I seen some reviews on goggles, bike accessories and tools and they were trash. So maybe if someone need a budget gear set minus anything safety related like goggles, helmet, braces, pads, protectors it’s an option. But you were right when you said you can usually find that stuff on sale. You’re only paying top dollar for the latest season drop.
Anybody that says team is a scam has never bought from it, I have bought upwards of $3000 worth of products over the last 2 1/2 years and I have only had two things come that I did not like, I even bought a chest protector, which saved my ribs from a deadly crash while mountain biking, temu is amazing
The fact that you’re noticing the zippers are trash, logo is pealing etc should tell you these are not “factory seconds”. They are 100% knock-off. It’s illegal what they’re doing selling products that are copyrighted & patented.

Companies that are hired to produce the products just use materials for an extra run of gear or whatever and sell it on an outlet. I don't know how much of that really goes on, but I suspect some.
