When I was a kid my grandpa bought me one of these for Christmas (Circa 2009) from a grocery store. This little bootleg console was one of the first ways that I had experienced a lot of retro NES games. A friend and I even managed to beat Contra with these terrible controllers. I sadly have genuine nostalgia for this exact unit 😂

Let me just say this.... If I saw this "all in one" system with two controllers, one of which looks like an N64 controller, one Genesis controller AND it also comes with a gun.... when I was a kid in the late 90s... it literally wouldn't even matter what games that it had. This would be the greatest thing I'd ever seen.

I bought one for my kids as a travel system. We already had a couple PlayStations and a Game Cube. Not wanting to damage those, we bought this to use in hotel rooms. It was a serviceable alternative to the pay per hours games offered at hotels at the time.

And there were more models to this Shockingly. You had this version (made in 2001)
The original one (which said 76 in 1. And had music in the background)
You had the final one which was slightly improved with the cartridge and had no letters next to the title.
And some came with PAC-MAN and some came with mappy with a Nuts sprite (from nuts and milk) in the place. So me living in NYC this was everywhere and only $20 on 14th Street. And it was like hoping for PAC man or not. I owe it to this console it helped get me through my parents divorcing as a child. Great video btw

"Lode Runner 2" is just Championship Lode Runner for Famicom.

i recall one of these i had contained a DB game. I believe it was a Famicom version which would of likely been non translated. As much people hate famiclones I find them rather cool. If they were more truthful about numbers rather than suckering people in they would be alright.

When I was about six my family bought a similar bootleg at a mall. It had "60,000 in 1" when it obviously didn't. Even if it was trash, we loved it. That's how little we got involved with electronics at the time. I remember the first one being The Flintstones, 80 was Popeye I believe and the 60,000th was some kind of long jump game. Ours wasn't as fortunate as Drew's though, as you had to plug in a chip to the Famicom port (We had no idea it had other use than that) and you had to cover it up with the casing that it came with or it would freeze if you even touched the chip.
It was really bad but considering my dad told me the GameCube was around $300 at the time, we were happy with this.

I used to love this thing when I was younger, this thing and a SEGA Genesis is what got me into retro gaming. The one I had was a 16,000-in-1 with different games, however. Unfortunately my old Super Joy died and started putting out smoke because it was made so cheaply.
EDIT: Funny you mention Warpman being similar to Bomberman too, since on the 16,000-in-1 Super Joy model lists Warpman as Bomberman!

I haven’t finished the video yet but I had to pause at 6:23 because that is quite possibly the most insane place to put a cartridge I have ever seen on anything. I was reeling from laughter upon sight.

I remember these being offered in a mall in 2004 / 2005, for $40. That was before the Wii Virtual Console was available, & Steam hadn't really shot up in popularity yet, so NES and SNES games were pretty easy to get at times. Retro gaming was a niche thing, and I often got retro games for dirt cheap, because I was looking. Even EBGames / Gamestop had just stopped selling NES, SNES, and Genesis games in 2004, I think.

I had this growing up, but weirdly enough, my version only had 76 games, not 76000
After watching your video, it looks like it was just like your version, but without the duplicates.
    Loved the darned thing.

These are available in red; I have one in that colour. This model was sold at retail here in Canada -- I can remember seeing the kiosks at various malls -- and so they appear with some frequency at thrift shops. Sadly, mine will not play the only Famicom cartridge that I own; I just get a garbled title screen.

I had one of these and if you scroll far enough you get some crazy romhacks.
I played some version of super Mario Bros where Bowser was flying through the screen and you were swimming but you were on land, it was super crazy.

Had this exact bootleg N64 Famiclone 20+ years ago. Shopping mall stores definitely did carry these to trick young kids into thinking they got something good.
I didn’t know the MemoryCard/battery thing was removable. Never messed with that back then.

I remember seeing this Power Player set at the local swapmeet and mall, and at some rinkydink discount store in the hood. Same exact bootleg set, too (with Contra and everything). There was another controller set just like this sold at said swapmeet, mall, and discount store...except it didn't have these "76000 games in 1". And Contra was swapped out for Gradius (woo hoo 😊)

I spent many a 2-hour car ride as a kid playing one of these on the way to/from visitation with my bio-father, so seeing this is like a wave of nostalgia! Side note, I've always wondered how well an FDS would work on one of these, plugged in via a slot extender or something.

