Congratulations AHC on having 2 FL5 in at the same time. Both of them looked amazing and hopefully look forward to seeing both of these having different builds and also having you guys doing amazing work on them look forward to more content from AHC Garage
The reason you have more in the right rear is due to the heat emitting from the vehicle or a vehicle on near by. We have the same issue at my dealership anytime we leave the cars running on the rack.
Unless you are wearing drivers gloves, leather steering wheel is the best option. The alcantara steering wheels always look gross from sweating/oily hands. The material doesn’t last as long.
Great Vid.... FL5 & RDX OWNER HERE..... I am Patiently waiting for more part options but I already purchased the same springs so far and a strut tower brace. I will be carefully watching for the updates.
I will keep the leather steering wheel. I live in the south and I would rather have my sweaty hands on leather. I am going to up grade to the OEM leather wrapped shifter though and do a 15% tint with a tint bar on the front.
nope, Spoon wheels are designed more of a performance part to swap in n out. Since they’re expensive people treat them like show wheels, I don’t blame them I would too.
What a dream build. I love it. Can I ask what the wheel specs are? I'm running a set of tsw kamora 18 by 8.5 35 offset and some rt660 255/40 on stock height, and it rubbed once in the back going over some sort of dip on the road. Thanks guys...looking to getting a set of spoon wheel for my 2019 fk8!
I have a question on the eibach sportline springs. How do they ride? Is it more bumpy than the factory ride? Also did you have to alter the oem bump stops? Why sport line vs the pro kit? Thank you! Great video.
They ride very well. As you can see on the video, we trimmed the bumper stop. Sportline provides a lower and sportier ride. Yet Pro-Kit is a great option as well
I'm sure it would look absolutely awesome. I'm not a spoiler guy. There's car that I love that have spoilers from factory that I would eliminate the spoiler immediately. For example Porsche.
2023 Integra shell +rdx 2.0t shawd vector steering equals 30% front 70% rear Integra rwd drift is a must have 🥺 please anyone swap my dreams n make it to reality
As an FK8 owner as well, I agree it’s a nice looking car. Unfortunately for us in the U.K. as it’s made from unobtainium I have literally 0% chance of owning one so I’ll be sticking with the FK8.
Just my opinion but rays, spoon, Magen, and all the legendary tuning companies need to offer options that at the very least match factory spec. Seems like everyone is downsizing their wheels because there are no factory equivalents offered by these companies. A perplexing trend for those of us that put larger wheels that weighed less than stock on our cars for ages.
Beware of the blown turbo (overboost) and snapped camshaft issue(s) with the new Type R! They're already coming back to dealerships with these issues in 100% OEM configuration! Crazy!
@AWD Obsession I'm seeing it at my local dealership.....my good friend of 20yrs is a lead Honda tech there. They've already seen 3 of these come back with these specific issues.
Hi theere , I have a question .. any rubbing issues with the this setup ? I just spoke to one of Spoon reps and they told me that with a 40 spacing that I willd defenately have some rubbing issues both front and rear ... I would really apreciate it if you can share any of thought or feedback on this matter ...
I will say, the first time I realize those wheels don't match a Civic. Never thought that day would come as I've liked those wheels on Civic hatchbacks. The current civic have so much that Euro sleek design, the wheels just doesn't match it's character.
I don’t think it’s a good idea to put springs designed for an FK8 on the FL5. Yes it fits, but that doesn’t mean it will work properly since both cars weigh differently.
The FL5 is gorgeous
Agreed!!
Thanks bro
It would be awesome to mod the rear wing with the same color in boost blue! This channel is a must for car freaks like me ! :)
That would be cool!
Beautiful done as always fellas! Great to see another Boost Blue getting some love! 👏
More to come!

Good point!
Finally makes sense of changing the wheels before alignment
Cool vidéo
I saw you installed on your white type R the Spoon lowering springs.
Can you make a small video to compare both eibach vs spoon?
Thanks
Will do
Been waiting for FL5 content finally 🔥
More to come!!

