This is helpful Dez. I haven't heard of purito before so going to investigate. I'm allergic to fragrance too. My current regime at 68 is using olive oil to cleanse with microfiber hot cloth. Double cleanse with warm water then splash with cold to close the pores. I then apply Face Theory unscented hydraserene night cream followed by my own face oil which I make myself. In a 20ml dropper bottle 3/4 fill with organic jojoba oil, top up with organic rosehip seed oil. Add 2 drops each of organic essential oils frankincense, lavender and rose geranium. I love this oil. Warm 2 drops between palms before smoothing over face and neck. It's also great for dry skin on hands and feet. By the way I recently started massaging sweet almond oil (just a drop) into my nails and cuticles. It's got rid of dry skin and those pesky skin snags. X
Ooh Lesley, your combinations sound great - love the sound of the organic essential oils. I do need to do something about my nails - when I remember I use castor oil but usually I forget! ❤️
Hi Dez! Thank you so much for shout out! You are so sweet! And I’m so glad you’re liking the barrier serum. It really is a good one. This was such a helpful video! You have such beautiful skin, so it’s great to get a look “behind the curtain”! I did want to let you know that I clicked on the US link for the Centella cream and it’s coming up as a UK website(the price was in pounds). Thanks again for being a wonderful friend and we are going to meet in real life someday!❤️
Ah thanks Tina, re link, will sort that out- those pesky links are so fiddly! I really do love the serum, it's been a saviour, and you got me into the benefits of centella asiatica as an ingredient - I've referenced your video below in a comment as I forgot to talk about it in mine. And we so are going to meet - we'll make it happen ❤️❤️❤️
Your skin is beautiful, the products you use, certainly agree with it. I have sensitive skin so I’m quite keen to try the Purito moisturiser. Thanks for a great video ❤
Jolene cream bleach. I never used it but I remember seeing it on the shelves in Boots. I prefer to wax and tweeze the hair on my chin and top lip. Works for me.
Hi Dez! I found you via Tina. So fun to see you mention her here!! I have also thought eye cream should also work as neck cream. Good to see someone put it into practice!
Thanks so much Nancy! Tina is a such a mate, she's been a huge support to me. I have neglected my neck until recently so thought I should start looking after it 😉
I use the red light therapy. This is my second one. I'd like the zip halo but have the red light brightens my skin and that's what I want. You are right though your skin looks good. It's supposed to encourage collagen. My skin is thin. You can buy little bottles of oil for the skin around your nails and it really works rub it in each night. Is say it smells like almond oil at times😂. I had your issue and a nail tech told me to get it. It's cheap😊
Thanks Margaret! Yes I need remind myself to use oil - I actually have a bottle of castor oil next to my sink but always forget to use it. I am going to try red light therapy soon ❤️
Hi Dez love your channel im going to try the razor have been useing a electric lady razor but very uncomfortable so ill give it a go glad you like the Kbeauty ranges . I have tried the snail musin too !!!
Three nights a week I have a lazy girl night and use only Alpha H Liquid Gold which is an acid but pretty gentle for me anyway. My morning face is smooth and hydrated. The other night it’s a serum followed by retinal and then the night cream. I have several night creams on the go so it just depends what I want.I really do like Elemis Overnight Recovery but it’s eye watering lay expensive so I only buy it when it’s on offer.
I also enjoyed your video. I have never used an oil cleanser and am thinking about trying one. Someone mentioned estrogen cream. I wonder about that too - but is it safe? The age old question …
Your pajamas are adorable! Purito and Beauty of Joseon have such nice products. Don't forget your hands with the Tretinoin, and follow up with a hand cream. I take the Tretinoin under my eyes and by my crows feet, but not on top of the lid. I also wear a moisturizer over it. My skin is very much used to I've been using it since my 20s. I did use the Jolene bleach. Mixing the powder with the cream! I love the Ordinary. I use their Squalene serum and their Squalene cream cleanser. Your neck is incredibly smooth. I actually got a milia out from my chin. It kept coming back, but this time I used a comodone extractor and a sterile pin, and I got it. A small little pearl. Hopefully, it won't come back. I'm with you on the RevitaLash serum. It's fabulous. Your skin is gorgeous. I go through similar steps as you. Thank you for sharing your nightly routine. Lots of love, my sweet friend!🩷😘🫶
They are cute, aren't they - so cute I've just ordered another pair! Yes, good reminder re hands, I'll do that. Oh gosh yes forgot how fiddly the Jolen was with the mixing on the little paddle. It did work though! You did so well to remove your milia! Have a wonderful week dearest Rene ❤️❤️❤️
Oh gosh. The smell of the Jolene bleach. It would burn as well. Shaving is so much easier. I did waxing for many years, but I'm no longer hairy on my face, with the exception of a rogue chin hair! Yes, fabulous pajamas!! ❤❤@@beautybydez
Great video as always Dez, I have a similar routine using tretinoin every 2nd or 3rd night and centella products. I'm really interested in the cleansing oil and The Ordinary serum so I will definitely check those out. I started using a light therapy mask a couple of months ago and I love it. It's a fairly inexpensive one, Silk'n' is the brand, I got it from Boots. I find it really relaxing and easy to use. I definitely think it makes a difference somehow, not miraculous but just softer and fresher skin. Tret makes my skin quite dry and the mask seems to help a lot. I do love your channel, thoroughly enjoy all your content ❤
Thanks so so much ❤️ When I get back from France, I'll consider the mask - I am trying to take more time over my skin and create a ritual that I actually want to do, rather than feel I have to!
