    I really like your style for the most part, Cody; it's really helpful having this live training and these tips to help so many of us. Thank you so much! Honesty, genuine care and integrity is what is important at the end of the day and into eternity. I want to finish my career and life one day knowing I honestly and genuinely loved everyone I came across in life (like the good Samaritan caring for the hurting person he came across). As a person who is just getting started, my hesitation with following and learning from you so far is the deception; among other tactics I've seen thus far; you definitely have incredible skills, but it's a little bit deceptive when you tell people you are only "going to drop something off for a few minutes real quick", or that "it's not my intention to change what you already have", but you know that is not the case nor your actual motives. It might be time to recalibrate the old moral compass. 😉

      "Blessed are the meek, for the will inherit the earth" Matthew 5:5
      Meekness is great power to be used rightly. It is not to be used to oppress or overpower, but like Jesus himself, to be used for the benefit and the good of others.
      Sometimes you have to get people out of their own way (putting off and not wanting to think about death and how important life insurance is going to be on the worst day of the people they love) in order for the benefit and good of others.

    This is a great video. Once the appointment is set you have told them you are dropping of information. When you make contact ‘dropping it off’ what happens then? Can you talk through that experience?

    • @CodyAskins
      @CodyAskins  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      99.9% of the time the prospects forget you're dropping anything off. The point is to get into their home to make the sale, but if have to drop something off you could have some information printed off, a business card/magnet, or something else. But really your goal should be to get into the home.

    What is the benefit to asking the lead to grab a pen and paper and write the appointment down as opposed to immediately sending them a text with the information formatted so they can put it into their phone's calendar app?

    • @CodyAskins
      @CodyAskins  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can definitely do both or see what the prospect is more comfortable with. In my experience, it seemed like people from this generation still typically liked writing stuff down, and it really solidified it in their minds by getting a pen and paper and physically writing it down. Both could definitely work though.

    Im a new agent and I’m wondering, when you keep telling someone it’s not your job to set them up or switch them just to give them information. Wouldn’t that negatively impact the way your appointment goes and the chances of a sale?

    • @radioguy801
      @radioguy801 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're giving them information about who you are, how you're the licensed professional, what you can do for them and the multiple carriers you work with. In turn, you gather information on them and see what they qualify for. Then, it's up to the carrier to complete the sale 😎

      Prospecting will be the biggest hurdle. So, focus on developing a lead flow. Start by writing down your rolling 100 (I'll post a link to a video about it) and come up with another way you can get yourself in front of people. Whether it be purchasing leads or cold calling. Then, once you have the budget, invest in some marketing - like a website focused on lead gen. Here's the rolling 100 video: th-cam.com/video/HpspXpFOwx4/w-d-xo.html
