I have watched your channel for YEARS and continue to admire how impressive and refreshing your enthusiasm and energy is about retro games. Just consistently fun and entertaining. Cheers!
Seriously love how much MJR cares for gaming. How he doesn't neglect any type of games and continually plays new while appreciating and playing the old.
Some advise... make sure you run the water in the basement shower every month or so (a few seconds will do). It will help keep the P-Trap filled with water, which will stop sewer gases from entering your home. You should also do this for any sink you don't use very often.
I'm quite a minimalist when it comes to gaming - I usually only keep one or two consoles at a time and typically sell my physical games when I finish. Nice to be able to see someone enjoying the polar opposite approach :)
I used to buy physical games and sell them after being done. I went full digital with PS4, but then, I came across game preservation arguments and Sony started working on closing PSP, PS Vita and PS3 PSN stores. I reached the conclusion that the industry doesn't care and are in fact actively destroying any chance of game preservation. The gamers have to be the ones to maintain that history. I also had the urge to go back to some older games and the idea of playing them at a moment's notice was appealing. I started a small collection dedicate to Sony consoles and a handful of games that I either played or wish to play. Even if you don't collect, I advise to at least maintain the physical game and/or console in top conditions and sell it when done with it.
Man, I would love to just spend some time soaking up all the games. Even if it just meant a whole day looking at the boxes and not necessarily playing them. I'd love to play and experience them, don't get me wrong, but it feels inspiring being able to look at the covers and game backs. Good job Metal Jesus.
Looks like a museum more than a game room! extremely impressed im a collector myself and hope to have a space like that in the future. Love your content
Started getting stands from Rose Colored Gaming when I saw your last video. Once I get my handheld collection taken care of, I'll be moving on to the Mini Boxes for my loose Game Boy games 😁
Not even halfway through the video, but i had to pause to comment my absolute gratitude that awesome people like you exist! You are keeping gaming alive and all your close friends and family are so lucky to have you in their lives. Beautiful room my dude.
Absolutely stunning. I only have the space for a corner of my bedroom currently for a game setup with a CRT and a 50' 4K and about 10 consoles. However obviously my wife doesn't want to sleep in a game room but I plan on building an insulated out building to have a proper setup and bring lots of my collection out of storage. You definitely serve as my inspiration to keep believing that one day I'll have my own dedicated space. Keep up the great work on your channel. Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
I really like the fact that you actually actively use most of your collection and that it doesn't just sit there gathering dust. Awesome room, I'd rarely want to leave it!
I remember the first metal Jesus video I ever watched it was an I hate you episode and all these years later Jason still rocking it man. I’m so happy for you. You deserve everything.
Dude, I've been watching your game rooms evolve for such a long time now, and it brings me a lot of joy to know that you're doing what you love in a sanctuary that you've made for yourself. Much love, brother
Love to see what you've done with the new gaming room. Everything looks great spread out and organized as opposed to how crammed it looked in your old house. I think if you framed your posters as opposed to tacking them to the wall could really make the walls pop more.
Jason, dude, this is so killer. These game room tours are the primary reason I subscribed to you, and they've been awesome. Rock on, and may the force be with you.
I really love your little game room. I’m a really small collector, doing the best I can to have videogame consoles from every generation. I was hopimg you to help me realize this dream
It was awesome to be able to box your cartridge collection and see all the variety in games you have. Your game room looks amazing and we are proud to be a part of it. Thanks so much for your support!
so I’m on your website and is there an easier way to select the games instead of adding to cart for each game? Would love to just have one bulk where I select the games and then at the end add to cart.
Just ordered 80+boxes because of this video! I was going to go the big plastic case route but I love the size of the mini cases and how the art is true to the original box! Plus it is way cheaper when you order in bulk! Can't wait to get them, and will definitely be getting more as my collection grows!
7:56 if you didn't say anything, I would have just assumed they were in their original box, especially without any sense of scaling. THOUGH those boxes were terrible. I liked the clamshell Sega box then Sonic 3 came out in that terrible paper box. Then we got an N64 and all of those boxes IMMEDIATELY got destroyed. Not those plastic clamshells. Still think at my mother's house I still have a few of them. I think my brother took Quackshot and Sonic 1 and 2 with him when he moved out. I was onto more questionable ways to play those games on my PSP at the time.
just the clean aesthetic and the sheer volume of mint gems makes this one of the coolest things ive ever seen - cheers to what i would call " The Rick Rubin of the Videogame World." And yes, that, from a historian in my own right, is a compliment. Childhood preservation. Cheers.
YES! lets gooo! Been waiting on this one. Loving this place. The lighting I feel is such a game changer. Really makes this place pop! These kinds of tours really show even more than what is talked about. Lots of little display ideas tucked away in here. Love it
I like having all my games in my steam library and having that comfort that i just have to click on the game to start it and that it doesnt take any space in my room away, but everytime I watch one of your videos I ask my self how cool it would have been if i bought all my PC games in box. Once again a really entertaining video you have made there, keep it up MJR!

This was a fantastic tour, love seeing the update and how you chose to lay it all out. Well done, MJR! And very cool to see the MiniBoxes, that's such a great idea 👍
This is cool! As an property insurance adjuster, make sure you have absolutely full coverage on any water getting into your basement. It doesn’t take much to ruin all of that! From sewage backup, to sump pump failure, to flood insurance--even if you’re not in a flood plain--get it. And, itemize you’re entire basement with a photograph of each item, at least the expensive stuff. Back up and store somewhere safe, even possibly giving to your agent. I know how these insurance companies work. They may be a good neighbor today, but turn around and screw you when you need help.
Last year I finally finished my basement and made it my gaming area. Converted one room to a retro room and the main living area for modern. It's a nice way for me to relax at the end of the day once the kids go to sleep.
It's like you live in a museum, I love it how you have your figure's playing games so they're not left out. You obviously spend a lot of time in your home. When are you going on your next gaming trip?
This was cool. It brought back some gaming memories for me, seeing consoles or games I once owned. The stuff I haven’t seen before was also delightful. Always a pleasure watching your videos.
I've been looking forward to a new tour for a while and it totally didn't disappoint! Awesome collection and space. I have a bookshelf full of games and I have quite the backlog and I can't imagine what I'd do if I had your level of collection! There's not enough time in my life to play all of that! Most impressive!
Dude! That's amazing but at the same time so overwhelming to have all that stuff. There's no way collectors actually play a lot of video games they own there's just not enough time with the rate of new stuff coming out also! But wow its crazy how much you have
Finally got around to watching this, place looks great! You’re one of the first few channels I subscribed to many moons ago, I remember when the entire basement saga happened at the old place, this is such a great next level upgrade!

My only improvements would be to hang your flat screen against the brick wall and to get better fitting shelves for your games. The depth of the bookcase style ones you have are wasted space.