8:45 Can't go wrong with those wheels 🔥
Right on!!
Yes, it's so nice that you all only show it from low and in certain places... It's just a bummer...
SW388 looks unbelievable!
Love the new typeR..and can never go wrong with Spoon parts..I feel like there needs to be more tire sidewall tho
Cheers!!
Came here to say the same thing about the tires. Could've done at least a 275. The wheels are 9.5" wide.
275 is a bit too aggressive and might rubs over hard bumps and full turns
Just going to torque the lugs in a counter-clockwise rotation instead of a star ? Sketch
best episode ever 🔥
Cheers!!!🎉
Dirty boy
THAT LOOKS AMAZING
Cheers!!
nice video boys. im with Mike on the wheel. leather for daily...
Right on!
Alcantara wheels look nice for about a thousand Miles without drivers gloves…
Sheesh what a beauty. The rays lug nuts on the spoons is a little weird but the thing looks amazing!
Thanks for tuning in
Love the new type R
We do as well 😊
pov: you're shopping at abercrombie and theyre playing some chill ass edm but youre watching some FL5 installs on your phone

Dude, great beat! Got me dancing while I watch! ❤️

thinking of doing this wheel, tire, lowering setup on my integra
You should 👍🏼
this is the style wheel that i want to see on the type s, EXCEPT I don't want the spokes to angle out like they do in the spoon wheels.
So nice and beautiful. Thank you for sharing 👍
Thank you too

Tent bar? Like for camping?
@@RICARD01 sorry....should be tint bar.

Ballin! This is all id do on my R
Doing one at a time 😊
Are there center caps for these spoon wheels? Looks unfinished without them.
nope, Spoon wheels are designed more of a performance part to swap in n out. Since they’re expensive people treat them like show wheels, I don’t blame them I would too.
Spoon Center Caps are available as an option

Another beautiful build
Glad you like it, thanks again!!
With the Eibach vs Swift vs RSR springs, what’s the biggest difference you noticed in the drive modes, comfort and sport
Wondering this myself
wondering when they will answer I am wondering this myself before I buy one set
How low did you go? I have an FL1 not as cool as your FL5 but liked how it looks at that ride height
These lowering springs are about -1.4" drop all around
What a dream build. I love it.
Can I ask what the wheel specs are?

I think a car like that needs a quick release hub and 2 full steering wheels... one with Alcantara and one with leather.
Those are great ideas!!
Hey Guys, Great videos! just wondering where are you located?
Respect to AHC taking care of their customers cars during test drive. Dont be like Bespoke Motorsports. Crashing your customer’s car.
Much appreciate it
If your driving in the next video lads dont forget to blur the speed on the clocks

Those rims are nice. I want a Red FL5
on my 21 bb i'm trying to swap out of the alantara to leather and you're doing the other way around lol :D
😄😄
Sold my FK8 to save for the FL5. Such a beautiful car
Hope you will get one soon!!
Question.?? You are using the Type-21 software because 23 Hunter still doesn't have it available. I don't see the year in the video on the screen.
lets go an fl5 video😊
Cheers!!
What is the weight of those Spoon wheels? Sounds like it has that fake noise through the speakers thing.
16.976 pounds
Yes, it does have the fake noise pipe in through the speakers.
The outstanding content continues. Thanks so much AHC! 🇺🇸👍🏻
Our pleasure!!
Well I wonder what it would look like if I de-winged it. Is that sacrilege?
I'm sure it would look absolutely awesome. I'm not a spoiler guy. There's car that I love that have spoilers from factory that I would eliminate the spoiler immediately. For example Porsche.
That would be interesting to see
Are the spoon wheel nuts locking? Or do they just work with standard sockets? I'm concerned about theft.
Love it you guys are awesome 💪🏽💯💪🏽
Thanks!!!
Can you tell me what shift knob is installed on the blue FL5? Looks hot. Thanks.
Awesome video! Just so everyone knows, we are working on a new kit for the FL5.
Gorgeous color 🤩
I think so too!

@@davemorris6747 Sorry to hear

Will the springs settle a little lower after about a week? Will that change the alignment? Nice work.
Yes they will mostly settle a little more. Not enough to need a new alignment.
A week sounds about right
@@ahcgarage How does it ride compared to Oem? Very curious my self.
Wow 😲 it looks so nice 👍 what is the price??

Hello, I want ask I have the spoon wheels and I would like to repaint what is the appropriate number for the wheels ?
Thanks ❤
No issues with rubbing with +40? I will be running Enkei gtc02 +45 with 275, they fit really aggressive
No issue at all
Why here in Phil we have already alcantara
Alcantara steering wheel must be lighter right?
We didn’t perform the measurement but certainly felt like it does
I would highly recommend disconnecting the battery before ever touching that airbag.
Yeah tell the Honda techs what to do lmao

Are the factory wheels on the new Type R forged?
They have a forged option but those aren’t them
Stock wheels are cast

Sorry, it looked better with the factory wheels and before you lowered it.
what size and wheel for a stock fl2?
