5:45 Dragon's Lair ! Spent so much in the early eighties on that game when visiting Devon (I'm in the UK) Only ever finished it when I got it for the Ps3. Great video Drew !
Those wall mounted cabinets are so clever. You get the full standing cabinet experience without all the wasted wood and other components which make it that tall and increase the cost for no reason. I know most people want cabinets in their house so it looks like it did in the arcade (and it's more of a decoration than something you play) but this is a really great compromise.
Super exited for the pollymega and it seems as thought they are actually getting permission from publishers and companies to eventually offer a digital download store so it seems to be like a true new console and its awsome that you can download your games by putting the disc in even multidisc games I hope it does whell!
Only thing im waiting for is that Admiral 64 controller . You can back up your N64 saves to it and no longer have to worry when the battery dries up in the memory pak 👌
I used to get the Nintendo Power Magazine. I had every issue for the first 2-3 years. I found them a few years ago all packed away. I thought to myself, I bet those are worth something nowadays so I'll hang on to them. A few months later, my brother let his kids go through all my old stuff and take whatever they wanted. My NES, SNES, and N64 accessories were picked apart. They threw stuff everywhere. They ripped cords from controllers. They smashed up the old game boxes. They also ransacked my 40-50 year old baseball card collection. Needless to say, I'm not very happy about it.
I love that retro stuff you showed here! Definitely the most interesting E3 content so far! The _NES Switch_ looks cool but I'm not much into that system, the wireless N64 controllers and the upscaling adapter almost makes me wanna say these could make the N64 fun to play again (controller sticks and analog output, you know). The wireless Dreamcast controller definitely is on my radar for quite a while now, I hope these get released at some point.
Wow super great recap. really enjoy your format, quick and efficient. liked seeing the Retrobit and Hyperkin stuff. Oh man Nintendo Power holds a massive place in my heart. I was 12 years old when it debuted in Canada (Mega Man 2 issue) and collected quite a few of them since then. cheers dude, looking forward to more.
The Polymega looks really neat. Wish it had N64 support. I also love how it has CD support, finally! Something we’ve been asking for for years. It’s also really nice that you can copy your games to the system albeit cartridge or disc. I want to do that, copy the games to the console and play the discs/cartridges on the original consoles. I want to point out because no one has ever said this but wear-and-tear can be reversed/fixed (more likely to happen with the cartridge based media than the discs, you can clean those with isopropyl alcohol, maybe the slot as well, I’m sure you can repair that. For discs which I hear don’t deteriorate after use, just the lasers but those last pretty long if you’re careful with it but some tend to stop working and can be fixed when they stop working, god it annoys me when people don’t mention that lasers can be fixed), just wanted to get that off my chest. But for the record, that thing looks amazing! It looks like we’re finally getting an N64 clone! I also find it nice that there’s an M Classic, but I don’t want the smoothing/slick effect. Can I just have it sharp because I prefer sharp imagery over smooth? Also, wow! You went to a Japanese (one that sells games from Japan, not made in that country which has Japan-only games?! That’s fuckin’ awesome!) game store?! (Not one in Japan, but in the United States! I wish Canada had one) That’s freakin’ sweet! I have a HUGE desire to visit a Japanese game store, even if it’s just an imitation that’s not in Japan! Still wanna go to Akihabara though and no one’s gonna stop me. Nice stuff!
Great video man .. love your coverage of these events and the way you take he time to properly film/edit your videos that is very comprehensive and intriguing to watch. Keep it up mate.
Holly molly, that black shark controller looks awesome, for those who doesn't know, black shark is a Xiaomi brand for gamming devices for mobile AAAND a gamming phone rly cool
If you want to know a few more retro game stores, then here are two more that I HIGHLY recommend: 1-Game Swap This place is a game store that has all types of games for all different consoles while having a bunch of other stuff. I also think it's a nation wide store. 2-Game Cycle This place is like Game Swap, but it's smaller, has better prices, and commonly sells rare games. I managed to find games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Legend of Zelda: Collectors Edition for the GameCube, and Worms for the N64. The only real disadvantage that I can think of is I think it's only in Ohio.
These retro people seem to only focus on making new N64 and NES stuff. As a huge fan of the Super NES, I gotta say: Where's my fancy new Super NES controllers and other accessories? Be honest. Is it because the Super NES is already perfect? Anyway, on another note, that lounge area for TH-cam content creators was super cool! It's really nice to see our favorite TH-camrs, who work so hard to bring us great content, getting honored by the big boys at E3! No matter how late their videos may be. :P Keep up the great work Nintendrew! Looking forward to more!
A lightgun that works on modern TV's. Finally.. fucking finally. I do hope they make more with this tech. Specifically the 32bit gen and the one after, Dreamcast and PS2 have some great lightgun games. Would love to play them on a modern big screen TV.
If you ever come to utah, I suggest going to greywhale. Basic used gaming mom and pop place. I got my switch powera wired controller for 15 bucks there. I personally go to a location in sandy.
hyperkin - huh I never knew what that orange adapter was for that's neat! so kinda compensating for HDTV delay I'm guessing?? Arcade 1up - I know some people aren't feeling it, but for those like me that aren't savvy on repairing stuff I think it's a cool option and their newly revealed models looked pretty sweet! (sign me up for the Star Wars one!) Retro Champ - never heard of this but might be one to look out for! I have almost five dozen NES games and a handful of Famicom carts so I'd definitely get some use out of that! (maybe if I'm ever down in LA I'll hit up one of those shops pick me up some imports, hehe)
Black Shark is the gaming phone branch of Xiaomi. The one in the one in the video is the Black Shark 2 (Pro?) There are 4 in the series and they all run Android. Xiaomi is one of the biggest smartphone companies outside of the US.
yo, you gonna ignore that other SNES style game pad behind the SNES/N64 hybrid at 10:00? that shit had 2 analog sticks, but the action buttons had the gamecube layout. that's frikken sick!
you're such an underrated creator! i really enjoy your content, it's nice stuff to watch when you have time to kill and is also really nice background noise for me. keep it up!
That dual analog PolyMega controller looks almost exactly like a bluetooth/USB controller I have, the GameSir G3S, only with different branding and face button designs. But everything else looks practically 1:1, which has me raising an eyebrow quite a bit.
If you ever come to LA again visit Game Dude - Located in the San Fernando Valley (North Hollywood) Found that gem when I moved in the area like 3 years ago. Back where I grew in the South Bay area there's another location as well It's good to go if you like imported games cause they usually have tons of them as well. Cali Games - Located in my hometown of Lawndale LA County is pretty big and the space between these two locations is about 18-20 miles but definitely worth a quick look. It's usually not as packed like those other locations you went to and they could really use new customers even more so Cali Games. The people there are awesome so anyone on here living in LA give them a visit :D
The handheld SNES is pretty cool. Wish it looked a little better but definitely a cool idea. I have my home-built portables but they are kind of Frankensteins, would be nice if somebody put out a legit version
RETRO CHAMP! I’m extremely interested in the hand held solution for playing original cartridges in mobile form as seen with the Retro Champ. I can see a lot of potential with that. I wouldn’t think it would be overly difficult at that point to make some sort of adapter system to play any style cartridge game. Granted, I’m not sure how that would work from a software perspective though.
I want to start collecting more retro consoles and accessories. I want to finish my SEGA stuff first before moving onto Nintendo and stuff. All I need is a 32x and a SEGA CD!!
When i realized how long ago E3 was, im convinced Nintendrew time traveled