Really helpful in every sense, thank you. I started using Retinoids early last year so on the strongest % you can buy otc now. But have sensitive skin and still cannot use every night so was unsure what routine to use the nights I didn’t use it to give my skin a break. I use a variety of cleansers and at the moment my favourite are The Ordinary Squalane cleanser and Byoma which was a recommendation from you. I do use a Vit C daily in the mornings and currently using a Green People one which is quite gentle. I am using either a 100% Squalane oil at night or a Natural Moisturising Factor + Phytoceramides from The Ordinary.
Oh that's such a coincidence, Charlotte re the squalane - my daughter gave me a bottle which I tried last night - it felt nice on my skin although I had to blot it a bit as I didn't want it all over my pillow! I want to try the Remedy brand by one of the Doctorly derms, so plan to alternate that with my tret - will report back. Glad you like the Byoma ❤️
Enjoyed your video, Dez. I do a double cleanse as well. I like the Krave Re-wind cleanser or the Elf cleansing balm. I’m not allergic to fragrance, but I try to stay away from it in my face products. Don’t see the need to put fragrance on my face! Hope you have a great week❤
Ooh I may try the purito products. I use Cerave cream to foam cleanser to remove makeup and finish with the REN toner the Skin 1004 eye cream( also Korean) and currently I'm using the Cerave moisturising cream. Mornings I use the Revolution Sali Hughes cleanser, then the Sali Hughes vit C serum, I've got the Bubble eye cream for mornings and I use Skin 1004 SPF 50 as a moisturizer and SPF.
Your skin is looking gorgeous so obviously what you are using now is working well for you. I like your regime and the oil cleanse is easy, far easier than I thought it would be. You said you would talk about the sentilla? Leaf but maybe you forgot. My skin is delicate and sensitive so I need to treat it with care. Thanks for sharing. So, we’ve seen your pyjamas and undies and a bathroom. What next I wonder 😅😊
I did forget, Jacqui, apologies! My lovely mate Tina of Tina's Best Midlife did a great video where she explained what it is - th-cam.com/video/S90fBW2cBGo/w-d-xo.html - I think this is the one. And what next indeed - I am a terrible over-sharer 😉❤️❤️❤️
Just found your Chanel and Im enjoying it 😊 I have been cleansing, toning and moisturising every morning and evening since I was 16 I’m 62 now so that’s 46 years 😮 I think I have pretty good skin for my age but don’t know if that’s because I’ve looked after it or it’s genetics? I have used numerous products over the years, I’ve tried expensive skincare and drug store skincare and to be honest haven’t noticed a great deal of difference. My current skincare consists of Loreal Fine flowers cleanser and toner which I love and Olay total effects 7 in one day and night cream I also use an spf in the summer months by La Roche posay and exfoliate once a week with a Simple exfoliator. xx
That is very impressive, Carole, I wish I'd been as diligent! But I do think genetics can play a large part - my parents, especially my dad, had good skin so I think I was lucky to inherit that. Also agree v expensive products don't necessarily make a difference. Thanks so much for watching ❤️
Hey Dez, I think you are missing an opportunity to improve your undereye area. Why arent you using trentinion there. I have been using trentinion for almost 30 years always including my under eye area. I have no fine lines there and only one small crows foot on my left eye. I also do a double cleanse, first with organic avacado oil, then with Dove soap. Yes, I use a soap! I tried cleansers like ceptaphile or cerave but I feel like they leave a film on my skin. I use the trentionion every other night. I have been reading about and I am interested in maybe trying an estrogen face cream. It is supposed to help plump up the skin which trentinion does not do. Any thoughts on trying estrogen face cream?
I accept the challenge Eva! I stopped using under my eyes because I thought it was drying out my skin there - especially my right eye bag. But I'll start using it again there and see what happens. And yes have seen a couple of creators talk about oestrogen cream - when I place my next order for tret I'll ask my derm about it. I watched Angie Hot and Flashy's video and it seemed like it had made a bit of a difference but not a massive one. We are so late to the party here in the UK with tret - I'd never heard of it until about 6 years ago and then my derm at the time said I'd be allergic to it!
