Hello my dear Dez. Always up for a good eyeshadow video. Like you, I prefer a one and done look, on most days. Very pretty colors. I love the shade Irene. Right up my alley. Beautiful look, Dez. The colors look fabulous on you. Have a wonderful day❣️💝💝
Thank you for demonstrating the LE eyeshadows. The video is really helpful as my eyelids are older than yours and no matter what I do eyeshadow looks horrible after a couple of hours with little cracks and gathers in the wrinkles 🙈 so I’ll try these out and hope for success 🤞
You always crack me up Dez!! "Nobody puts Gaia in the corner!" LOL!! I was so excited to see your thumbnail because I am also really into the "one and done" eyeshadow looks and really like the idea of a liquid eyeshadow, but I haven't had much luck with them. Now I think I know why!!! I just plopped it on my eyelids using the doe foot and then blended and probably got way too much doing it that way!! Why I never thought of dabbing a bit on the brush like you did, I don't know??? But I just love the finished look. You are gorgeous!! Thank you so much for this video!!
Aww thanks my darling Tina! Yes I think a brush is the way to go - can't take any credit as that's Lisa's suggestion - but it does work and doesn't take too much longer. I absolutely love these shadows!
I like lighter tones for day so tried Irene with some lighter tan or vanilla on the inner upper lid so I can see my lid. I think with this, my lid and hooded eye lid are smoother, using the Irene really as a primer and crease color. I wish Lisa would make a matte or satin vanilla color.
Merit cream eyeshadows are only matte. I’ve just ordered one. I’m so glad to have your tips with the size of the brush for application and how to hold it. Also, I have some Trinny London that may be matte. And MAC. Love your videos. I’m going chronologically backwards to see the ones I’ve missed.
I’m definitely into a one & done. Haven’t tried LE yet. I’m just dipping into the Merit solos and purchased liquid lid from Armani. Now must try these too 😊
They are quite similar to the Armani's actually. I loved them but mine are rather old now. I never got on with the Merits, they didn't last and I found the application tricky - I know I'm unusual in that.
@@beautybydez for the Merritt I found that just tapping in a little little bit over the lid seems to work best, but I’m not sure they are very long lasting unless you really set them in and I haven’t quite figured that bit out yet.
Your skin looks incredible in this video Dez. Have you changed or added anything to your routine? I’ve been tempted by these LE shadows but don’t want to buy them all - which one would you choose if you had to?
Ooh thanks Fi! My skin had been behaving really badly, so I've just last week been giving it some TLC with a serum by the Ordinary and a Purito Recovery Cream. I'll do a little community post with links so you can check them out. Re the shadows - I think Ione and Thalia are my faves - they are cool but not too cool. The one I didn't get, Phoebe, looks a nice warm shade but too warm for me, I think.
Sorry to be pedantic Dez but Thalia is pronounced as we would say TH as in thanks and it’s a short vowel - there are no long vowels in Greek. I have a work colleague here in Greece who calls me Thalia ( no idea why 🤷🏻♀️) instead of Sally. The shadows are really nice and I agree with you, I much prefer matte shadows for day. I think much more flattering.
No apology necessary, Sally and thank you! I ought to know that given where I live in London - we have at least two Greek restaurants in my high street! BTW how do the Greeks pronounce pitta (bread)? I pronounce it peeta but a friend said it was pit-ah 😉
I just submitted an order at Lisa Eldridge for lipsticks. This s the first review for the liquid eyeshadows, so I didn’t order any. Oh well - next order!
Maybe it's because you are paler skinned - red lippy looks fabulous on you but on me I have to be careful what shade - I do think skin colour has a lot to do with it!
Hi Dez: Last video, that Ione shade, the mauve grey, was EVERYTHING! Just loved it. I've been looking for a shade like that. The closest I've come is a shade by Physicians' Formula in a pallette; I don't know the name of it. Watching rest of the video now. Rosemarie 🩷

They really look good on you Dez, as soon as I saw the colours, I knew you would like them, so am delighted they worked well for you. 😊
You were my prompt, Marjorie ❤❤❤

Thanks dearest Rene! They are very beautiful shadows, to be sure. Have a great day yourself - sun is out in London town today 😊❤❤❤
@@beautybydezthank you. The sun is out here as well. Enjoy your evening!! ❤❤

I have Ione and love it and it works so well on mature eyelids so though I think some of her make up is expensive this is a win for me.
Absolutely agree!
Those are beautiful. I think I would need the cooler shades. Your eyes really pop in all the shades 😊❤
Aren't they fab- Lisa rarely gets it wrong!

I liked the wqrmer side better - more subtle.

I just can't wear darkish colors on my lids. I guess my eyes are deep set or something. They work on you but me????
