I really enjoy seeing how you use your time in Thailand. Over the years I've seen so many people chase the dream retirement in Pattaya, only to end up drinking themselves to death at the same bar every day. I have a friend in Pattaya who plays golf most days (before Covid) and I really think it's important to have something like that to do as a hobby that takes up a lot of your time and creates a social crowd of friends.
I totally agree with the idea of playing golf on greens that have no idea what "winter kill" is not to mention the pretty Thai gals who caddy for you and know the course like the back of their dainty hands.
Looking at retirement myself in a couple of years, my wife is Thai but she wants to head back to Issan and go back to farming myself who has spent a liftime working as a Gardener thinks that’s stupid why retire to go farming I’m more interested in the idea of Pattaya in a nice friendly Bar somewhere with Aircon more of a sports bar I think skipping the Bar girls fir normal bar staff.
@@groundsmen1 Just dont go the way that guy from the UK did.He sank all of his life savings into his Thai wife's pig farm in Issan and built a new house and when he was out of money she chucked him to the curb.He had to go back to Britain at 55 and start over with NOTHING.
Yet another really enjoyable video. My wife and I are just a few years from retirement and we are planning on wintering in warmer climes. Before the lockdowns, we would usually go on trips 2 or 3 times a year all over the world. We want to get over to Malaysia and back to Thailand to recce out places we can stay for 4 - 6 months each year to escape the Canadian winters. Your videos have certainly put Pattaya on our list.

Fresh pan fried fish from the day's catch is tasty. That swimming spot right off the boat was great too! It reminded me of the last boat excursion I went on the last time I was in Phuket.

Looks a great day, best time to go. Once from ocean marina we sailed to koh larn and anchored up to this beach. You could only really get to this beach in question by boat. Was unspoilt and Brill. Had a similar day to you. Wasn't my yacht by the way, we were doing ocean miles to put on our passbook for the sailing course we were doing. Great day all the thai ladies really enjoyed themselves. Again well done Lucas. Pattaya can be what you make it into. Bri and frei east Yorkshire.

The small island that you guys were swimming off ,is where Neil Armstrong and Bob hope visited during the early 70s there hand prints were set I concrete like a kind of hall of fame,did see them back in 1985 when I visited that small island my friend barny was stationed at u tapo during the Vietnam conflict he used to tell me about pattaya and have been going to Thailand every year since ,except last December due to the pandemic hope to get back for December this year keep safe dav from scotland

Some great times around Koh Lan island R4K really worth taking the big boat out so much room for a good size party of people on board. Food looked great 👍 I must have missed when you said how much it was... Boating, fishing, swimming, and eating out on the water during a beautiful day. This so reminds me of when my family would take our Kayot pontoon out on Gull Lake near Brainerd Minnesota. The pontoon was very comfortable, had a wooden captain's steering wheel (my dad insisted on this), and also included a small kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, and freezer. We spent many evenings out on the lake traveling along the shoreline and viewing the lines of pine trees in the background. Gull Lake has inlets to seven other lakes we could visit. Many times we'd tie the pontoon to a dock in front of a restaurant and take in a special evening meal. Great seeing you and everyone having a good time. Almost had some underwater cam? :-)
Never been but definitely thought about it . The turn off was seeing bus loads of Indians & China folks herded onto cattle boats. Your boat ride was dope. Count me in ....When tripping stops being a crime

Enjoying the vlogs from Thailand, normally would be there right now, but can not wait to get back there and see all the improvements and when international travel allowed for us Aussies I reckon I'll be there for months on end to make up for lost time, considering the amount of leave I will have built up.

You can hire boats anywhere around Thailand, also Indonesia and Philippines, have done it over the years, the best ones are probably the trips around El Nido and see the underwater shipwrecks around Coron in Palawan!
nice day on the water, if you ever visit south Texas, try fishing in the Laguna Madre, -still never know what you are going to catch. *but we do have size limits in Texas so little ones on many types have to be tossed back, and even slot limits on some species where if they are larger than a certain size we have to throw them back.
This made for an interesting vid, have you ever considered trying scuba? it opens up so much to see under the sea. At the depths you are describing there is so much to see, some incredible sights just below the waves. Try it, its addictive and a whole lot of fun.

Nice size puffer. I would of kept that one. I was taught how to clean those by an eldery Japanese resident of South Florida.( so that the neuro toxin in the liver did not contaminate the meat ).
The young lady that changed over to the red swimsuit was really hot & sexy. ( she seemed to be catching the camera eye ) she was really enjoying herself.
For over 20 years of cleaning Atlantic Puffer fish and eating them I have never had a Mishap. I do not need a license since I am not selling the fillets for others' consumption.

What a cool day that would be for a few guys and their ladies. I would have wanted to join the captain snorkeling for some other fish and stuff.

Always set the hook and wear gloves ...those lines can cut if you get a big enough fish 🐠

He actually caught about 3 like that I believe.
Don’t do that please! You need a license to clean puffer fish, even in Japan. It’s incredibly dangerous for an amateur chef.