(16:46) Those game ideas made me laugh in my mind!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
(17:04) I was picturing a mix of 'Tetris' and 'World of Goo'.
Thanks for making this video! As a teen, there was a "3Stars" shop at an outdoor shopping mall in the neighbourhood I lived in at the time, that sold cheap and off-brand household products, and right at the (wide) entrance, on the opposite end to the cashier counter, there sat a few Power Player boxes, and one set up and connected to a small 14" CRT TV. At the time, I didn't realise it was a knockoff of the Nintendo 64 and Mega Drive controllers, as I hadn't yet seen photos of what an actual N64 looked like. I also didn't realise that the weird slot was a Famicom game cartridge slot, likely only designed with bootleg cartridges in mind, and I was a very different person back then, to the point where NES game graphics in some games used to creep me out.

I owned the Power Player Super Joystick & Power Gun/Super Joystick TV Game/Super Joy III when I was a kid. I had the blue one with the gray and brown light gun, as showcased in this video. I also had a version that came with a green and brown light gun instead of gray.
Like most people here in the United States, I got mine at a mall kiosk, sometime in the early 2000s. Seeing all these NES games being included on one device that I could just plug in and play without having to swap cartridges was very appealing to me at the time (this was before I knew about emulators and flash cartridges.) My mom paid $40 for it if I recall correctly, which looking back at it now, was a rip-off because these were being purchased at wholesale for around $6 - $7, but hey, I understand they had to make a profit.
Anyway, the blue one I had fried on me. I plugged it in, heard a loud pop and it wouldn't work after that. I was pretty sure I was using the correct adapter that came with it, so maybe the device itself was just a piece of crap. Once I figured out NES emulation, I eventually thew away all my Power Player crap. What a colossal waste of money.

I'll never forget my aunt who took a literal bus trip to drop off this game set and I was sike as hell.
So many NES games and discovering the rest of the gsmes were re-hashed, BUT, the rehashed games had alittle cheats or changes.
I remember a 1000 - in 1 allowed you to play the minus worlds and even other levels in different themes. Castle 4-4 underwater, I'll never forget that.
The original we had burned up and stopped working. But I found a used one in a garage sale.
I might buy a new set on Ebay. Assuming this video or a sudden boom of bootlegs demand the price higher.
I remember a booth selling these packages and got arrested in front of me while I played the gamepad laid out for bystanders to try. Shit was wild, Nintendo actually contacted the police for their arrest.

This is the first game console that my parents bought me and this is where I got my first taste of 8 bit games I still remember how the controller felt when I was 3 or 4 and looking at where the power switch I remember resting my finger on wanting to flip but I couldn’t because it powers the game off and I remember playing the nes games in a emulator like I was relieving my childhood when I was 9

It's so cool to see you review this! I bought the same exact Power Player at a Goodwill a few years back (except mine has black controllers) and I have another Power Player whose main controllers were a ripoff of the Sega Dreamcast and a sort of Super Nintendo-esque controller with standard controller grips. The Dreamcast one seems to be an older model judging by the box design and the fact it advertises 128-in-1 games rather than 76,000 (even though I'm pretty sure it most likely contains the same games. I never tested out the Dreamcast model due to the power supply box being partially cracked open and I don't wanna take any chances. This N64 Power Player though, I've just been lazy to test out, but after watching the video, I feel a bit inspired to take some time and plug everything in and check the console out for myself.

My favorite bootleg systems are the Feihao 4.3" HDMI Famicom handheld from Ali-Express with the KryzsioCart Flashcart from Ebay and the Retroad 5 Plus with the GB/GBC Extension Converter from Ali-Express and the Everdrive GB X7. I use a 8bitdo SNES or NES dongle and my NES/SNES Online controllers. I did need a 9 pin to NES adapter I got from Mayflash for my NES Classic Mini controller adapter to make the Feihao Famicom work.

My nephew got one of these, and I think he was smart enough to know it wasn't an actual N64. It had some interesting ROM hacks that I'm not sure if you found on yours. There were supposedly two Ninja Turtles games, but one was just a hack of NES Lode Runner and the other was Donkey Kong Jr (although Junior did look surprisingly good as a ninja turtle!) It also had one of Mario Bros. with the main characters turned into Teletubbies and Nuts & Milk with Pikachu. This thing is definitely interesting if nothing else!
