn't want that.
Thanks for the info!
Vaylen was tormented and her power contained.
Got it! Thanks! 👍
Ive always called these cinematics mini movies
And its just that good
And the fact they end up being so important in terms of some story context
For example the jedi leading the defence of the temple who falls to the badass that is darth malgus
His death is a focal point for a companion quest for the jedi knight character, that conpanion being the droid T7 who we see in both return and deceived
They really are good 👍. Rather have these as movies rather than episodes 7-9 personally
Would love to see a movie with this animation with Revan and Bastila, perhaps a "what if" with either light or dark side
So kinda like the Knights of the Old Republic game, but in movie format?
There are actually two different force techniques that would explain how she could block a lightsaber with her bare hands. The first is called tutaminis and is basically just absorbing energy from outside sources and using it as a temporary boost to your force powers. The second is the ability to embeu
Embeu?
Never heard of it.
Could they be same thing under different name?
14:42 That denying gesture of his explains it all.
It's like "look at this, look at how freaking awesome this looks compared to disney stuff".
That's pretty accurate! Lol
Oh Boi thanks for reminding me how much i loved star wars before disney ^^
Hi. having played The Old Republic for over year from early 2021 to mid 2022(I gave up on it, because I didn't have the patience for it) but I found it mildly entertaining. The story takes place 3,000 some years before the Battle Of Yavin, not 10,000 years. Also, the graphics aren't nearly as good as the cinematic trailers. I don't know these graphics were achieved in 2010, but still these trailers are damn good! The whole era and Jedi wearing armor was established in the Dark Horse published "Tales Of the Jedi"(which is where first game in the series: Knights Of The Old Republic devs got the idea to set the game(s) in this era.)
This story is set 4,000 years before the Battle Of Yavin.
She isn’t Revan’s daughter
If that's the case, then Revan and Bastila Shan were just in the friend zone.🤔@@kianvandenberg6364
Best star wars movie since star wars ⚡️🔥✨️
These trailers are always amazing to watch, as so many other said, the game is worth playing simply for the story, everything is voice acted (wich at the time was crazy for an MMO) and you can make some choices that actually impact how your story play out. And if you wanna play it all, there are 8 classes with very diffrent stories, some of my favorites were Sith Warrior and Imperial Agent, Smuggler is decent.
You also select light or dark side for your actions. I found being a dark republic trooper was a lot of fun, but the imperial agent might have the best storyline.
Star Wars could take notice. They perfectly utilised slow motion sequences.
The first battle is one of, if not, my favourite ever battle. So awesome
the original first 3 are the best ones, so that with be "Return", "Hope" and "Deceived". they were originally released in reversed order, in the time-line it is return-hope-deceived.
you meet all the main antagonists and protagonists in these cinematics in the game, even the smuggler guy with the cool ship. what happened in these 3 first trailers here is before the game begins. the event in that third trailer is called "the sacking of Coruscant", where the sith destroyed the jedi temple. this explanes why you start on the planet that you do as a Jedi knight or Jedi consular class in the game.
Need more of this legends spread to Star Wars fans
Agreed 💯!

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT MALGUS! O_O
😂
loved watching this haha, glad to see you enjoyed the trailers!
Thanks! I appreciate it! 👍
Something people need to notice, Satele same as her great... grandmother Bastila, both are super sensitive to the force, that's why in the first cinematic she can feel the force so easily, she felt the arrival of the sith and the death of her master, non other force user has ever shown this trait before, this means the Shan family are super strong with the force.
game was great too, theyjust fell short releasing timely content and fixing bugs. but still one of my favorite MMO's
In the second and third cinematic:, I never understood why they changed the narration. It was more than awesome the way the originals were!
Agreed! I never thought there was a dubbed version so that part sucks the fact I saw this version to be honest.
the era of the old republic in SWTOR sets 3 600 years before battle of Yavin, not 10 000 !
Grew up watching these and wish star wars could be like this
It took a bad turn when it became part of Disney.
12:55 Indeed that's an Old Republic Mandalorian, her name's Shae Vizla
With lore so rich I just can't believe how the sequel trilogy just drops the ball
Apparently Lucas wanted sequel trilogy to be something different than what we got,but Kathleen Kennedy or perhaps Disney replaced with garbage we got.
2:18 not really, that there is Nico Okarr
26:35 that is a popular misunderstanding, the rule of two that Darth Bane set up didn't mean only 2 Sith and exist. it meant that the master will always have an apprentice that plots to overthrow him or her
Yeah, I said that because his dialogue, mannerism and how he talks about his ship is similar to Han Solo so I wouldn't be surprised if he was related to Han Solo.

11:30 "but then, I won't be surprised if he survived"

"We fight knowing that a single spark of courage can ignite the fires of hope for peace in the galaxy" was such a good line. Why did they remove it, I wonder?
I liked that line! This is dubbed so the lines are different I'm afraid 😔
This game is great for any Star Wars fan.
Thanks for sharing! I got into Star Wars at a young age around 6 or 7 and now, I'm 25 and still love it!
it also depends on the combat style matchup too. some are just more skilled in 1v1 duels than others
this is my first time watching you're videos. as soon as you named you're 3 favorites Lord of the rings, Star wars & Assassin's creed fan. i also love those world & stories from those universes. but my number 1 will always be mass effect trilogy absolutely love the whole story & universe. Thank you, I appreciate it! I have played Mass Effect trilogy and I have to say it is AMAZING. As for Dragon Age, I haven't really got into it so I may check it out someday.
My thought's exactly :)
its a big statement to introduce yourself as a Star Wars fan (and gamer) when somehow not seeing these trailers at all in last 12~ years they were out :P
But yeah these are really good, and overall i think old republic era is the coolest one with most craziest and awesome characters.
Also it's worth to point out at that time both Jedi and Siths were much more powerful, like being able to stop a lightsaber with hands, it's not an easy skill that everyone can use (dont quote me on that but i believe this is similiar to what Yoda used in movies to stop Palpatin's electricity), but this is one of skills that was lost in time
And battles like Jedi vs Sith were not uncommon, at least until famous battle where Darth Bane killed of all Siths and created rule of 2
If you want to know how the sith empire fell in the end and the rule of two began, then read the Darth bane trilogy.
