    Rockbros bags have been a great purchase. They latest models are high quality and pretty waterproof. Very durable and look well made. I have a top tube bag, a big rear bikepacking bag and a frame bag,

    TPU tubes and bike computer mounts are way cheaper if you buy them from Asia directly. Quality is a bit hit and miss with the computer mounts, but still worth a try with how expensive western brands usually are.

      Ridenow tubes are good. I just got a pinch puncture in mine, but my fault entirely way too low a pressure going off a drop in my gravel bike!

    • @DR_1_1
      @DR_1_1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@andrewnorris5415 I also had 1 pinch while riding with low pressure, then I pinched 3 while changing tyres!
      Then had 2 flats with new tubes - slowly deflating during the night - with a very cheap offer , like 1-2 euros by tube.
      All green RideNow, I'm still buying but will chose another brand if I get more fails.
      I bought a support and spare cover for Garmin eTrex, neither fitted the device! 30 euros net loss.
      A winter cycling vest for 20 € so far so good...

    Basically all the ”quality” stuff is also made in China so why would it not be possible for them to make other verisons as good but sell them at a lower price ?

    Chinese cassettes and chain rings are good, often the heavier materials like steel wear better! I have used them for 5 years now, great value. Chains, avoid, as they are very hard to make durable, my experience is they wear down quickly. Lights - there are great models that are waterproof, nice and bright. Only issue I had was one of them the socket got pushed in. So make sure be careful when plugging it into the light to charge up. Only a fiver though (rear light) and very bright with long running times. I already had a spare been using 5 years no issues! Brake pads from China are also good, been using for a while now.

    My wife orders from Temu about once a fortnight, so far no duds, but plenty of $5 refunds due to delays.
    Latest order has some bike stuff including those quick link pliers, so hopefully it's all good.

    A lot of quality hitters in this video. I'm rocking those exact shades and they're my current fave: super light, comfortable on my face at least, and doesn't get pinched by my helmet.
    The quick link breaker does its job, as does the Knog knockoff bell (22.2 MTB diameter, not 25.4). And the bar tape is bar tape, that's what we used back in the 90s.
    The shoes, they work but the nylon sole isn't the most comfortable. It's similar to my low end Pearl Izumi and they ache on long rides despite fitting fine.
    The rear light laser, I tried that many years ago and it's a great concept but the execution is poor: the laser is simply too thin and not bright enough to be useful from a distance.

    • @roadcc

      Shoes: worked but better options available for not a lot more, bell: worked, jersey: absolutely fine to start out in or those on a budget but I’d personally invest a bit more money if riding regularly/you can justify it (pockets could be improved and unisex fit always has limitations), glasses: good for the money

    It's amazing how people in Europe don't know how realistically cheap things are to produce. Every time I come across videos like this I laugh. The Chinese sell products almost at cost price, that's why they are so cheap not because of poor quality

    Stuff this cheap was probably not manufactured with good working conditions and probably no concern for longevity or the environment. I’m annoyed by both the insanely expensive and the insanely cheap products on the market. Yet few channels seem to cover the middle of the road, decent quality, but more affordable options that most of us actually use… seems there is a disconnect.

  • @rd22799
    @rd22799 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The reason why these items are cheap is the way they are produced. Poor quality, no quality control and last but not least poor working conditions for the people who produce these articles. The waist mountain gets bigger and bigger. And the owner of Temu is the richest man in China. Ask yourself if you want to support this by buying these products.

      Not true at all. Yes they access some data like pretty much every app or website in the world but that's not why it's cheap. Pinduoduo is the domestic version in China and even cheaper. They have a tax efficient structure and just don't apply ridiculous mark ups like USA and Europe. I wouldn't trust Temu with any form of identity or banking details. The fact that they refunded you without you requesting a refund for non-delivery is concerning, either their tracking system is awol (which means that they might also see your order as delivered without you having received it) or ... it's just a test for the access to your banking coordinates. Someone in the comments mentioned Poundland, I remember getting bicycle lights for £1 that cooked in the sun and became brittle, and anything that had a bolt would become rusty. HOWEVER, there is definitely a trend in the bicycle accessory world to overcharge for stuff. Seat posts for £249 not including a clasp at £29.99? Giz'a break... Temu would not need to exist if peopel didn't try to make a quick buck overpricing stuff.
