It was disbanded before even seeing combat in New Orleans or if not then, certainly after the city fell. Even these men were distinct though because they considered themselves superior to the full blacks and partook in slavery themselves. Beyond that my only knowledge of black men fighting for the CSA was the occasional camp slave picking up a weapon and firing on the Union because he did actually support the South or whatever other reason but even those aren't proven to have happened. Sounds like propaganda bullshit to me unless you can source it