Fascinated by you saying that the hair you plucked came back thicker - not sure how this happens as you pull it out from the root. Facial hairs that are shaved have a blunt end and look thicker. It must be unusual, as we all know that those of us of a certain age plucked the living daylights out of our eyebrows, and eventually they don't grow back. I stopped using Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid as they both dried out my skin so much as did the Tretinoin. Probably should have persevered , but frankly I'm fine with my skin and have never had anything done. I look like a 77 yr old who has taken good care of her skin! I don't use a separate neck cream, but do use an eye cream - but my routine is down to three products in the am and three in the pm (after double cleansing) - and occasionally an extra layer of something like Nivea if I'm feeling particularly parched. I also thought that each of the different lash serums I've used over the years lasted months and months, but did find that after a while I needed to switch to a different one as the one I was using appeared to have stopped working. The one I like the best was GrandeLash - but I've even given up on that - just one more faff I didn't want!
i know, it makes no sense, right! But honestly it's so black and coarse, and just the one - very odd! I gave up Hyaluronic acid also, but I may go back to Vit C at some point. Simple is good 😉
I was watching you on TV last night Dez - Lesley Manville in Moonflower Murders! 😊 I hope I can say this on here, I have really sensitive skin and even the Simple brand irritates my facial skin. So I use Boots Micellar Wipes for extra sensitive skin if I've got makeup on and, like yourself, I do a double cleanse, the second being Boots Micellar Water on a cotton pad and when I'm not wearing makeup I just cleanse with the micellar water. Then I moisturise with Olay Sensitive - just the original beauty fluid, but I do use a few little drops of sweet almond oil mixed with the moisturiser. In the mornings, for over 36 years now, I've always used Seba Med soap free cleansing bar. I hope you don't mind me saying what my daily skincare routine is on your channel, but I think with sensitive skin, when you find products that really suit your skin then stick with it, because when I was younger - I'm 63 now - I've dabbled with different, sometimes more expensive products, and afterwards wished I hadn't because of the reaction of my skin. One thing I've always done though is, no matter how tired or sometimes worse for wear I've been, 🥴 remove every last trace of makeup! Thank you for sharing your routine, I do enjoy watching your videos! ☺️
@margarethogan4882 It sure is. I can only use that particular Olay moisturiser, the original sensitive beauty fluid, all their other ones like Regenerist and Total Effects, even though they're for sensitive skin, they still irritate mine - I come out in little red pimples. When I find something that suits me, I stick with it and keep my fingers crossed they don't change any of the ingredients! 🙏🏻🤞🏻
Aww Lesley - she is fab, isn't she! I wish I had her figure 😊And I absolutely love you sharing what works for you - that's what the channel should be about, sharing intel so we can all learn! And agree, when you have sensitive skin it's so important to find something that works for you. Last night I tried a facial oil my daughter gave me and it was rather nice, so I might try that now and again - non-fragranced, natch! Thanks so much for watching, Beverley and for your lovely comments ❤️❤️❤️
So glad to see you use a reuseable wash cloth, who cares if theres a few stains that don't come out in the wash!! I'm amazed at this generation that has to have everything 'throw away' cloths to take off make-up, face maskes, etc. I admit, I use face wipes when Im on holiday, and I have used the odd face mask as a special treat, when I really want to relax in a bath, candles, bubbles..lux treat, but not every week, whats wrong with just rubbing on the cream instead of having it soaked into a throw away mask all the time!? But the land fill... its their grandkids and great grand kids that will be dealing with it... and they'll probably still blame the Boomers, who were the most careful with their money, ate the least 'take out', still cooked from scratch, recycled, reused and repurposed to the last use before it was 'rubbish'...
I don't use throw away cloths - just a flannel (as we call them in the UK). Buy them by the dozen from Target, and use a fresh one every day and then launder - buy new ones when they start to look bad! The roughness of the cloth helps with exfoliation too!
Oh gosh yes - wipes are an occasional use for travel. There is some controversy about microfibre - Caroline Hirons is anti - but I find an actual flannel can be a bit harsh - I alternate though ❤️

I am also 70. God bless you!
Ps I use organic rose water as face toner. It's gorgeous.

I hope I can say this on here, I have really sensitive skin and even the Simple brand irritates my facial skin.
I do not have sensitive skin but always had a bad reaction to simple. Actually I can't use olay eithet😂. It's amazing how different we all arre🎉
❤❤❤
Yes, also use flannels ❤️
Rather a complicated and time consuming routine for me
