    You can also place the ball joint in the freezer before installing, that will help the ball joint shrink a little before install

    After using an impact driver to remove the phillips head screws from the rotors of my son's Civic, we donated them to the trash can.

    You did all the operations by the book and I like it, one question please for a detail I have a doubt, is it a good idea to lubricate the ball joint before slide it into the knuckle? I know that will help to slide easier but also would that be a concern and be prone to escape from the knuckle after installing especially for those ball joints that come without a snap ring? Thank you

      Once the boot splits you might as well replace LBJ as it got contaminated by outside dirt and moisture.

  • @anthonymerc220

    Can you do one for the bushings on lower control arm for that Acura tl? It would be nice to see how you change those out with hand tools.

    • @alexandercahoulan6583
      @alexandercahoulan6583 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Its more logical to just buy the whole assembly instead of replacing the compliance bushings. I bought two new LCA's from Rock Auto. I think it was 75$ each. Eric the Car guy has a video on changing out compliance bushings on this car. Its a bitch even with all the professional tools he has. After finishing the job he even said, "its not worth the hassle. Just buy the LCA assembly."

    • @alexandercahoulan6583
      @alexandercahoulan6583 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The job of replacing the LCA's is tough enough. lol I bought Beck Arnley ones on Rock Auto. They work great. High quality. Could be OEM. Beck Arnley I mean. The bushing closest to the front of the car was horribly ripped. Im assuming you have same issue. Hope i assisted you in some way. I just had to say something cause Ive been down that rabbit hole. lol

    Such a bad design to have a ball joint installed on the knuckle. It would be much easier to install if it is on the control arm.

    Looks so damn easy. I wonder if it is my tool kit. I aligned it evenly and hand tighten. Then tighten with ratched and breaker bar fairly far in. Still evently align. Slowly go in with the impact and it becomes uneven.
