There are something like 300 countries in the world and maybe only a handful that are not very affordable, for a successful, established American especially. Imagine going to Central or South America to find a woman. Flying under 5 hours instead of traveling 24-30+ hours to the Philippines. There is this kneejerk, almost suicidal empathy for that country with passport bros. "Yeah there's a lot bureaucracy and everyone is on island time" - no it's well beyond that. It took me a long time to realize but everyone not upper middle class or higher in that country remind me of black Americans I grew up with in Chicago. Even black Americans want to escape that so why move 8000 miles to live amongst it? If it's not a condo or gated community with everything you need within a few miles, you messed up.
Leaving the girl he still loves, moving too another island and suddenly paranoid about safety. Sounds like her ex may be the primary driver of his catastrophic relationship failure
I think his ex wife acts a little to much like western women I don't want my Filipina girlfriend acting like that am trying to escape that and come over there.
She used his clout for her own traction. The TH-camr game is not for the feint of heart and once you're "hooked" on the optics, it's near impossible to get out.
These TH-camrs are not trustworthy to say the least. A separation and devoice are to different things. A legal separation is when a married couple decides to live separately, but remains legally married. A divorce is the legal dissolution of marriage - meaning the court terminates the marriage's legal.
Depending on the US State you are from: You have to be a resident for a certain amount of time, before the County or state accepts your petition for divorce. (some states is 6 months). In some states, you must serve a summons to the defendent, the person you are divorcing and that person must answer the summons. You must present proof of service to the court. The clerk of the court is the one that mails the a certified copy of the divorce decree to the defendent. The Defendent may also pick up a copy at the court house where the divorce was granted. And/or the defendent may recieve certified copy by mail. Please note: This is not legal advice. Hire an attorney for any legal matters.
@@gordonb1737 The United States recognizes your marriage in the Philippines. Contact the office of the Attorney General of the state where you live. They can help you and tell you about any documentation you may need to provide to petition the County and state for divorce where you live in the US.
This guy says he lives on income from the 401K Savings Plan that he and his employer funded during his working years. Fair enough. Then he says he is paying social security tax on that income, presumably increasing his future benefit. This is complete nonsense and absolutely false. His benefit won’t increase one cent unless he goes back to work. 401K withdrawals are only subject to income tax, not social security tax, as the social security tax (7.65%) on that money was already paid as it was placed into the 401K. Also, you must pay a 10% tax penalty, in addition to the normal income tax, if withdrawing before the age of 59 1/2 years. There are limited exceptions such as total disability but he doesn’t look completely disabled. I am not calling the guy a liar or a expect everyone to be a tax accountant but what he says here is completely false.
Generally speaking, the foreigners that have the most success in PH are those that have lots of money. They can handle the inevitable demands of their Filipina wives and girlfriends and still have money left over at month's end to add to savings. Unfortunately, that's not how most of we expats are financially configured. The youtubers tell you $2 ,000 per month, and you're pretty much on your way. Truth is $2,000 per month isn't that much money here, particularly when you factor in healthcare costs and other unplanned expenses. But all that said, I still wouldn't live anywhere else.
So we get advice for years about how great Filipina's are and how great your relationship are, only to see that it is no different than anywhere. Okay, I don't know if it is her fault or his fault or both, but it doesn't matter, just the fantasy bubble has popped. We have people with failed relationships telling us how great their new relationship in the Philippines is so much better only to see them have a failed relationship in the Philippines if we wait long enough. One divorce is enough, don't get remarried unless it is final, that is your going to kick the bucket in a few years and you want to give your assets to someone.
I think the divorce rate in the states is up to 60 percent.. if it wasn’t for the fact that a lot of married couples have kids, or divorce lawyers basically rape you I think it would be 80 percent or more 😖😖 I don’t know any of my friends that got married when they were young that are still married..
I don't see that at all. You're welcome to speak for yourself, though. The way I see it, Filipina culture is FAR more conducive to lasting relationships (and indeed, allowing the relation to even exist in the first place), versus Western culture that values independence and has sadly embraced toxic attitudes towards men in many cases. That said, cultural differences alone are not enough to prevent some relationships from failing. As wonderful as they are, Filipinas are as human as the rest of us, and sometimes relationships fail because of the man, anyway with no fault of her. (speaking in general here).

If you marry filipina you are legally obligated to support her and her relatives. It's the law but most don't pursue it. Once she married him she gained life support if worse comes to worse financially. This includes school and health. See Filipina Pea video with lawyer on this issue. If he stayed together after only a year he got played. She might care for him but the marriage was not based on love. She stayed long enough to lockin the retirement plan. Get prenuptial and add clause that if youre paying bills for family you get a permissiveblien on any property so you can force a sale later of you get fleeced for taking care of all family including brothers grandkids mother father sisters etc. Its a crazy law but it keeps the gvt from having to support these poor families and abandoned children and women, which is actually more common than ones that stay together. If you meet a filipina and she has a chlid where the father is paying adequate support, if at all, you found a unicorn.
Having entered into matrimony with a Filipina, whom I encountered while pursuing our graduate studies in North America, I have come to understand that a successful marriage necessitates reciprocity from both partners. When one individual assumes the majority of the responsibilities or consistently prevails in decision-making, it may result in conflicts, much like automobiles that collide when they are only permitted to operate in a singular direction.

Regarding Social Security @10:00, you technically qualify for it once you have 40 working quarters in the US. That is just 10 years… it doesn’t have to be continuous either - it can be 10 years out of your whole working life. However, your benefit amount is based on your best 30 years worth of work history. If any of those years are Zeros, they average in as ‘zero’.
Videos like this make me question women in the Philippines. Same outcome different scenery. More and more the answer for men is to stay single. Its sad
I would say don’t pat yourself on the back for getting divorced in the Philippines. Anyone who goes to a country that divorce is illegal and provides a loophole is furthering western feminism ideology. That’s a huge “L” in life.

To me a marriage that barely lasts one year was destined to fail in the beginning. Chemistry, love, passion and trust is the glue and reason that brings you together and holds you together. It's possible that each of them had a different reason for getting married and now for one of them that reason is no longer necessary.

Depending on the US State you are from:
You have to be a resident for a certain amount of time, before the County or state accepts your petition for divorce.

It's all "grist" for the content mill, sadly. :(

If you meet a filipina and she has a chlid where the father is paying adequate support, if at all, you found a unicorn.
not 100% true... your comment is more of a hate than real facts... little knowledge is dangerous..
That's true in all cultures.
